God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ from Cindi, a daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Verse: Psalm 18:35-36 "You have given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great.  You enlarge my path under me, so my feet did not slip."

Here in verse 35, we see the use of battle armor, a shield.  Kings and rulers are described as "shields" protecting their people.  Here we see the shield, as an image of God's provision for the RIGHTEOUS.  This image is found in both the Old and New Testament:

Genesis 15:1, we see that God describes Himself as Abraham's "shield," and in 2nd Samuel 22:3, David PRAISES the Lord for being his "SHIELD, "STRONGHOLD" and "REFUGE."  In Ephesians 6:16, Paul says, "above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one."

So my friends, we see God is our SHIELD and that we as believers have the PROTECTIVE GUARDIANSHIP of God.

In verse 36, we see that God also will ENLARGE our PATH, so that we DO NOT SLIP.  Isn't it great to know that our ALL KNOWING, and ALL LOVING God is there to HELP us so that we as believers DO NOT SLIP, and if we do, He is there to CATCH us. "Wow"

It is GOOD to PRAISE the Lord
It is GOOD to GAZE upon His MAJESTY
To PROCLAIM His LOVE in the MORNING
And His FAITHFULNESS at NIGHT
Oh, it is GOOD to WORSHIP and PRAISE the Lord

Jesus Reigns, and He is, Has Been, and ALWAYS Will Be in Complete and Total Control!!! May God's Peace, Love, Strength, and Grace be you all.  May we as Christians reach to heaven with one hand and with the other reach out to the lost and dying of this dark and sinful world.  May we like John at the close of the Book of Revelation say, "Come, Lord Jesus, Come."

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ from Cindi, a daughter of the king of kings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Message  "I REUSE"

                                                "I REFUSE"

I REFUSE to be DISCOURAGED, To be SAD or to CRY
I REFUSE  to be DOWNHEARTED, and here's the REASON WHY
I SERVE a God who's MIGHTY, who is SOVEREIGN and SUPREME
I SERVE a God who LOVES me, and I am on His TEAM
He is ALL-WISE and POWERFUL, and Jesus is His Name
Though everything is changeable, My God WILL ALWAYS REAMAIN the SAME
My God KNOWS ALL that is happening, BEGINNING to the END
His PRESENCE is my COMFORT, and He is my DEAREST FRIEND
When SICKNESS comes to WEAKEN me, To bring my head down low
I CALL out to my Abba Father, and into His ARMS I GO
When CIRCUMSTANCES threaten to ROB me of my PEACE
Jesus DRAWS me CLOSE to Him, and there ALL my STRIVINGS CEASE
When my HEART melts within me, and WEAKNESS takes CONTROL
He GATHERS me in His Arms, and He SOOTHES my HEART and SOUL
The GREAT "I AM" is with me, and my LIFE is in His HANDS
The "Son of God" is my HOPE, and it in His Strength I STAND
I REFUSE to be DEEATED, for my EYES are on Jesus
He has PROMISED to be with me and NEVER LEAVE nor FORSAKE me
ALL my SINS are FORGIVEN, and I am SAVED by the GRACE of God
My PRAYERS have REACHED the Throne Room of GRACE, and I REST in His LOVE
I GAVE THANKS and PRAISE in EVERYTHING, for my GOD I SEEK to PLEASE
The BATTLE is His, the VICTORY is MINE, and like Paul He'll HELP me WIN the RACE
For in Jesus, I CAN DO ALL THINGS through Christ who STRENGTHENS me
PRAISE GOD, for INDEED I am REDEEMED!!!

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 2 October 2014, from Cindi, a daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Verse:

Psalm 71:5 "For You are my hope, O God; You are my trust from my youth."
Psalm 71:8 "Let my mouth be filled with Your praise, and with Your glory all the day."

Psalm 71, is a psalm of LAMENT with a major focus on the psalmist TRUST in God.  This psalm alternates between expressions of DESPERATE NEED and RESOLUTE TRUST in the Lord.  Verses 5-8 are rich in expressions of TRUST and COMMUNION with God.

You are HOPE in verse 5
You are my TRUST in verse 5
You are He, my PRAISE shall be to You in verse 6
You are my STRONG REFUGE in verse 7
Your PRAISE and GLORY in verse 8

The psalmist MODELS what BELIEVERS should REACT to SUFFERING.  A Believer should COMPLETELY TRUST the Lord in ANY difficult SITUATION or CIRCUMSTANCE, but at the same time, CRY to God for DELIVERANCE.

In verses 9 and 18, the psalmist describes himself as an old man, and one who speaks out of mature experience with the Lord.  He PRAYS for HELP, but affirms his CONFIDENCE in the One he has found FAITHFUL  from his youth.  Although in danger, the psalmist will "ALWAYS have HOPE and ALWAYS PRAISE God."

We today, just as the psalmist did in today's Scripture Reading, need to REMEMBER, that despite life's TROUBLES, we can COUNT on God to RESTORE us, REVIVE us, and RENEW us, as we  COMMIT ourselves to Him, in a life that is in COMPLETE SONG and PRAISE to Him, as we follow the GUIDANCE of the Holy Spirit each day, and PICK UP our CROSS and WALK in the Footprints of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Have a God Filled and Spirit Led Day.  Go in Peace and Serve the Lord our God with Gladness.  Love God More Today.  ALWAYS remember that when you have a spiritual, emotional, relational, physical, or financial dilemma in your life, and you yell out, "I CAN'T," Listen to the Sweet, Soft, and Tender Voice of God as He WHISPERS to you, "BUT I CAN."
