God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 29 March 2012"

Today's Bible Verse: "Colossians 3:15-17 "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.  And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."

"Wow" What a message this is.  I love the worship service portion of my church experience each week.  I love being able to sing praises to the "King of kings and Lord of lords" with other God fearing Christians, as it recharges my spiritual well being, and gets my heart and mind ready for the message that will be presented by the pastor.

In Today's Bible verses, a beautiful calm and harmony emerge, as Christians focus on living as God's new people.  As Christians assemble, and worship the "True" and "Living God", and "His Son Jesus Christ"together, true unity and peace will result.

Unified and confident, God's people will focus on what is really important in the Christian life.  As Christians, we need to always focus doing whatever we say and do in the Name of Jesus, and giving God thanks, through Him. As Christians, we are under a microscope at all times, as those around us watch us on how we react to life's situations.  The church as the body of Christ, is a continuing incarnation of the Lord, to whom we are all intimately linked, and as a Christian, we have the prayer support and comfort of other Christians when we have a crisis in our life's.

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how worthy You are to receive all our praise.  It is so wonderful to gather in Your House, and sing praises to You our God, our Savior, our Redeemer. May we keep Your songs of praise upon our hearts each day in everything that we say and do, that we might bring Glory and Honor to your Name which is above every Name.   Amen

Today's Biblical Truth: "Continually commit everything you do or say to Jesus, and then Thank God for all His good gifts."

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for 27 March 2012

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 27 March 2012"

Today's Bible Verse: Revelation 22:18-21 "For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.  He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen."

The Book of Revelation was intended to be heard and obeyed (1:3; 22:7), not tampered with.  The person who either "adds to" or "takes away" from its contents will receive from God the strictest punishment, a punishment with eternal consequences.  This terrifying warning is even stronger than that of Deuteronomy 4:2 and Proverbs 30:6.

The fact that Jesus is "coming quickly" within the scope of God's overall plan for this Creation is a repeated theme throughout Revelation (3:11; 22:7,12).  John adds the hope of all believers to the declaration of Christ by praying, "come, Lord Jesus."

"The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ" begins and concludes the Book of Revelation, implying that the message of grace and the "free gift of eternal life" in Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9)--not merely the message of judgment upon believers--can be found in this book.

Today's Biblical Truth: "Learning to forgive, frees us to move forward, in spite of our losses."

God's Words of Wisdom for 22 March 2012

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 22 March 2012"

Today's Bible Verse: Titus 2:11-14 "For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own people, zealous for good works."

Twice in verse 11, Paul speaks of Christ's appearance in history.  The first time, Christ came in "GRACE" to save us from our sins, and the second time, He will come to "JUDGE and REIGN."

The grace of God is to provide two things in the life of the believer: (1) We are to resist the evil temptations of this world and live godly lives (2) We are to look for the return of Christ.  One of the strongest statements of the deity of Christ in the New Testament was made by Paul in verse 13, when he says, "Great God and Savior Jesus Christ."

Redeem means to "purchase."  Redemption is the act of Christ's purchasing the believer by His blood, so that we might be freed from our past captivity to sin.  We are reminded here, that God's purpose in redeeming us, is only to save us from "hell" but He also wants to "free us from sin," so we can sin produce good works that will glorify Him.

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how marvelous it is to be redeemed because of the shed blood of Your Son Jesus Christ.  May our live our life's in holiness, marked by a dedication of doing what is good and righteous for You.   Amen

Today's Biblical Truth: Christ died to redeem us from sinful ways.  No wonder we are to reject ungodliness."

God's Words of Wisdom for 20 March 2012

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 20 March 2012"

Today's Bible Verse: 1 Corinthians 1:18-19 "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.  For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent."

The word "fool" or "foolish" indicates those who look at reality with a distorted perspective because they fail to take God into account.

The message of the Cross is the gospel, the Good News about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for our sins.  The gospel penetrates to the core of self-centeredness.  For those who exalt self, the message sounds absurd.  But for those who bow humbly in faith, it becomes the power that is able to take us from death and give us eternal life.

We as Christians must hold to the central reality of our faith, Christ, for He is the source of all our righteousness, holiness and redemption.

Today's Biblical Truth: "Appreciate gifted leaders, but give you allegiance to Jesus."

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Thank You that because of the Cross, and because of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we as believers have been released from the penalty that we deserve, and have been given Eternal Life through You.   Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Tuesday 13 March 2012

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 13 March 2012"

Today's Writing is from Psalm 31
Today's Verse is: Psalm 31:24 "Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD."

Psalm 31 is a psalm of lament, but it has such a strong element of trust that it can also be classified as a psalm of Trust.  David appeals to God, who is and has been his refuge.  He feels his danger intensely, but continues to trust in God.  Having experienced God's goodness, David exhorts "all his saints" to love and trust God.

The phrase "I put my trust" pictures the action of a bird seeking erfuge under its mothers wings.  A different word for trust occurs in verses 6 and 14 which has the connotation of leaning on someone or something.  Th imagery of God as the "rock" and "fortress" for the believer occurs often in the Psalms.  In verse 5 the words, "into your hands I commit my spirit," David expresses a complete dependence on God, his life is in God's hands to do as He pleases.  These words of David were spoken by Jesus on the Cross shortly before His death.

"I am in trouble" are words of lament and this begins the lament section of this psalm.  "My eyes wastes away" David expresses his sorrow. It is possible that what faces David here is a terrible illness, pehaps a physical condition that makes him repulaive to others.  With the words, "my times are in your hands," David reaffirms his earlier expression of complete dependence of the Lord.  davis petitions the Lord, who is in complete control of his life, for deliverance.

Verse 19 begins the praise section of this psalm.  David affirms that the delights of knowing God far outweigh any other kind of pleasure.  God makes us Christians safe in the intimacy of His friendship.  The words, "I said in haste" refers to the fact that David said things in his pain that he would not say under normal circumstances.

We as Christians need to let God's Presence override everything we experience.  Like a luminous light, we need to be a beacon to the lost and let the Holy Spirit hover over us and in us, in everything that we say and do.  The Holy Spirit is training us to stay conscious of God in each situation that we may encounter. Whenever we feel a distant away from God, we as Christians need to say, "Surely the Lord is in this place" (Genesis 28:16).  We then need to pray ask ask our Abba Father to give the awareness of His Presence, for this is a praye that God "delights" to answer.

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for 10 march 2012

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 10 March 2012"

Today's Bible Verse: Luke 13:3 "I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish."

Repentance was a common theme in the preaching of the prophets in the Old Testament.  In the New Testament, John the Baptist (Matthew 3:8); Jesus (Mark 1:15); and the apostles (Acts 2:38, all spoke of the need to repent.  The point of Jesus in today's Bible Verse is that everyone stands at the edge of death until repentance occurs.  The death in view here is spiritual, not physical.

Repentance is necessary for salvation, but repentance alone does not save.  It means to change one's mind about sin in such a way as to result in a change of actions.  In this verse, it is similar to conversion, which involves both "repentance and faith."

Repentance begins with a change of thought concerning sin, often resulting in a sense of godly sorrow.  In coming to Christ for salvation, there is also a change in will.  Repentance is produced in ones life by means of the Word of God, the chastisement of the Lord, belief of the truth, a new vision of God, and the Holy Spirit's conviction of our hearts.  Jesus taught that repentance could not be produced by miracles (Matthew 11:20-21), not even by someone rising from the dead (Luke 16:30-31).

In the Old Testament, Manasseh was carried into captivity, before he acknowledged his sin and repeated.  On His trip through Jericho, Jesus encountered a man named Zaccheus.  This man repeated, although he lived an evil life for many years.  Both of these men found salvation, yet others whose lives have been less evil, remained unsaved because they will not repent.

Whenever God speaks to a Christian about a certain sin in their life's, we should "IMMEDIATELY" fall down on our knees and repent and depend on God to give us the victory.  Like Job's friends, people assume that since God is "Just", suffering proved that a person is guilty of a sin.  Jesus rejected this view.  Jesus pointed out in today's verse that "everyone" stands at the edge of death until repentance occurs.  We are "all" sinners.  Unless we "repent", we are in peril of "Eternal Judgment," not just "physical death."

Today's Biblical Truth: "The manner in which a person dies, is not a measure of righteousness; what is important is not to die outside of God's Grace and Care."

Gods Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Thursday 8 March 2012

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 8 March 2012"

Today's Bible Verse is for all those who are going through financial issues, health issues with yourself, family or friends, job issues or spiritual issues.  May God's Blessings be with you and may He uplift you in accordance with His Will.

Today's Bible Verse: Isaiah 40:28-31 "Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is He weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, and to those that have no might, He increases strength. Even the youth shall faint and be weary, and the young shall utterly fall, but those who wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

"Wow" What a message about the strength that God gives to us His children.  God is not only everlasting, He is the Creator of the heavens and to ends of the earth. Since God neither faints nor does He grow weary, He CAN meet ALL our NEEDS.  He will NEVER EVER let us DOWN.  Isaiah refers to creation to illustrate God's Greatness.  God made ALL THINGS, SUSTAINS ALL THINGS, and RULES ALL THINGS.

He alone could fabricate a material universe and establish nature's processes, could shape male and female in His image, and so launch history on its course and guide its progress, and God alone will be able to renew this universe, purging it of all evil by initiating a new heaven and a new earth at history's end.

This is the Creator to whom the Prophet Isaiah presents and to whom we give our Praise.  God alone is able to give existence to the world and new life to you and me.  Power, strength, and might are words that are interchangeably in the Old Testament and they emphasize a personal relationship with Him.  His strength flows into and enables you and me.

Our human strength never will compare to the power of our Almighty God.  We are to wait with complete confidence, expectation, and hope in the Lord. The transforming power of the Holy Spirit brings power to the Believer.

The eagle in verse 31 gives us the picture of the strength that comes from the Lord.  The eagle is God who gives strength to those that have been there Faith and Trust in Him. Comfort?  Comfort INDEED!!! Pray without ceasing.  Lay your petitions in the Throne Room of Grace.  Always remember that God is Loving, Caring, Gracious and that He is our Almighty God.  Even though we don't understand why He allows things to happen the way that they do in our life's, we need to always Pray and ask in accordance with His Will and His timetable.

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how we praise You as our everlasting God.  Thank you for the strength and hope that You give to those that have put there Faith and Trust in You. Help us Lord, as we serve You, to run and not be weary, to walk and not faint. May we keep our hearts and eyes fixed upon you and may we always pray our prayers in accordance to Your Will and thanking You in advance for answered prayer.  Amen

Today's Biblical Truth: "The strength of believers, who are nourished by God is compared to the strength of an eagle."

Have a God Filled and Spirit Led Day.  Go in Peace and Serve the Lord our God with Gladness. Love God More Today.  Pray for our Brothers and Sisters in Christ who are being persecuted for their Faith and Trust in Jesus Christ.  Pray for Youcef Nasdarkhani the Iranian pastor who has been sentenced to death for his refusal to denounce his Faith and Trust in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.  Pray for God's Peace on the city of Jerusalem and for His Blessings on the Nation of Israel.  Always remember that when you have a spiritual dilemma in your life and you yell out, "I CAN'T," GOD Whispers to you, "BUT I CAN."

"For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations." Psalm 100:5

God's Words of Wisdom for Tuesday 6 March 2012"

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 6 March 2012"

Today's Scripture Reading: Ephesians 1:13-14 "In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession to the praise of His Glory."

The sealing of the Holy Spirit guarantees the benefits of our salvation, as a person might seal an envelop to guarantee its closure.  The Holy Spirit is the seal.  The Holy Spirit as the seal of the believer is also a "down payment" of His commitment to someday give us all the other things God has promised.  Christians should be careful "to grieve" not the Holy Spirit of God, by whom we are sealed unto the day of redemption.

The guarantee of our inheritance of the Holy Spirit, is the Holy Spirit Himself.  As Christ is the bridegroom and the church is the bride, so the Holy Spirit is the down payment, the earnest money, is the long awaited marriage of the two.

The Old Testament describes the nation of Israel as God's special treasure, one He had purchased by His mighty acts of dellieverance during the Exodus.  Here in verse 14, Paul describes Christians as the Lord's own possession, bough with the blood of His own Son.  The Holy Spirit is our guarantee of Resurrection.

Today's Hymn: "Amazing Grace" (Verses 1 and 2)

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me!
I was once lost, but now I am found; Was blind but not I see
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved;
How preciious did that grace appear, the hour I first believed!

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how indeed is Amazing Grace, so sweet to the  sinners ears.  How we thank you, for Your love and grace, that was so great for us, that You send Your Son Jesus Christ, to die upon the Cross of Calvary, so that as we confessed our sins, You were faithful and just, to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  How thankful we are, that when the Book of Life is opened under the believers name, it will say, "Washed In The Blood Of The Lamb."  We as Christians may hope for many things, but there is one hope that we are believers have in common, and that is one day, receiving our new bodies and spending all of eternity with Jesus Christ, in whom we have true hope and true riches.   Amen

Today's Biblical Truth: "Christians are saved by Grace. The Grace of God is the source of salvation; faith is the channel, not the cause.  God alone saves."

God's Words of Wisdom for Saturday 3 March 2012

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus for 3 March 2012"

Today's Bible Verse: Mark 10:14-16 "But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not forbid them; for such is the kingdom of God.  Assuredly, I say to you, whosoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.  And He took them in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them."

"Wow" Since I am a child of God, I am looking forward to His taking me up in His arms, laying His hands upon me, gazing into His eyes, hearing Him talk and listening to His laughter, and then having Him say to me, "Well done My child and welcome to the kingdom that I have prepared for you."

When the disciples of Jesus "rebuked" parents who tried to bring their children to Jesus, He became "indignant."  Please note that the Pharisees had easy access to Jesus!  How foolish when we place out emphasis on the important people of this word and ignore the children who are much more important to the Lord.

Children exhibit sincerity, eagerness, a trusting attitude, and total dependence on their parents.  Thus childlikeness is a fitting comparison for the qualities a disciple should have.  Mark often stresses the strong feelings of Jesus as he did in today's Bible Verses.  "Suffer" in verse 14, means, "allow."  Every parent knows that no child is perfect.  But Jesus sees in their refreshing openness to new things, their eagerness to learn and follow, a welcome contrast to adult self-dependence and cynicism.

Today's Hymn: "Child Of The King"

My Father is rich in houses and lands, He holdeth the wealth of the world in His hands!
Of rubies and diamonds, of silver and gold, His coffers are full, He has riches untold
I'm a child of the King, a child of the King, with Jesus as my Savior
I'm a child of the King

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, may we come before You as children with sincerity, eagerness, a trusting attitude and total dependence on You for everything that we do as Christians in serving You our Loving, Caring, Gracious Abba Father.   Amen

Today's Biblical Truth: "Let Jesus be your example and be sensitive to the needs of others."
