God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 30 June 2012"

Today's Bible Verse: Psalm 91:2 "I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my salvation; My God in Him will I trust."

The writer of Psalm 91 is unidentified and this psalm is one of "Trust."  This psalm is similar to Psalm 90 which was a psalm written by Moses, and it could have be authored by Him or another writer could have used the experiences and ideas of Moses to write this poem.

The key word to describe this psalm is SECURITY.  There are two distinct voices in the psalm, and each speaks to us as believers in TRUSTING in the Lord.  The first voice assures the faithful of God's PROTECTION.  The second Voice is that of the Lord Himself, who likewise pledges His WATCH CARE.

This psalm has for parts to it: (1) a confession of confidence in the Lord (verses 1,2); (2) assurance that those who trust in the Lord need not fear evil (verses 3-8); (3) promises of God's protection to the coming One (verses 9-13); (4) a description of the Lord's protection of the coming One (verses 14-16).

We as believers must remember that deliverance still has to be the will of God, and if  harm should come our way, God will still wrap His Strong Loving Arms around us, and we will be secure in His Presence.

Today's Biblical Truth: "God is an all protective shield for the believer."

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how thankful we are for Your protection and guidance in our daily life's.  Thank You Lord Jesus for taking our sins that was leaving a crimson stain and washing them white as snow.   Protect us and watch over us as we live our life's upon this our temporary home for Thee.  We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.     Amen

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 28 June 2012"

Today's Bible Verse: Hebrews 13:5-6 " Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have.  For He Himself has said, "I will never leave nor forsake you."  So we can boldly say, "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear: What can man do to me."

"I will never leave nor forsake you."  "Wow" What a message this is to our hearts.  This statement is perhaps one of the most profound statements in the New Testament.  Jesus unlike us who abandoned  Him in the Garden of Gethsemane and at the Cross will never abandon, or forsake us.

The bottom line of these two verses is: it isn't how much money we have in the bank or what material things that we might have.  It is the fact that God loves us and is committed to us every second, of every minute, of every hour, of every day and is always here for us and someday we will be spending all eternity basking in His Love and Glory.  That my friends is REAL SECURITY.

Today's Biblical Truth: "Faith results in a lifetime of dedicated Living for Christ."

Have a God Filled and Spirit Led Day.  Go in Peace and Serve the Lord our God with Gladness. God's Words of Wisdom

."Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 26 June 2012"

Today's Bible Verse: Galatains 3:13-14 "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."

When Jesus died for us, He took the curse of God upon Himself.  By being crucified, Christ became cursed for us, and our sins were placed upon Him.  Because our faith unites us to our Savior, His death is considered ours, and in Him our sins, have been punished, so that we might be set free.

In verse 14, the word "that" appears twice, identifying two reasons that "Christ hath redeemed us from the law."  (1) that Gentiles might receive the blessing of Abraham (justification), and (2) that believers might receieve the Holy Spirit (indwelling of the Holy Spirit).  This tells us that when one is justified, he or she is at the same time divinely granted the Holy Spirit.

Today's Biblical Truth: "If you want changes in your life that God hasn't made yet, don't become impatient, instead,  leave it in God's Hands, and trust God's timetable."

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how incredibly comforting as Christians, it is to know that Jesus became our curse on the Cross of Calvary.  Thank You, Abba Father, for the grace that You have given us through Your Son Jesus Christ.  Thank You Jesus, for the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit, that You send to us the second that we accept You as our Lord and Savior.      Amen

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 21 June 2012"

Today's Bible Verse: Romans 3:23-26 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  Being justified freely to His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God has set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because it is in His forbearance God has passed over the sins that were previously committed to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus."

In verse 23, we are told that no one can live up to God's perfect way because, "all have sinned."  No one can live up to what God created us to be because, we all "fall short of His glory."  We cannot save ourselves because as sinners, we can never meet God's requirements. Our only hope is "faith" in Jesus Christ.

In verse 24, Paul tells us that those who believe (verse 22) are justified, that is, "declared righteous," freely, without cost, by God's "GRACE."  Jesus on the Cross of Calvary died to provide redemption and pay the price required to ransom us from our sins.  By His paying our death penalty for our sins, Jesus freed those that believe in Him from their sins and transfers His "righteousness" to those who believe in Him.  On the basis of Christ's righteousness alone believers can approach God's Throne with praise.  Because of God's LOVE and GRACE we have been restored to a proper relationship with Him through His Son Jesus Christ.

In verses 25 and 26, we are told by Paul, that because of the death of Christ, He satisfied the justice of God.  He has paid the penalty of sin in full.  Paul here cites two reasons why the righteousness of God comes through the death of Jesus: (1) to demonstrate that God Himself is righteous, and did not judge the sins committed prior to the Cross and (2) the reason for the Cross is that God wanted to show at the same time, that is is the One who can "declare sinners righteous."  Because of our Savior's death, God does not compromise His Holiness when He "forgives" us as "sinners."

Today's Biblical Truth: "Because of God's unending love, and because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ, we as sinners have been restored to a proper relationship with our Abba Father."

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 19 June 2012"

Today's Bible Verses: Romans 1:17 "For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."

From faith to faith means, "faith is the beginning of the salvation process and it is the goal as well."  When a believer first exercises faith in Christ, we as believers are saved  from the penalty of sin and declared righteous (Praise God).  As we live by faith, God continues to save us from the power of sin to live righteously.

In Scripture, there are six expressions of faith: (1) Doctrinal Faith: which is the content of the Christian belief (2) Saving Faith: is trusting in Jesus and in Him alone for salvation (3) Justifying Faith: is the Christians reliance on the fact that God has declared him or her righteous. (4) Indwelling Faith: is trusting in God's Word in and through us (5) Daily Faith: is that day to day dependence on God which is part of the sanctification process (6) Gift of Faith: is a special ability, resulting in a vision of what God can do.  Faith is the means by which Christians can obtain that vision, and the power of god to get answers to prayers.

Salvation has past (forgiveness), present (power to live a godly life), and future (resurrection transformation).  Faith in Christ is the key to experience every aspect of salvation from first to last.  We as Christians should remember that it is impossible to please God without faith.

Today's Biblical Truth: "The proof of the deity of Jesus is in His Resurrection from the Dead."

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, strengthen our faith in You, so that in our daily lives, we might serve You, and bring glory to Your Name which is Above Every Name. How thankful we are that Your promises never change and that You never change Your mind.  Thank You Lord for Your faithfulness unto us.     Amen

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 14 June 2012"

Today's Bible Verse: Romans 8:28-29 "As we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the Image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.'

God had his purpose in mind when He saved us.  No one and no thing can keep Him from His goal, or us from our destiny in Jesus.

We are not told everything that happens to us is good in the sense of pleasure.  God does not promise pleasure, but he does promise that all things will contribute to our good in the sense of being for our benefit.  God will use every experience to make us more like Him.

Those who love God are those who are called by God.  Our love is the response to the work of the Holy Spirit within us.  We as Christians are called according to His purpose.  God does EVERYTHING, including REDEMPTION, in order to accomplish His overall plan.

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus,  Holy Spirit, how thankful that we are called according to Your purpose.  Thank you for the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit that teaches us, guides us and fills us with the power from on high.  Stand by us Lord in all that we do so that we might bring Glory and Honor to Your Name which is Above Every Name.    Amen

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 12 June 2012"

Today's Bible Verse: Ephesians 5:18-21 "And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in fear of God."

The words "be filled" here means "be continually filled," meaning that the fullness is a repeated experience for the believer.  When a person is drunk with alcoholic beverage, his or her walk, talk and sight are controlled by alcohol.  God desires that the minds of Christians be controlled by the Holy Spirit, so that we will walk in the Spirit, speak on behalf of God, and understand the things of God.

Because Christians are indwelt by the Holy Spirit at salvation, they do not get more of the Holy Spirit, but the filling of the Spirit establishes our relationship with God through the confessions of our sins, and yield to Him, we can be filled with the Spirit if that is our desire and prayer.

Every Christian, should be filled with the Spirit, in order that he or she might have God's Power to serve Him.  How important that we drink deep of Him, and let Him give us directions in our lives.  When we keep God as the focus of our lives, we shine brightly with His Light.

Today's Biblical Truth: "Christ reveals Himself in the way we live and the way we relate to others."

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 7 June 2012"

Today's Bible Verse: Psalm 37:31 "The law of his God is in his heart; None of his steps shall slide."

The Law of God is the extension of God's nature and expression of God's Will in His creation. God's Law is expressed in different forms, relating to different areas of His creation.  The Physical Law of God includes the laws of nature which govern the continuous physical existence of this world.  The Moral Law, also called "the perfect law of liberty," governs the immaterial issues of life.  The Social Law of God affects interpersonal relationships and can be summarized by the "royal law."  The Spiritual Law deals with men and women's relationship with God.

The purpose of law is to reveal the sovereignty of God, and place a restraint on the sinner, to show the penalty and reality of sin, and to lead the sinner to Christ.  The purpose of the Law DID NOT CHANGE with the gospel.  As Christians we should be concerned to live decently and orderly in our service for Jesus.  As Christians we should declare our love for God's Law and make every effort to make it part of our life.

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, may we as Christians and as Your children give You our King all of our devotion and all the best that we have to give.  Help us Lord to make Your Laws a part of our life's so that we will each day become more like you.     Amen

Today's Biblical Truth: "God knows that our days on earth are only the beginning of our days with Him in eternity." (Praise God )

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 5 June 2012"

Today's Bible Verse: Romans 12:1-2 "I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to god which is your reasonable service.  And to not be  conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is good and acceptable and perfect Will of God."

In verse 1, based on God's mercy we as believers are to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, meaning that we should use our bodies to serve and obey God and such giving is a "newness of life."  "Holy" means "set apart for the Lord's use", "acceptable" means, " pleasing to Him" and "reasonable" indicates that such a gift is the only rational reaction to all the good gifts God has showered upon us.

In verse 2, conformed means "To form" or "mold."  Don't let the world around you squeeze you into its own mold.  The world exerts all sorts of pressure us to adopt to its way of thinking.  But believers are not Jell-O.  We don't have to conform to this world.  We are transformed from within by God.

Spiritual transformation starts in the mind and heart.  A mind dedicated to God's truth will produce a life that can stand the test of time.  We can resist the temptation of this world by meditating on God's truth and letting the Holy Spirit guide and shape our thoughts and behaviors.  Trust God's will to be good, test your confidence by doing God's will, and you will discover God's way is truly good, pleasing and perfect.

Today's Biblical Truth: God has given EVERYONE one or more GIFTS that can be USED in His SERVICE."

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, help us in our endeavor not to be like Jell-O and be conformed to this world, but shape us, mold us, and transform us in accordance to Your Will.  You Abba Father, are the Potter, and we are the clay.  Thank You Father for making us a way when there is no way.  Keep us ever so close to You and provide us our Strength in all that we do.     Amen
