God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Thursday 30 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verses: 1 Corinthians 10:13 "No temptation has overtaken you except such is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."

Matthew 6:25,26  "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about this life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor your body what you will put on.  Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barn; yet your Heavenly Father feeds them.  Are you not more value than they?"

Being a new Christian, I have found myself stumbling lately with problems in my life because I had forgotten to ask God for help.  I had forgotten that there is no problem to great, to small or in between that God cannot help me with..  I have forgotten that I needed to taken every burden to God no matter how small and insufficient it might seem to me.

I think that as Christians we seem to think that God is to busy with someone to have time to worry about my problems and that is when we need to remember that God is everywhere at the same time and he listens to all our prayers and concerns and He is so eager to help if we but come to Him as out Abba Father and ask.   Matthew 7:7,8 says, "Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

I had gotten away from my Sunday morning worship with my Christian Brothers and Sisters.  Matthew 6:24 says, "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to one and despise the other.  You cannot serve God and mammon(money).  I had fallen into that trap of making money to care of my financial problems instead of worshiping God on Sunday mornings with other believers and living by faith that God would take care of and provide for me that things that I needed as a daughter to the King.

I had a long conversation with Joy from my Church and she reminded me that I needed to get my priorities straight with God and that I needed to be in church with believers to fellowship in song and praise and to realize that as a child of the King He will be with me to help me in all situations all I needed was to put my faith and trust in Him.  My sister Robin reminded me that, "God is in Time, On Tome, Every time."

My grandmother who is 88 and a woman of God took me to breakfast this morning and as we talked about this, she said, "Close your hand into a fist. Can anything get in or out with your fist closed?"  I replied, "no".   Then she told me to open my hand, and said, "Can things get in and out now with your hand opened?"  I replied, "yes", and she said, "The same is with the Holy Spirit, if you close your heart then He can't get in or out, but if you open your heart, then He will come in and indwell within you, and provide you with His power, and strength, and help you remain strong in the faith."  All I could say was "wow".  What a statement of faith from this godly woman and places her complete faith in God.

We as Christians sometimes worry about the things of our lives that takes us away from giving to God all our problems no matter what size they are and letting Him handle it and take care of it.  Please pray for me and all those who are going through family issues, financial issues, health issues and any other issue that is in there lives that might interfer with there relationship with God.  "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

May we as Christians do as Jesus said in Matthew 5:16, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in heaven."

Abba Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit,  Help us in each moment of our lives, to keep our hearts, minds and our eyes focused on You and the Cross of Calvary.  May we fight the good fight of faith and bring our petitions and request to You, and that as You listen to our prayers, that You answer them in accordance to Your Will.
                                                                                                   Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Tuesday 29 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Psalm 119:105 "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."

"Word" means the utterance of the Lord God.  That God speaks at all His people indicates His wonderful grace.  God's speech to us is something that the psalmist marvels at, for God has not spoken this way to any other nation.  God's word is a light that is to be used as a guide for living.

The flickering light cast by the olive lamp of the Bible times was only bright enough to show a traveler his or her next step.  Scripture to us is such a lamp.  God's Word gives us just enough light to see where we place our feet so that we can walk safely into our future.  We as believers do not need a searchlight that casts light on coming weeks and years.  All that is in our Almighty God's hands.  We only need enough light to make sure the next step we take is just and right.

Today's Hymn: "Thy Word Is A Lamp Unto My Feet"(verse 1)

When I feel afraid, think I've lost my way, still You're there, right beside me
Nothing will I fear, As long as You are near
Please, be with me to the end
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, How grateful we are that we indeed have Your word which is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our feet.  May we read Your Holy Word and hid it's words in our hearts that we might not sin against Thee, and that we might use it in our daily battle against the forces of this world, and in bringing others to the truth and the light.
                                                                                                                                       Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Monday 27 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verses: Romans 8:14-17 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.  For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by who we cry out, "Abba Father".  The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if  indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together."

In 8:16 the witness of the Spirit is the inner assurance of God's truth.  One of the conditions of this inner conviction concerning the things of God is obedience to His known will.  God uses the Holy Spirit to convict us of truth that cannot be understood other than through divine help.

In Matthew 16:17 Peter received spiritual insight from God as to who Jesus really was.  This knowledge does not mean that Peter had nothing more to learn, because in Matthew 16:23 we see that Jesus rebuked Peter for his lack of spiritual insight.

On July 11th at 11:55 p.m. last year, I experienced the unmistakable presence of the Holy Spirit in my life and I will never be the same again.  We as Christians sense His promptings and respond.  I have found a new freedom in my relationship with God.  Deep down, my changed life and my sense of closeness to God make it absolutely clear--that I am a daughter of the King. (Wow)  If you are reading this and you do not feel it, BELIEVE IT.  If you BELIEVE IT, and ACT on it, you will surely FEEL IT.

Today's Hymn: "Child Of The King"

My Father is rich in houses and lands
He holdeth the wealth of the world in His hands!
Of rubies and diamonds, of silver and gold
His coffers are full, He had riches untold
I'm, a child of the King, a child of the King.
With Jesus my Savior, I'm a child of the King.

Abba Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how I thank you for Your to us the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit the second that we believe and trusted in You.  What a transformation it is to to have the Holy Spirit's guidance in our life's and to lay up our treasures in heaven and not to be of this world, but to seek the presence of God and to be the branches that we might bear much fruit for the kingdom of God.
                                                                                                                     Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Saturday 25 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verses: Exodus 3:13,14 "Then Moses said to God, "Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they say to me, 'What is His name?' what shall I say to them?"  And God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM."  And He said, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel , 'I AM has sent me to you."

There are three primary names of God: (1) Elohim (God), (2) Jehovah or Yahweh and (3) Adonai (Lord).  Each of these names points out a different aspect of the nature of God.  The name Elohim occurs 31 times in Genesis 1, where is stresses His strength and creative power.  The name Yahweh is most often used to express God's self existence, particularly in relation to humanity.  Adonai means "master" and emphasizes the authority of God.

The one who spoke to Moses in these verses declared Himself to be the eternal One.  Only the Creator of all things can call Himself the I AM.  All other creatures are in debt to him for their existence.  Also here in this passage God declares His relationship with the people of Israel.

Even today, because God reveals Himself in His names, Christians should understand them to better serve Him.

Today's Hymn: "This Is The Day That The Lord Has Made"

This is the day that the Lord has made;
He calls the hours His own;
Let heaven rejoice, let earth be glad
And praise surround the throne

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit  how great it is to be a child of the Great "I AM".  Help us and teach us Holy Spirit the names of our Almighty God and that we as did the people of Israel might come to know and understand them as God reveals Himself to us.
                                                                                                                                Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Friday 24 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse:  Romans 1:17 "For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."

From faith to faith means faith is at the beginning of the salvation process and it is the goal as well.  When a person first exercises faith in Christ, that person is saved from the penalty of sin and declared righteous ("Praise God").  As we live by faith, God continues to save us from the power of sin to live righteously.

What kinds of or expressions of faith are there in the Bible?  In Scripture there are six. (1) Doctrinal faith refers to the content of Christian belief (2) Saving faith is trusting in Christ and in Him alone for salvation (3) Justifying faith is the Christians reliance on the fact that God has declared him or her righteous (4) Indwelling faith is trusting God's Word in and through us (5) Daily faith is that day to day dependence on God which is part of the sanctification process (6) the Gift of faith is a special ability of faith, resulting in a vision of what God can do, faith that is the means by which we can achieve that vision, and the power of God to get answers to prayers.

Salvation has past ( forgiveness), present (power to live a godly life) and future (resurrection transformation).  Faith in Christ is the key to experience every aspect of salvation, from first to last.  We as Christians should remember that it is impossible to please God without faith.

Today's Hymn: "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" (verse 1)

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassion's, they fail not;
As thou hast been, Thou forever will be.
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hast provided
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit strength our faith Lord in You so that in our daily lives we might serve You and bring glory to Your name which is above every name.  How thankful we are that Your promises never change and You never change your mind.  Thank you Lord for Your faithfulness unto us.
                                                                                                       Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Thursday 23 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Ephesians 5:15,16 "See then that you walk circumspectly. not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil."

To walk "circumspectly" is to step gingerly, or "watch carefully how you live." We should watch our path to avoid contact with undesirable influences.

In verse 16 redeeming the time means "taking advantage of opportunities", or making the most of very opportunity" for service.  We have a limited amount of time on this earth. We as Christians need to exhort as much time as possible for advancing message of the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world. We must clearly understand what the will of the Lord is.

Today's Hymn: "A Shelter In The Time Of Storm"

A shade by day, defense by night, A Shelter in the time of storm;
No fears alarm, no foes afright, A shelter in the time of storm
Oh, Jesus is a rock in a weary land; a weary land;
Oh, Jesus is a rock  in a weary land, a shelter in the time of storm

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, As we arise each morning to start a new day and as we dress to get ready for that day, remind us to put on love so that honor and glorify you in all that we do and say.
                                                                                                                   Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Wednesday 22 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Deuteronomy 6:4,5 "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one!  You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all you strength."

Moses repeatedly stressed to the the Israelites to respond to God's love with devotion.  In this context, the word love may mean "to take one's choice in."  God commanded His people to choose Him with all their hearts, soul's and strength, and in that to deny all other supposed deities.

The Scriptures basic principles are laid out here.  Parents are to love God themselves and take His words to heart.  In verses 6-8 they are then to talk about His words in the living of their daily life, and so make them real to their boys and girls.

In Mark 12:28-30  one of the Jewish scribes listening to Jesus speak, asked Him, "Which is the first commandment of all?"  Jesus responded to the question with this verse from Deuteronomy and also added, "And the second , like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'  There is no other greater commandment then these."

Today's Hymn: "At The Cross" (verse 1)

Alas! and did my Savior Bled, and did my sovereign die
Would He devote that sacred head, for sinners such as I?
At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light
And the burden of my heart rolled away
It was there by faith I received my sight
And now I am happy all the day

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit  as we have read Today's Scripture reading may we as Christians apply the words spoken by Moses in the Old Testament and then spoken by Jesus in the New Testament  into our daily lives of loving you Lord, with all our hearts, souls and strength. How happy we are Lord that by faith we have placed our faith and trust in You and we are happy all the day.
                                                                                                                 Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Tuesday 21 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Isaiah 40:13,14 "Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, Or as His counselor has taught Him? With whom did He take counsel, and who instructed Him, and taught Him in the path of justice?  Who taught Him knowledge, and showed Him the way of understanding?"

God is the only being in the universe that possesses independence from the creation.  The only limits to God's freedom are in His own nature and attributes.  God is unlimited in His existence.  Because His existence relates to His nature rather than His will, God will exist forever.

In Exodus 3:13-15 when God revealed His Name to Moses at the burning bush, He called Himself "I AM".  This name revealed God's self existence, the fact that He always existed and always will.  Neither anyone nor any outside force will effect God's relationship with us.  He will deal with us according to His nature because He is free from any outside influence.

Today's Hymn: "Victory In Jesus" (verse 2)

I heard about His healing, of His cleansing power revealing,
How He made the lame to walk again, and caused the blind to see;
And then I cried, "Dear Jesus, Come and heal my broken spirit,"
And somehow Jesus came through and brought me the victory
O victory in Jesus, My Savior forever
He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood
He loved me, 'ere I knew Him, and all my love is due Him
He plunged me to victory, beneath the cleansing flood

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit,  How thankful Abba Father we are that You are the great "I AM".  How thankful we are that You are the same Yesterday, Today and Forever and that You are always faithful to the promises You make and that You never change Your Mind.  Thank You Jesus for bringing us the victory because of the Cross of Calvary and Your Resurrection from the grave.
                                                                                                                                Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Monday 20 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: John 17:4,5 "I have glorified you on the earth.  I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.  And now, O Father, glorify Me now together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with you before the world was."

In verse 4 Jesus says, "I have gloried You." Jesus here makes known the Father by completing the work God gave Him to do.  Jesus in verse 5 looked to the Father to restore Him to the glory He had in heaven before he left.  This is another indication of Christ's preexistence and deity.

The celestial glory that Jesus had from the beginning was temporarily hidden, during his earthly life.  At the ascension of Christ, Jesus was both glorified and transfigured. We will note the contrast between the post-resurrection appearances of Christ with the post ascension.  In the post resurrection appearances of Christ, He often concealed His glory to the point that he was not recognized, such as the disciples at Emmaus (Luke 24:16, 31), or by Mary Magdalene in (John 20:14) who thought that He was the gardener.

The post-ascension involved His radiant appearance.  The difference between John's meeting with Christ in John 21 and in Revelation 1 was that of seeing the Resurrection body (not glorified) and of later seeing the transformed and celestial body (glorified).  Someday all Christians will be glorified together with Christ.

Today's Hymn: "God Will Make A Way" (verse 1)

God will make a way, when there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot not see, He will make a way for me
He will be my guide, hold me closely to his side
With love and strength, for each new day
He will make a way, He will make a way

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit  How we as Christians look forward to the day when we like Christ will have our transformed bodies and share with Christ in all His glory.  How we look forward to spending all eternity with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior where there will be no more sickness, no more pain, no more death, no more tears and no more sin.  May we as John in the closing verses of Revelation say, "Come, Lord Jesus, Come".

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Saturday 18 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Deuteronomy 29:29 "The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law."

The secret things refers to the future, as well  as the way in which the curses would come to pass.  The will of God had been revealed in the law.  If these revelations were acted upon, the people of Israel would receive God's great blessing.

While even today we can appreciate God's creation and be impressed by what is reveals concerning Him, our most complete record of what God is like is in the Bible.  Just as it was for the people of Israel to ignore the express commandments of God would be foolish, so it is with  Christian today have been given what God has revealed in the Bible.  To ignore that while chasing after things God has left secret is also pure foolishness.

Today's Hymn: "Take My Life And Let It Be" (verse 2)

Take my voice, and let it sing always, only for my King
Take my lips, and let them be filled with message from Thee
Take my silver and my gold; not a mite would I without
Take my intellect, and use every power as Thou shalt choose

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit  How thankful we are that you have given us the Bible Your Holy Word that we might learn about You.  Help us Lord to focus on what You have presented and revealed to us and not focus on the things that You have not.  As we grow as Christians in reading Your Word, open our hearts, minds and souls to what we read that we might apply its teachings to our everyday lives, so that we can be victories in You and sing praises to You the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
                                                                                                                                Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Friday 17 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Ephesians 5:18-21 "And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in fear of God."

The words "be filled" here mean "be continually filled," meaning that the fullness of the Spirit is a repeated experience for the believer.  When a person is drunk with alcoholic beverage, his or her walk, talk and sight are controlled by alcohol.  God desires that the minds of Christians be controlled by the Holy Spirit so that we will walk in the Spirit, speak on behalf of God, and understand the things of God.

Because people are indwelt by the Holy Spirit at salvation, they do not get more of the holy Spirit, but the filling of the spirit occurs when the Holy Spirit gets more of the believer.  As we establish our fellowship with God through confession of sins and yield to Him, we can be filled with the Spirit if that is our desire and prayer.

Every Christian should be filled with the Spirit in order that he or she might have God's power to serve Him.  How important that we drink deep of Him, and let Him give direction to our lives.  When we all keep God as the focus of our lives, we shine brightly with His light.

Today's Hymn: "Grace Greater Than Our Sin"

Marvelous grace of our loving God, Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt
Yonder on Calvary's mount out poured, there where the blood of the lamb was spilled.
Grace, grace, God's grace, Grace that will pardon and cleanse within
Grace, grace, God's grace, Grace that is greater than all our sins

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit  What a wonderful blessing and experience it is that at the second of our believing in Jesus Christ we are indwelled by the presence of the Holy Spirit who guides us, teaches us and councils us.  It is our prayer Lord that fill our cup to over flowing so that we might shine for you in our daily lives.  Thank You Abba Father for Your Grace"that is greater than all our sins".
                                                                                                                Amen

God's Words of Wisdon from the Bible for Thursday 16 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: 1 John 2:27  "But the appointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie , and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him".

We are to base base our walk with the Lord with the truth that He has given us.  Believers who know God's standards and desires for us but fail to put these truths into practice in their lives will also not mature in Christ.

The verses in Ephesians 4:11-16 would indicate that the Spirit often uses human instruments to fulfill His role of enabling believers to distinguish between truth and error.  It is the word of God that furnishes the believer with knowledge, and which the Spirit then makes relevant and applicable in the believers life.

Our anointing is not the act of rubbing or spreading, but on that which one is anointed.  Here, this is the Holy Spirit who teaches us.  The Holy Spirit will enable the true believer to recognize truth and error and to remain in Him.

Today's Hymn: "A Shelter in the Time Of Storm"

The Lord's our Rock, in Him we hide, a Shelter in the time of storm;
No fears alarm, no foes afright, A Shelter in the time of storm
Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land, a weary land, a weary land
Oh, Jesus is a rock in a weary land, A Shelter in the time of storm

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit,  How gracious you are our Abba Father that when we confess our sins that You forgive and cleanse.  Help us Lord not to be wanting of the things of this world, but to be anointed by the Holy Spirit so that we will not be led astray by the false prophets of this world, and that we might recognize the truth and keep our eyes fixed upon You.
                                                                                                                                           Amen

Bible Scripture for Saturday 21 May 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Blog Title: "Celebrating God's Universal Rule"
Today's Scripture Reading: Psalm 47:1-9
Today's Key Verse: 47:2  "For the Lord Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth."

Psalm 47 is one of the six psalms of the divine kingdom, the psalm celebrates the Lord's kingship over all the earth.  It begins with a universal call to praise Israel's God.  This is reinforced with reasons: He is an awe inspiring God, he redeemed Israel and settled them in their land, and He presently is ruling in Israel.

A second call renews the need for praise.  It is likewise reinforced with a reason: the revelation that His kingship is destined to be universal.  The last verses speak prophetically of the time when the Lord Jesus will reign on earth.

This psalm has three parts: (1) a call to shout in triumph at the coming of the King (verses 1-4); a call to shout in triumph at the enthronement of the King (verses 5-7); (3) a call to rejoice in the rule of the king (verses 8,9).

Today's Hymn: "My Hope Is Built On Nothing Less"

My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus' Name
On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit  Our hope as Christians is indeed built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness.  We praise You as the Creator of Heaven and Earth and that You are the Coming King.  May we clap our hands and shout for joy to You Lord who saves and and cleanses us from all unrighteousness.

Today's Biblical Truth: "Jesus is our King, because He is our Savior"

"Just For Today" God's words of Wisdom from the Bible for Wednesday 15 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

"Today's Bible Verses: Isaiah 54:17 "No weapon formed against you shall prosper. And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn.  This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me, Says the Lord."

That's good news to anyone who has ever been unjustly accused. It encourages anyone who has ever been the butt of office gossip or who has lost a promotion because someone fed lies into the rumor mill.  Its good news to anyone whose heart has been crushed by life's unfairness in all its forms.

It's even better news to those of us who sometimes find themselves facing the accusations of a guilty conscience or who struggle when satan tries to indict us.  (It's no accident his name means "the accuser" or "the slanderer"!)

We are in truth, guilty.  And yet, in the cross of Our Savior, our Father's promise stands: "You will refute every tongue that accuses you."  This promise takes our breathe away--or it will when we hear what God is telling us!

Even when the indictment is true, we will refute all charges!  Four little words will do it:
Jesus Died For me.

In this world, justice sometimes fails.  In heavens court, though, justice always prevails.  Our Father knows and tells the truth about us.  He will proclaim it throughout eternity: In Jesus we are vindicated, righteous, holy.

Today, Lord....Assure me that in the Cross of my Savior you only see the best in me.  Help me trust You to accomplish Your holy purposes in my life now and to bring me safety home...

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Tuesday 14 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: John 5:17,18 "But Jesus answered them, 'My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.'  Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Him equal with God."

Jesus in verse 17 basically tells the Jewish leaders that His Father is God and that He is the "only begotten Son", meaning the unique Son of God.  Here He claims not only a unique relationship with God the Father, but also equality with God in nature.  Since God continually does good works without allowing Himself to stop on the Sabbath, the Son does likewise, since He is equal with God.  The Jewish leaders understood the implications of the claim of Jesus.

Christ, the second person in the Trinity, is equal to the Father in nature, seperate in person, yet submissive in duties; as such He is God.  Some people even today say that Jesus never claimed to be God.  People who make this claim simply have not read the New Testament very carefully.  The high priest and religious leaders knew very well what he was claiming.  They hardened their hearts and refused to believe and was determined to kill Him.

Today's Hymn: "Anywhere With Jesus"

Anywhere with Jesus I am not alone,
Other friends may fail me, He is still my own
Through His hand may lead me over drearest ways
Anywhere with Jesus is a house of praise
Anywhere, anywhere!  Fear I cannot know
Anywhere with Jesus I can safely go.

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit,  How thankful we are that Jesus is indeed the only begotten Son of God and that He is The Way, The Truth and The Life.  Holy Spirit fill our cups till they overrun with Your Mercy, Your Love and Your Grace.  Let the Light of Christ shine within us so that others will be drawn to us that we might be able to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.
                                                                                                                                     Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible Monday 13 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Joshua 24:14.15 "Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve him in sincerity and in truth, and put away god's which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt.  Serve the Lord!  And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose house you dwell.  But as for me and and my House we will serve the Lord."

Joshua's words in these verses contain a rare appeal to the people of Israel to choose between God and the many false substitutes.  The choice is never between serving God and personal freedom, the choice is always between God and other masters--whether pagan gods, our powerful passions, or wealth, success and power.

With his famous words, Joshua clearly and with conviction took his stand on the side of the Living God.  As a leader Josuha modeled for us even today a perfect leaders actions.  We as Christians must be willing to move ahead and commit ourselves to the truth regardless of the reactions of others.  We as believers need to follow the bold example of Joshua as we reach out to others for the Lord.

Today's Hymn: "Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing"

Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the fold of God
He, to rescue me from danger, interposed His precious blood
How His kindness yet pursues me, mortal tongue can never tell
Clothed in flesh, till death shall lose me, I cannot proclaim it well

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit  May we as Christians always proclaim to others as Josuha, "as for me and my house we will serve the Lord."  Thank you for Your love, Your grace and Your Mercy.  Strengthen us in our weakness, Protect us from the evil one, and guide and teach us with the Holy Spirit.
                                                                                                                             Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Sunday 12 June 2011To

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Isaiah 14:12-14 "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!  How you are cut down to the ground, you who weaken the nations!  For you have said in your heart: I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of congregation, on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High."

These verses reveal the five vaunting "I Will" statements that revealed the twisted passion of satan the "creation" and his attempt to replace the Creator as Lord.  Originally created as one of God's highest angels, possessing all angelic attributes, and because of PRIDE, satan led angels in a rebellion against God.  He is described as the originator and chief practitioner of sin, that wicked one,a thief and destroyer, a deceiver, a murderer and liar, and the accuser of the brethren.

The subtle nature of satan is reflected in the first temptation, and in his titles "angel of light", and him that "deceiveth the whole world.  The present day activities of satan include opposing the will and work of God, counterfeiting the work of God, and destroying all that is good.

We as Christians can overcome satan when we remember four basic principles: (1) Jesus is greater than satan and we must have respect for the enemy and his cunning ways .  In Jude 9 we read that even the archangel Michael did not confront satan except in the Name of the Lord. (2) a wise Christian will evaluate his or her life and avoid those situations where he or she is most likely to be tempted. (3) We should  resist the devil by submitting to God  and (4) We as Christians should be prepared by wearing the whole armor of God.

Today's Hymn: "There's Sunshine In My Soul"

There is sunshine in my soul today, More glorious and bright,
Than glows in any earthly sky, for Jesus is my Light
O there's sunshine, blessed sunshine, when the peaceful happy moments roll;
When Jesus shows his smiling face, there is sunshine in my soul

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, We as Christians are living in a world where satan is loose and he is flinging those fiery darts and seeking to devour us.  Help us as Christians Holy Spirit  to put on and use the whole armor of God that we might resist the devil and he will flee from us.  How thankful we are for the Light of the world whom lives within us so that even on our dark and gloomy days lights, He lights our path for us and keeps us focused on him and the Cross of Calvary.
                                                                                                                                         Amen

God's words of Wisdom from the Bible for Saturday 11 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: James 1:17  "Every good gift and every perfect gift if from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning."

Since all changes are either for the better of for the worst, God is unchanging because He is perfect and cannot get better or worst (Wow what a statement about our Almighty God).  The Scripture describe God's nature, will and character as immutable or unchanging.

To be immutable, however, does not mean to be immobile.  God has qualities of personality and can act, think, create, and make decisions.  Our Abba Father is unchanging; therefore, we as Christians can depend on His love and power because God has not changed from the foundation of the world. He is and always will be the same, Yesterday, Today, and Forever.
Today's Hymn: "Almost Persuaded"

"Almost persuaded," come, come today
"Almost persuaded," turn not away
Jesus invites you here, angels are lingering near
Prayers rise from hearts so dear, O wanderer, come!

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit  How thankful we are that our Abba Father is always unchanging and Your love for us is never ending.  How thankful we are that You are our srength and fortress.    As we start each day may our prayer be to you as that of Isaiah the Prophet, "Here I am Lord, Send Me"
                                                                                                                  Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for 10 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

In my my Daily Scripture Reading in what I call Blog 1 we have covered 61 Chapters in the Book of Psalm.  In studying this Book it has uniquely enriched my understanding of my relationship with our Abba Father.  I have found in studying this Book that the writers have openly shared their doubts, fears, joys, and triumphs.

They express a deep sense of sin, and overwhelming relief for forgiveness and confidence and praise to those who are united by faith to the Lord.  Individual believers have turned to this book for Comfort and Inspiration.

Today's writing is for those who are going through the storms of life, for those who are having family or martial problems, financial problems, discouragement or fears of the unknown.  It is my prayer that as you look at these verses from the Book of Psalm that you will find Comfort and Encouragement and that the Holy Spirit will give you the strength like an eagle to soar to Him and receive the blessings and comfort of our Abba Father.

I was with a friend at lunch yesterday and she said to me, "When I am having problems in my life, I run and hop on the lap of my Heavenly Father and lay my head on His chest, with His Loving and strong arms around me and listen to His heart beat that says, "I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU".  Wow!!!!!  What a statement of faith.

Where To Find Comfort And Encouragement From The Book Of Psalm

When you feel abandoned                                                                                        Psalm 10
When your world seems to be falling apart                                                             Psalm 46

When your family gets on your nerves                                                                    Psalm 127; 127
When you are facing a dauntless challenge                                                             Psalm 27
When you feel discouraged by the apparent prosperity of the wicked                    Psalm 37; 73
When you do not feel very thankful                                                                         Psalm 107
When you feel as though God has forgotten you                                                    Psalm 139
When you are tempted to lose faith in God                                                             Psalm 62
When you lose your eternal perspective                                                                 Psalm 90
When you feel like you are barely hanging on                                                        Psalm 86
When you are wondering what God expects                                                            Psalm 15
When you want to know God better                                                                         Psalm 42; 63
When you need to reminded of the Goodness of God                                             Psalm 103
When you need to recommit yourself to serving God                                            Psalm 116
When you need wisdom                                                                                             Psalm 119
When you need a reminder of God's mercy                                                             Psalm 136
When you feel like celebrating                                                                                 Psalm 95-100

It is my prayer that each of you will be going to psalm 95-100  each day to celebrate, rejoice and sing praises to our Almighty God, to our Abba Father.  That you will indeed run and jump into the lap of our Abba Father and lay your head on His chest and feel His strong and loving arms around you and hear the beat of His heart as it pounds into your ear "I LOVE YOU".

God's Word's of Wisdom from the Bible for Thursday 9 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Romans 5:19  "For as by one man's disobedience, many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many were made righteous."

"Disobedience" are specific acts that violate standards established by God and also focuses attention on a corrupt human nature.  Sin lives in the human personality.  It is a distortion of that which God created a warning of our natural desires, understandings, and wills, so that we want and choose what is wrong.

The word "made" in this verse means, "to make", "constitute".   As the result of Adam's sin, we are as the human race became sinners.  It was because of the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ that we are made righteous.  Through the word of the Holy Spirit, the believer who has been declared righteous by God will continue to become more righteous.

Today's Hymn: "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" (verse1)
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father, There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not, Thy compassion's they fail not, As Thous has been, Thou will forever will be
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness, Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided,Great is Your faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit  Thank You for making us righteous because of the shed blood of Your Son Jesus Christ, who died to set us free, and release us from the shackles of the bondage of sin and eternal death.  We Thank You and praise Your name, that we now belong to Christ, and out heritage in Him, is righteousness and eternal life.
                                                                                                                        Amen

God's Word's of Wisdom from the Bible for Wednesday 8 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus"

Today's Bible Verse: "Hosea 10:12  "Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, till He comes and rains down righteousness on you."

As planting and plowing are necessary steps for growing a crop, which will sprout when the rains falls, so it is with a Christian.  The Holy Spirit plows us (convicts us), and plants the seeds, and the Word of God is the rain that waters the seeds in our hearts, that we might grow and mature into His likeness, and His Will.

God calls all of us, His people to serve Him.  If we are committed to Him, and if we commit ourselves to the tasks to which He calls us, we will fulfill our potential, and will bear the fruit of His love, as we reach out to bear fruit to others.

Today's Hymn: "A New Name In Glory"

I was once a sinner, But I came, pardon to receive from my Lord
This was freely given, and I found, that He always kept His word
There's a new name written down in Glory, and it's mine Oh yes it's mine
And the white robed angels sing the story, "a sinner has come home."
For there's a new name written down in glory, and it's mine, O yes it's mine
With all my sins forgiven, I am homeward bound for heaven, never more to roam

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit   Thank You Lord for the Holy Spirit, which plants the seeds in our hearts, and Thank You for Your Holy Word which provides the rain to water the seeds in our hearts that we might grow in Your love and mercy.  As the seeds grow within our hearts, may we grow and bear much fruit for you, as we become the branches of reaching out to others for you.
                                                                                                                                    Amen

God's Word's of Wisdom from the Bible for Tuesday 7 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Esther 4:14 "For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise from the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish.  Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"

This verse contain the providence of God.  Mordecai, by his confidence that relief and deliverance would come from another place was asserting his faith in God and His promised protection of the Jewish people.

Because of Esther's reluctance it brought an affirmation of faith from Mordecai.  Although God remains unnamed in the Book of Esther, you can see his movements behind the scenes and Mordecai is undoubtedly remembering the Lord's promises to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and David, which would not be kept if the Jewish people were exterminated.

Today's Hymn: "All Because Of Calvary"

All my sins are gone, all because of Calvary;
Life is filled with song, All because of Calvary;
Christ my Savior lives, Lives from sin to set me free;
Some day He's coming, O wondrous, blessed day,
All, yes, all because of Calvary

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit   May we have the faith of Mordecai that we might see, understand and act according to Thy leading.  May we arise each day to give You the praise and glory for which You so richly deserve.  Praise God that all our sins are indeed gone because of the Cross of Calvary.
                                                                                                       Amen

God's Word's of Wisdom from the Bible for Friday 3 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: John 16:8 "And when he has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and judgment."

Convict means "convince" or "reprove."  The Holy Spirit would demonstrate the truth of Christ beyond the fear of contradiction.  The Holy Spirit convicts unbelievers through believers who witness about Christ.

Believers are the mouthpiece for God's voice.  The content of the witness that that the Spirit reinforces includes truth about sin, righteousness, and judgment.  Christians today should depend upon the ministry of the Holy Spirit to help them understand truth and respond accordingly.

Today's Hymn: "Pass Me Not O Gentle Savior"

Pass me not, O gentle Savior, Hear my humble cry
While on others Thou are calling, Do not pass me by
Savior, Savior Hear my humble cry, while on others Thou art calling
Do not pass me by.

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit  Thank you Abba Father for the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit that You send to us the second that we accept Your Son Jesus Christ into our lives.  Holy Spirit guide us, teach us and use us to spread the Good News about Jesus Christ and His saving grace.
                                                                                                                               Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Thursday 2 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Proverbs 9:1 "Wisdom has built her house, She has hewn out her seven pillars."

The "wisdom of God" is used in three senses in Scripture.  (1) it refers to the higher perspective by which God understands things that man is incapable of understanding (2) it can refer to the understanding which a Christian should have in life (3) Wisdom is seen as a type of Christ who is our wisdom.  A wise Christian will obey the wisdom of God.

Today's Hymn: "I Need Thee Every Hour"

I need Thee every hour, most gracious Lord
No tender voice like Thine can peace afford
I need Thee, O I need Thee, Every hour I need Thee
O bless me now, my Savior, I come to Thee

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit  May we in our daily prayers to Thee, be as wise as Solomon and request the gift of wisdom that we might have a better understanding of You Abba Father and that as we as Christians will obey Your wisdom.
                                                                                                        Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Wednesday 1 June 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: 2 Peter 1:16  "For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eye witnesses of His majesty."

In Matthew 17 Jesus was temporarily glorified in the presence of three disciples.  This was foreshadowing of Christ's coming in power and glory to establish His kingdom.  The presence of Moses and Elijah was on the mountain represented all those who enter the kingdom by death or translation.  The declaration of the Father reinforces Christ's dominion over His kingdom.

False teachers were claiming that Jesus resurrection and return, as well as the Holy Spirit indwelling of believers, were all cunningly devised fables.  Peter in this verse countered their faith claims with eyewitness accounts.  Peter himself had actually seen the power and coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.  These are the twin themes of this letter: the power of Jesus available for holy living and the coming of Jesus as the glorious hope of each believer.

Since Christians live expectantly looking forward to the return of Christ, they ought to give Him first place in their lives today, just as He will have in the kingdom.

Today's Hymn: ""Almost Persuaded"

"Almost persuaded" now to believe, "Almost persuaded" Christ to receive
Seems now some soul to say, "Go, Spirit go Thy way, Some more convenient day
On Thee I'll call."

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit,  May the power of Jesus and the indwelling Holy Spirit help us to live our lives in daily praise to Christ and to give Him first place in our lives.
                                                                                                                                                 Amen
Today's Biblical Truth: "The Scriptures indicate that fruitful and faithful living will be rewarded by greater privileges and rewards in glory"
