God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 26 April 2012"

Today's Bible Verses: 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 "There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.  There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.  And there are differences of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all."

Gifts in these passages refers to Spiritual capabilities that God gives individual Christians, through which He may strengthen His people.  Diversities...differences...diversities: the first portion of the "gift formula" expresses diversity.  Same Spirit, same Lord, same God.  The second expresses unity. Though people are gifted differently by God, God and His work are unified.

These verses contain "six key" teachings on Spiritual Gifts: (1) there are different kinds, (2) each comes from the Holy Spirit, (3) No gift indicates a person has "more of" the Spirit than another, for "the same God works all of them in men," (4) Each person has a Spiritual gift, (5) these are distributed sovereignty by the Spirit, and (6) They function within the Church for the "common good" of the body.

Today's Biblical Truth: "Every individual believer has a vital role assigned by God Himself."

"For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his sanints; they are preserved forever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off." Psalm 37:28

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 24 April 2012"

Today's Bible Verses: Romans 8:28-29 "And we know that all things works together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purposes.  For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren."

God, had His purpose in mind when He saved us.  No one, and no thing, can keep God from His goal, or us from our destiny in Jesus.

We are not told that everything that happens to us is good in the sense of pleasure.  God does not promise pleasure, BUT He does promise, that all things will contribute to our good in the sense of being for our benefit.  God will use our every experience to make sure to make us more like Him.

Those who love God, are those who are called by God.  Our love is the response to the work of the Holy Spirit within.  We as Christians, are called according to His purpose.  God does EVERYTHING, including REDEMPTION, in order to accomplish His overall plan.

Today's Biblical Truth: "God will truly make you like Jesus."

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how thankful that we as Christians are called according to Your purpose.  Thank You for the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit, that teaches us, guides us and fills with the power from on high.  Stand by us Lord in all that we do that we night bring Glory and Honor to Your Name which is above Every Name, and that we might proclaim the Good News of Salvation that comes through Jesus Christ our Lord.    Amen

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 21 April 2012"

Today's Bible Verse: Psalm 31:20 "You shall hide them in in the secret place of Your Presence, from the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion, From the strife of tongues."

In Psalm 31, David, appeals to God who is and has been his refuge.  He feels his danger intensely, but continues to trust in God.  Having experienced God's goodness, David exhorts "all his saints" to love and trust God

We as Christians need to let God's Presence override everything that we experience.  Like a luminous light, we need to be a beacon to the lost, and let the Holy Spirit hover over us, and in us, in everything that we say and do.  The Holy Spirit is training us to stay conscious of God in each situation that we may encounter.

When the patriarch Jacob, ran away from his enraged brother, he went to sleep on a stone pillow in a land that seemed desolate.  But after dreaming about heaven and angels, and the promises that were made to his father, and his grandfather, he awoke and exclaimed, "Surely the Lord is in this place" (Genesis 28:16).  May each day, we as Christians proclaim, "The Lord is in my my life and He lives in my heart."

Today's Biblical Truth: "God provides the means of salvation for everyone, enlightens the sinners understanding, and regenerates the believing soul."

"Say to those who are fearful hearted, "Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, With the recompense of God; He will come and save you." Isaiah 35:4

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 12 April 2012"

Today's Bible Verse: Romans 3:23-26 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  Being justified by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God has passed over the sins that were previously committed to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justificer of the one who has faith in Jesus."

In verse 23, we are told that because of sin, we cannot live up to what God created us to be, so we fall short of His glory.  We cannot save ourselves, because as sinners we can never meet God's requirements.  Our only hope, is faith in Jesus Christ.

Verse 24 tells us that those who believe are justified freely without cost by God's Grace.  By paying the penalty for our sins on the cross, Jesus can free us from our sins and give us righteousness, so that we can approach God's Throne with praise.

Verses 25 and 26 tell us that by the death of Jesus, Christ satisfied the justice of God on the Cross of Calvary.  God is righteous and at the same time the only one who can declare sinners righteous.  Because of Christ's death and His shed blood, God does not compromise His Holiness when He forgives a sinner.

Today's Biblical Truth: "God's faithfulness does not depend upon the faithfulness of man."

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, How thankful that You have made us righteous through the blood of Your Son Jesus Christ.  How thankful we as believers can come before You through Your Son.  May we always remember that the only thing that can wash away our sins, is the blood of Jesus.              Amen

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 10 April 2012"

Today's Bible Verse: John 14:5-6 "Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You going, and how can know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, No one comes to the Father except through me."

The thought of Jesus leaving threw Thomas into despair.  If Jesus left, how would he ever learn the way to Him?  Jesus answer was that "I am the way, the truth and the life.  No one can come to the Father except through me."

Through His death and resurrection, Jesus is "the Way" to the Father.  He is also "the Truth" and "the Life."  "As Truth," He is the revelation of God.  "As Life" He is the communication of God to us.  Jesus did not tell him here about 'the way," nor does He show them "the way."  He does even guide them along "the way."  He says, "HE IS THE WAY."

The word "truth" in verse 6, is used in two ways in Scripture: (1) true as contrasted with false and (2) genuine as contrasted with unreal.  Although both apply to God, when we speak of the truth of God, normally His genuineness is contrasted with false gods of other religions.  The Scriptures in this verse declare Him "the only true God (John 17:3).  When Elijah the prophet confronted the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel, he challenged them to evaluate the genuineness of the Lord and of Baal (1 Kings 18:21).  The true God answered by fire.  Because the Lord is God, we as Christians are obligated to Him in all His demands.

Today's Biblical Truth: "The Holy Spirit is called the "Spirit of truth," because He is truth and guides us into all truth."

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 8 April 2012"

HE IS RISEN
Matthew 28:1-10; Mark 16:1-8; Luke 24:1-12; John 20:1-10

HAPPY RESURRECTION DAY!!!

Today, we as Christians, and believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, Celebrate the Glorious Commemoration of the Greatest, and Biggest Event in the History of the World, that being the
the Resurrection from the Dead, of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who through His Resurrection forever Conquered Death, Sin and the Grave and DEFEATED Satan forever.

Even the magnificent event of the Creation, pales in comparison.  Indeed, it would have been better never to be born, than come to our end on earth WITHOUT a Risen, Glorified Redeemer. With the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, we were released from the shackles of the Bondage of Sin. (Thank You Jesus)

The Resurrection Of Christ Included Five Accomplishments:

(1) The Physical Renewing Of His Life
(2) The Reunion Of His Body and Spirit
(3) The Subjugation Of Death Under Him
(4) The Attainment of His New Position
(5) His Receiving Of A Transfigured Body

What His Resurrection Means To Me:

(1)That He Is the Son Of God
 (2) That God's Word Is True and It Pointed To Jesus Throughout Old Testament Prophecy
 (3) That Death Has No Hold Over Me
 (4) I Have Eternal Life and Will Have A Glorified Body Like Christ Some Day
 (5) His Resurrection Is the Key To Victory In My Life
 (6) That Jesus Is the Resurrection and the Life
 (7) I have Spiritual Power Through the Indwelling Of the Holy Spirit
 (8) The Chains Of Bondage To Sin Have Been Broken Forever
 (9) That I Can Come Into the Throne Room Of Grace Through His Son Jesus Christ
(10)That I Will Spend All Eternity Basking In the Light and Love Of Jesus

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how thankful we are Jesus, that you arose from the grave on that third day after Your death on the Cross of Calvary.  Thank You Jesus for conquering death, sin, and the grave thus defeating Satan forevermore, and breaking the shackles of sin and freeing us from the death that we deserved because of our sins.  May we go boldly and do as You commanded us as Christians, to tell others about Your Free Gift of Salvation, that You provided for us on Calvary, because of Your Great Love, Mercy, and Grace for us.    Amen

"Our help is in the Name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth." Psalm 124:8

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 3 April 2012"

Today's Bible Verses: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 "Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?  For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit which are God's."

Through are union with Christ, our bodies have become His temple, temples in which the Holy Spirit dwells.  Whatever we do in the body must honor Christ, for He is present in us, because he is now us.  Not only is the local church a temple of the Holy Spirit, but the individual believers body itself is a temple of the Holy Spirit.  Praise God for the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit which guides, teaches us, and helps us to follow in the footsteps of Jesus .

The blessed fact that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit has two sides: (1) that He is ours and (2) that we His.  The believer was purchased on Golgotha's hill.  The price paid was the blood of God's on Son (Acts 20:28).  This has a profound  significance for the believer (1 Timothy 4:10;   1 Peter 2:9).  Thank You Jesus for paying the cost to redeem us from our slavery to sin.

Today's Biblical Truth: "Believers should clothe themselves with Christlike characteristics such as Truth, Righteousness, and Peace."

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how we Thank You for Your Son Jesus Christ, who took it upon Himself to go to the Cross of Calvary to die and shed His blood to forgive us of ALL our sins and to cleanse us of ALL unrighteousness.  How thank we are that because of Your shed blood that the crimson stain that was upon us has been washed away and we are as white as snow.  Lord our strength indeed is small, but because of Jesus we can find in Him our all in all.     Amen

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 1 April 2012"

Today's Bible Verse: Hosea 10:12 "Sow for yourself righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the Lord, Till he comes and rains righteousness on you."

Israel, like a trained heifer, was called to a task by God, to work His land and enjoy its produce.  There was the potential of sowing righteousness and reaping unfailing love.  But Israel not only failed to realize her potential. she abused her position as God's servant.  As a result the people now faced punishment.

Just as plowing and planting are necessary steps for growing a crop, which will sprout when the rain falls, so it is with a Christian.  The Holy Spirit plows us (convicts us), and plants the seeds and the Word of God is the rain that waters the seeds in our hearts that we might grow and mature into His likeness and His Will.

God calls all of His people to serve Him.  If we are committed to Him, and if we commit ourselves to the tasks to which He calls us, we will fulfill our potential, and will bear the fruit of His love, as we reach out to bear to others.

We as Christians don't need to look into the mirror and admire our spiritual muscles.  We need to look to God, and admire His.

Today's Biblical Truth: "I am a branch on the vine of Christ."
