God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Wednesday 28 December 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 28 December 2011"

Today's Bible Verse: Romans 8:22-25 "For we know that the whole of creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly awaiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. For we are saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees. But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly await for it with perseverance."

The Spirit's work with is present tense salvation: We are being saved from the power of sin and becoming righteous.  When Jesus returns we will be saved completely, liberated from the last vestiges of sin which cling so persistently to us.  One day creation itself will be renewed even as we are being renewed.  The Spirit helps us in our weakness, praying with us and for us.  When we are delivered from the bondage of corruption, there will be no more death.

Verse 22 refers to Adam's Fall, which caused misery from then until the present. The present suffering of creation are the "birth pangs" of the new age to be born, the Millennium.  From the fall of Adam until now, creation has been groaning over the pointlessness of having been made subject to a new curse.  Creation looks forward to the time when the curse will be lifted.

The first fruits of the Spirit refers to the first workings of the Holy Spirit, which is a pledge of more work to come, like the redemption of our bodies.  The Spirit and His work is God's assurance of the greater blessing to come.  The Spirit is a guarantee of out inheritance.  Hope is a constant expectation  of an unseen reality.  We are saved by faith, but our hope is in the return of Christ in all His glory and our complete deliverance from our sinful natures.  If we are expecting something unseen, we as Christians need to wait with perseverance; that is, we are willing to endure the present.

We as Christians and our longing for heaven is good, because it is an extension of our yearning for God. The hope of heaven is meant to strengthen and encourage us, filling is with wondrous Joy.  Many Christians have misunderstood this word "hope," believing that it denotes wishful thinking. Nothing can further from the truth.

As soon as Christ came into out lives, and He became our Savior, heaven became our ultimate destination (Praise God). The phrase "hope of heaven" highlights the benefits we as Christians can enjoy even while remaining on earth. This hope keeps us spiritually alive during dark times of adversity; it brightens our path and heightens our awareness of the Presence Of God.  God's desire is that He FILLS OUR CUPS to overflowing, with Hope and Power of the Holy Spirit.

Today's Hymn: "Everlasting God"

Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord, wait upon the Lord, We will wait upon the Lord
Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord, wait upon the Lord, We will wait upon the Lord
Our God You reign forever, our hope and strong defender,
You are the everlasting God, the everlasting God, You do not faint, You don't grow weary
Your the defender of the weak, You comfort those in need
You lift up on wings like eagles, You are the everlasting God, the everlasting God,
The everlasting God, The everlasting

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit,  we humbly come before You Abba Father asking as Your children to send us power from on High, so that it over flows in our daily life's.  We want Your kind of Hope, which leads us to everlasting life, where we will forever bask in Your Mercy, Love and Grace.  May we wait upon You Lord, as our defender and comforter.  Lift us up on wings like eagles.  Thank You Father for being our Everlasting, Almighty, All Powerful, Loving, Caring, and Gracious God.                               Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Tuesday 27 December 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 27 December 2011"

Today's Bible Verse: Isaiah 40:28-31 "Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is He weary. His understanding is unsearchable.  He gives power to the weak, and to those that have no might, He increases strength.  Even the youth shall faint and be weary, and the youth shall utterly fall, but those that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."

"Wow" What a message about the strength that God gives to us His Children.  God is not only everlasting, He is also the Creator of the heaven and to the ends of the earth.  Since God never faints, nor grows weary, He CAN and WILL meet ALL our NEEDS.  He will NEVER EVER let us DOWN.  Isaiah refers to Creation to illustrate God's Greatness.  God MADE ALL THINGS, SUSTAINS ALL THINGS, and RULES ALL THINGS.

God alone could fabricate material universe and establish nature's processes, could shape male and female in His own image and so launch the human race, can transform sinful men's and women's characters by creating in us a new heart, could launch history on its course and guide it's progress, and God alone will be able to renew this universe, purging it of all evil by initiating a new heaven and a new earth at history's end.

This is the creator to whom the prophet Isaiah presents and to whom we should give our praise. God alone is able to give existence to the world and a new life to you and me. "Power", "Strength", and "Might" are words that are interchangeable in the Old Testament and and they emphasize a personal relationship with Him.  His strength flows into us, and enables us the Believer, to Sing Praises to His Holy Name.

Our human strength shall never compare to the Power and Strength of our Almighty God.  WE are TO WAIT with complete CONFIDENCE, EXPECTATION and HOPE in the Lord.  The transforming power of the Holy Spirit BRINGS POWER to the Believer.

The "wings of eagles" in verse 31, gives us the picture of the strength that comes from the Lord. The eagle is God who gives strength to that that put their faith and trust in Him.  Comfort???  Comfort indeed!!!  Pray without ceasing.  Lay your petitions in the throne room of Grace.  Always remember that God is LOVING, CARING, GRACIOUS and that He is our ALL ALMIGHTY and ALL POWERFUL GOD.  Even though we don't understand why He allows things to happen the way they do in our lives, we are to ALWAYS Pray, and ask in ACCORDANCE with His Will and His TIMETABLE.

Today's Hymn: "Amazing Grace" (Chris Tomlin)

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost,
But now I am found, was blind but now I see
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear, the second I first believed
My chains are gone, I've been set free, my God, my Savior has ransomed me,
And like a flood His mercy reigns, Unending Love, Amazing Grace.
The Lord has promised good to me, His word my hope secures
And He my shield and portion be, As long as life endures
The whole earth soon dissolves like snow, the sun forbear to shine,
But God who called me here below, Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine, You are forever mine.

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how comforting it is to know that we as believers serve a risen Savior.  How we look forward to the promise of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in that He would be with us till the end of the world.  How we look forward to His Second Coming where we will spend all eternity with Him.  May we as Christians bear fruit for Thee Abba Father as we proclaim the Good News of the Free Gift of Salvation that comes through a Faith and Trust in Your Son Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.      Amen

Today's Biblical Truth: "A Christians belief is not built on speculation or myth, but on the sovereign Acts and Words of God."

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Friday 22 December 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 22 December 2011"

Today's Bible Verse: Acts 1:9-11 "Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Hi out of their sight.  And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white appeal, and also said, "Men of Galilee, why do stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into in heaven."

While they beheld suggests several things that are not apparent.  Unlike the appearances and disappearances of the former 40 days in which Jesus appeared and vanished, this was a gradual and visible departure.  This was different and final.  He would no longer appear to them.  His next appearance on earth will be at the Second Coming when He visibly and bodily sets His feet on Mount Olivet.

A witness is a person who "gives evidence," basing his or her testimony concerning actual events on direct personal knowledge.  The apostles gave this kind of evidence concerning the life of Christ and His resurrection.  You and I can give this kind of evidence concerning God's work in our lives.

Jesus promised that He would never leave nor forsake us, but would be with always, even to the end of the world.  He fulfilled this promise in the form of the Holy Spirit, who dwells within each Believer.  "Taken up", "cloud received Him", He went up", these three statements portrayed the gradual majestic departure of Jesus from the earth.  The Second Coming of Christ and the establistment of His kingdom, will occur the same way Jesus ascended: physical, visibly, in the clouds, and at WHOLE WORLD will see Him

After His resurrection, Christ ascended physically to heaven to resume His glory and enthronement.  He also began His high priestly ministry in heaven for believers which continues until this day.  It is doubtful that the disciples who watched His physical ascension completely understood all that it signified at first.  When we as Christians understand the ascension of Christ, he or she looks forward to His imminent return and appropriates His present ministry as well.

Today's Christmas Hymn: "The Little Drummer Boy"

Come they told me, a new born king to see.  Our finest gifts bring, to lay before the king, so to honor Him when we come
Pa rum pum pum
Little baby, I am a poor boy too.  I have no gift to bring, that's fit to give our King. Shall I play for you, on my drum?
Pa rum pum pum
Mary nodded, the ox and lamb kept time. I played my drum for Him, I played my best for Him, then He smiled at me and my drum
Pa rum pum pum pum
Rum pum pum pum
Rum pum pum pum

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit how comforting it is to know that we as Believers serve a risen Savior.  How we look forward to the promise of our Lord and Savior in He told us us that He would be with us to the end of the world.  How we look forward to His Second Coming where we will spend all eternity with Him.  May be as Christians bear fruit for You Abba Father in proclaiming the Good News of the free gift of salvation that comes through a Faith and Trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Monday 19 December 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 19 December 2011"

Today's Bible Verses will be Various Scripture Reading on the Prophecy of the Old Testament Predictions of the Birth of Christ and the new Testament fulfillment of that birth.

Jesus fulfilled hundreds of old Testament prophecies.  Many of these prophecies involved the circumstances surrounding His birth.  Listed below is a list of several such prophecies.  Note the irrefutable similarities between the Old Testament predictions and their New Testament fulfillment.
                                                               OLD TESTAMENT               NEW TESTAMENT
PROPHECY                                             PREDATION                          FULFILLMENT

The Messiah would be the seed of      Genesis 3:15                              Galatians 4:4

The Messiah would be a descendant  Genesis 12:3                              Matthew 1:1
of Abraham
The Messiah would be a descendant     Genesis 17:19                           Luke 3:34

The Messiah would be a descendant    Numbers 24:17                        Matthew 1:2; 2:2

The Messiah would be anointed and    Psalm 45:6-7; 102:25-27         Hebrew 1:8-12

slaughter of children
The Messiah would also come from      Hosea 11:1                              Matthew 2:14-15

These Old Testament prophecies were most many hundreds of years before the Actual Birth of our Precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  The word of people changes BUT the Word of God will never change.  Jesus tells us in Matthew 24:25 "Heaven and earth will pass away, by My words will by NO MEANS pass away."  Everything on this earth and in this universe is being done in accordance with God's Plan and His timetable.

Today's Christmas Hymn: It Came Upon The Midnight Clear"

It came upon the midnight clear, that glorious song of old, From angels bending near the earth
With news of joy foretold, "Peace on earth, good will to men, from Heaven's all glorious King."
The world in solemn stillness lay, to hear the angels sing

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, How we as Christians love this time of year because we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Kings of kings, and Lord of lords.  How we rejoice for Your love Father that You loved us so much that You send Your ONLY Son to this world to begin the redemption process that would bring us back to full grace with You through the shed blood of Your spotless Lamb and His conquering Death. Sin and the Grave, defeating Satan for evermore thus breaking the chains of sin that had bound us up.  May we worship and glorify You in all that we say and do.
                                                                                                                             Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for 15 December 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for  15 December 2011"

Today's Bible Verse is for all those who are going through financial issues, health issues with yourself, family or friends, job issues or spiritual issues.  May God's Blessings be with you and may He uplift you in accordance with His Will.

Today's Bible Verse: Isaiah 40:28-31 "Have you not known> Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is He weary.  His understanding is unsearchable.  He gives power to the weak, and to those that have no might, He inceases strength.  Even the youth shall faint and not be weary, and the young shall utterly fall, but those that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."

"Wow" What a message about the strength that God gives to us His children.  God is not only everlasting, He is also Creator of the heavens and to all the ends of the earth. Since God neither faints, nor grows weary, He CAN and WILL meet ALL our NEEDS.  He will NEVER EVER let us DOWN.   Isaiah refers to creation to illustrate God's Greatness.  God made ALL THINGS, SUSTAINS ALL THINGS,  RULES ALL THINGS.

He alone could fabricate material universe and establish nature's processes, could shape male and female in His image and so launch the human race, can transform sinful man's character by creating in us a new heart, could launch history on its course and guide its progress, and God alone will be able to renew this universe, purging it of all evil by initiating a new heaven and a new earth at history's end.

This is the Creator to whom the Prophet Isaiah presents and to whom we give our praise.  God alone is able to give existence to the world and new life to you and me.  Power, strength, might are words that use interchangeably in the Old Testament and they emphasize a personal relationship with Him.  His strength flows into and enable you and me.

Our human strength never compare to the power of our Almighty God.  We are to wait with complete confidence, expectations, and hope in the Lord.  The transforming power of the Holy Spirit brings power to the Believer.

The eagle in verse 31 gives us the picture of the strength that comes from the Lord.  The eagle is God who gives strength to those that have put there FAITH and TRUST in Him.  Comfort? Comfort INDEED!!!  Pray without ceasing.  Lay your petitions in the throne room of GRACE.  Always remember that God is LOVING, CARING, GRACIOUS and that He is our ALMIGHTY GOD.  Even though we don't understand why He allows things to happen the way they do in our life's, ALWAYS PRAY and ask in ACCORDANCE with His WILL and His TIMETABLE.

Today's Christmas Hymn: "O Little Town Of Bethlehem"

O Little town of Bethlehem, how still we see Thy lie
Above Thy deep and dreamless sleep, the silent stars go by
Yet in Thy dark streets shineth, the everlasting light
The hopes and fears of all the years, are met in Thee tonight

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how we praise You as our Everlasting God.  Thank you for the strength and hope that You give to those that have put their Faith and Trust in You.  Help us Lord, as we serve you, to run and not be weary, to walk and not faint.  May we keep our hearts and eyes fixed upon You and may we always pray our prayers in accordance to Your Will.
                                                                                                                Amen
Today's Biblical Truth: "The strength of believers, who are nourished by God, is compared to the strength of an eagle."

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Tuesday 13 December 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 13 December 2011"

Today's Bible Verse: Psalm 89:15 "Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound!  They walk, O LORD, in the light of Your countenance."

Psalm 89 begins with praise and ends as a psalm of lament.  It celebrates God's covenant with David, and then laments how David's descendants had not remained faithful to the provisions of the covenant.  Yet even in the face of unfaithfulness, this psalm reaffirms god's faithfulness to his covenant and it's ultimate fulfillment in David's greater Son, the Messiah.  This psalm has; Praise to the Lord, a celebration of God who established His covenant with David, a review of the covenant with David, a consternation at a time of national distress, a complaint to the Lord to provoke him to remember His covenant and restore the fortunes of His people.

As Christians and Believers, there is a better way.  Whenever we face a problem and it starts to overshadow our thoughts, we need to humbly approach the throne room of grace through Jesus Christ and bring the matter to Him.  God loves when we talk with Him about our problems and desires, and to have us look at it in the Light of His Strong and Loving Presence.

When we approach God, we receive some much needed space between us and our worries and concerns, enabling us to see from God's Loving perspective.  You will be surprised at the results that this will bring. and it will strengthen your confidence, and your Faith and trust in the Lord.

Sometimes we may even laugh at ourselves for being so serious about something so insignificant. Jesus told us that in this our present life we will face trails and tribulations and that He would help us handle whatever we may encounter if we but ask Him.  We need to ALWAYS REMEMBER that Jesus will NEVER FORSAKE nor LEAVE US.  What a victory it is to know that Jesus is the same, YESTERDAY, TODAY, and FOREVER.  Praise God from Whom ALL BLESSINGS FLOW.

Today's Christmas Hymn: "Angels We Have Heard On High"

Angels we have heard on high, sweetly singing over the plains, and the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains, Gloria in excelsis deo, Gloria in excelsis deo
Shepherds why this jubilee? Why your joyous strains prolong? What the gladsome tithings be?
What inspired your heavenly song? Gloria in excelsis deo, Gloria in excelsis deo
Come to Bethlehem and see, Him whose birth the angels sing, Come and adore on bended knee
Christ, the Lord, the new born King, Glorai in excelsis deo, Gloria in excelsis deo
See Him in manger laid, Jesus, Lord of heaven and earth! Mary, Joseph, lend your aid
With us sing our Savior's birth, Gloria in excelsis deo, Gloria in excelsis deo

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how thankful we are, that we as your children, can bring all our burdens and cares to you no matter how small or big that they might be.  Thank you for listening to us as we come to your in prayer and supplication.  May You give us the rest that we need, so that we might be able to focus on You that we might bring the Good News of salvation to those around us.  May we experience daily victory in and through You.
                                                                                                                                              Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for 8 December 2011

"Greeting in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 8 December 2011"

Today's Bible Verse: Psalm 29:1-2 "Give unto the Lord, O you mighty ones, Give unto the Lord glory and strength.  Give unto the Lord the glory due His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness."

A thunderstorm is viewed in this psalm, not as a phenomenon of impersonal nature, but as an act of divine intervention arousing David's praise and sparkling the realization that it's the Lord who is enthroned in nature.  So great is our God to Bless David then as well as as he does to us even today.

We as believers are to worship God in the beauty of holiness.  All true beauty reflects the power of the "GREAT I AM." God is continually working His way in us.  God is the divine artist creating loveliness within each of us.

The Holy Spirit work is to clear out the debris and clutter and make room for Him to take full possession.  We as believers need work with God in this effort, by being willing to "let go of anything" God chooses to take away.  Our Abba Father knows what we need, and he has promised to provide all of that "abundantly."  Our sense of security must not rest in our materialist possessions or "in things going our way."

The Holy Spirit is training us to depend on God alone, and always finding fulfillment in His Presence.  This my Brothers and Sisters in Christ means, being satisfied with much or little, accepting either, as God's Will for the moment.  Instead of grasping and controlling, we need to learn to release and receive, and to cultivate our spiritual ground by trusting our Abba Father in every situation.

Today's Christmas Song: "O Come, All Ye Faithful"

O come, all ye faithful, Joyful and triumphant, O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem
Come and behold Him, born the King of angels, O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him, O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how thankful we are Father that You loved us so much that because You didn't want any to perish sent Your Son Jesus to this His Creation and to be born of the Virgin Mary and then to walk among us and feel what we feel and be tempted as we are tempted let without sin.  Thank you for the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit Jesus, that you send to us the second that we accept You into our lives.  May we a Christians reach out to this dying and sinful world and spread the Good News of God's Free Gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ.
                                                                                                                                   Amen
Today's Biblical Truth: "All the angels in the heavenly sanctuary acknowledge the surpassing glory of the omnipotent God."

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Tuesday 6 December 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 6 December 2011"

Today's Bible Verse: Psalm 31:20 "You shall hide them in the secret place of Your Presence, from the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion, From the strife of tongues."

In Psalm 31, David, appeals to god, who is and has been his refuge.  He feels his danger intensely, but continues to trust in God.  Having experienced God's goodness, David exhorts "all his saints" to love and trust God.

We as Christians need to let God's Presence override everything we experience.  Like a luminous light we need to be a beacon to the lost and let the Holy Spirit hover over us and in us, in everything that we say and do. The Holy Spirit is training us to stay conscious of god in each situation that we may encounter.

When the patriarch Jacob, ran away from his enraged brothers, he went to sleep on a stone pillow in a land that seemed desolate.  But after dreaming about heaven and angels, and the promises that were made to himself, his father and His forefather, he awoke and exclaimed, "Surely the Lord is in this place" (Genesis 28:16).

Whenever you feel distant away from God, we as Christian need to say, "Surely the Lord is in this place!"  Then pray and ask our Abba Father to give you awareness of His Presence, for this is a prayer that God delights to answer.

Today's Christmas Hymn "The First Noel"

The first Noel the angel did say, was to certain poor shepherds
In fields where they lay keeping their sleep
On a cold winter's night, that was so deep
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel, Born is the King of Israel

Heaven Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how wonderful is as as Christians that when we excepted Jesus Christ in our lives He send His Holy Spirit into our life's and in whom we have the light that shines within us.  May we in our daily lives learn to give you our all in serving You.  May we always feel Your Loving and Warm Presence and know that "You are in this place."
                                                                                                                             Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Friday 2 December 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 2 December 2011"

Today's Bible Verse: Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."

Wow!!!  What a verse for us in this world that we live in today.  This writing is for all of you who are going through physical and mental pain, financial woes or feeling alone as if God had abandoned you.  Our enemy who "walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), wants you to feel that way.  Always remembers these words from  Hebrews 13:5 "Let our conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have.  For He Himself has said, "I will never leave nor forsake you."

This verse emphasizes God's commitment to strengthen and help us, His children.  We as Christians need to learn to appreciate difficult days.  We need to be stimulated by the challenges we encounter along life's pathway.  As we journey through rough terrain with God, we will gain confidence from our knowledge of God, and that together with Him, we can handle anything that this sinful world may throw at us.

This knowledge is comprised of three parts: (1) Our relationship with God (2) His promises made in His word and (3) Our past experiences in coping successfully during hard times.  We need to always remember God is always there with us through difficult days and He will give us the strength to withstand and trials or tribulations we may face.  We need but just ask and he is faithful and Just to provide for us what we need.

We need to have faith that Peter had to step out on the walk and start to walk to Jesus, but we need to keep that faith and our eyes upon Jesus so that we do not look around us and start to sink in the troubled waters of life, because of our lack of faith.  Isn't it great to know that even when we start to sink, we can like Peter call out to Jesus to save us and that he will take our hand in His and pull out up and direct our path. (Wow)

If you are tempted to think, "Yes, but that was then and this is now," Remember that God is "The GREAT I AM".  Although our circumstances may change dramatically, God will always remain the same throughout time and eternity.  This is the basis of our confidence.  In God's Presence we live, move and have our being.

What a wonder to realize that the awesome power that God has displayed throughout history is still available to us today.  We know that it is because God our Creator has said, "I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you."  God has a plan and purpose to carry out, and history unfolds according to his grand, eternal design.  How great is our God.  May we daily Praise God from Whom all Blessings Flow.

Today's Hymn" Joy To The World"

Joy to the world, The Lord is come! Let earth receive her King; Let every heart prepare Him room
And heaven and nature sing, And heaven and nature sing, And heaven and nature sing
Joy to the World, the Savior reigns! Let all their songs employ; while fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat the sounding Joy
No more let sin and sorrows grow, nor thorns infest the ground; He come to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found, Far as the curse is found, Far as the curse is found
He rules the world with truth and grace, and makes the nations prove, the glories of His righteousness
And the wonders of His love, And the wonders of His love, And the wonders of his love

Heavenly father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, thank you for the strength that You give us each day to walk in accordance to Your ways. May we raise our hands to You in praise and thanksgiving and humbly bow before You in Awe as we come into Your Loving and Gracious Presence.  What a relief it is to know that You, our Abba Father, will never leave nor forsake us, and that You are All Powerful and that nothing is impossible with You.  Thank you Jesus, for being the Resurrection and the Life, and filling us with the Life Giving Water of the Holy Spirit.  May the things that we say and do, always being great glory and honor to Your Name, as we reach out to others for You.

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Thursday 1 December 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 1 December 2011"

Today's Bible Verse: Ephesians 6:12: "For we don't wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places."

Our real battle as Christians and believers in Jesus Christ is not with human cultist, false religions, atheists, agnostics and pseudo-Christians, but with the demonic beings working through them, of which even the flesh and blood opponents are sometimes themselves are unaware.

Several activities in the Bible may involve demons.  Sometimes they cause physical disease or mental suffering.  However, not all mental disorders are demonic on origin.  Demons also tempt people into immoral practices.  They originate and propagate false doctrines taught by heretical religious groups   (1 Timothy 4:1).  The Bible also teaches that some people were possessed by demons (Mark 1;23).

Although demons are committed to doing evil, God will use them to accomplish His plan during the end of the age  (Revelation 16:14).  Demons are also objects of worship in various occult practices forbidden by God.  These include divination (an illegitimate means of determining the will of God), necromancy (efforts to communicate with and interrogate the dead), witchcraft and astrology (Deuteronomy 18:10-12).  No Christian can ever justify his or her participation in demonic activities.

Today's Hymn: "Hark! The Heard Angels Sing"

Hark! The Heard angels sing, "Glory to the new born King, peace on earth, and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled!"
Joyful, all ye sinners rise, join the triumph of the skies; with the angelic host proclaim,
"Christ is born in Bethlehem!"
Hark! The herald angels sing, "Glory to the new born King!"

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, grant us the strength and guidance Holy Spirit as we battle against the spiritual wickedness of the fallen angels and Satan himself.  May we put of the whole Armour of God that we might repel any attack against us, our Brothers and Sisters in Christ and the Church.  may we realize that as we put on the Armour that without prayer we will be inadequate to achieve victory.  May daily prayer in our lives be "indispensable.
                                                                                                                                                 Amen
Today's Biblical Truth: "We are to pray not only for ourselves but also for all Christians and Believers for spiritual combat is both and individual and corporate matter."

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for 29 November 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 29 November 2011'

Today's Bible Verse: Psalm 15:1 "Lord who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill?

Psalm 15 is titled, "The Character of Those Who May Dwell with the Lord."  It is a wisdom psalm but its principle focus is on the proper approach to the worship of God.  Although all of the psalms were used in the worship of God, this poem is a worship poem because of it's special focus on this subject.

The Psalm asks the question, Who is righteousness enough to approach God?  Certainly no one is except Jesus, the Messiah.  But there have always been those who stand before God as forgiven sinners, whose righteousness comes as a gift from God.  We who are in Christ, learn to come boldly into the Presence of the Father, because we come on the authority of His Son (Hebrews 4:16).

Jesus makes us feel at home in the Presence of the Father.  David who wrote this psalm, has it written in a question-and-answer format.  (1) The question of who may approach the Holy God (verse 1); (2) the response (verses 2-4); and (3) The Blessing (verse 5). The promise of God for the righteous is for this life and the life to come.  The Lord is righteous persons sure foundation.

Instead of a Hymn Today I am including a poem that I have written.  Hope that it blesses you.

                                                          "God Loves You"
God Loves You and he will Never Ever Forsake nor Leave You
He is always by your side, with His Loving Arms opened wide
Wanting to Hold you next to Him with His Strong and Caring Arms

He is there with you when you Smile, and He Feels your every Tear
He is, and always Will be your Best and Faithful Friend
If you but Call on Him, He Will Come, like He Promises in His Word

Open your Arms and Run to His Nailed Scared Hands and Opened Arms
As He Speaks to your Heart and Mind, Shout Out, "Here I am Lord,
I am Thine," and then Bask in His Love, Mercy and Marvelous Grace

Jesus is Calling you to Come Find that Inner Peace Through Him
Seek Him and you Will Find Him, Knock and the Door Will be Opened
Ask, and your Abba Father will shower you with His Love and Grace

For Jesus Is the Same Yesterday, Today, and Forever
He Never Changes His Mind nor His Promises, for He Always Will Be
Your Caring, Loving, and Gracious Heavenly Father, and Almighty God

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, help us in our daily lives to seek You, and to always listen for your soft and tender voice as the Holy Spirit guides us through each day of our lives on this our temporary home here on this, Your Earth.  May we always, and forever more, give you all the Praise and Glory for which You so Richly Deserve.

Gods Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Monday 28 November 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus  Christ for 28 November 2011"

Today's Bible Verse: Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Today's Hymn: "God Of Wonders"

Lord of creation, of water, earth and sky, The heavens are Your tabernacle
Glory to the Lord on high
God of wonders beyond our galaxy, You are Holy, Holy, The universe declares Your Majesty
And You Holy, Holy, Holy
Lord of heaven and earth, Lord of heaven and earth
early in the morning, I will celebrate the light, When I stumble in darkness
I will call Your name by night
Hallelujah to the Lord of Heaven and Earth
Your wonderful Lord, so wonderful Lord, So wonderful Lord
The universe declares Your majesty, And You are Holy, Holy, Holy

Gods Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Friday 25 November 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 25 November 2011"

Today's Bible Verse:  Luke 13:3 "I tell you, no; but unless you repeat you will all likewise perish."

Repentance was the common theme in the preaching of the prophets in the Old Testament. In the New Testament John the Baptist (Matthew 3:8), Jesus (Mark 1:15) and the apostles (Acts 2:38), all spoke of the need to repent.

Repentance is necessary for salvation, but repentance alone does not save.  It means to change one's mind about sin in such a way as to result in a change of action.  In this sense, it is similar to conversion, which involves both repentance and faith.

Repentance begins with a change of thought concerning sin, often resulting in a sense of godly sorrow.  In coming to Christ for salvation there is also a change in will.  Repentance is produced in the our life's by means of the Word of God, the chastisement of the Lord, belief of the truth, and a new vision of God.  Jesus taught that repentance could not be produced by miracles (Matthew 11:20-21), not even by someone rising from the dead (Luke 16:30-31).

In the Old Testament, Manasseh was carried into captivity before he acknowledged his sin and repented.  On His trip through Jericho, Jesus encountered a man named Zaccheus. This man repented, although he had lived an evil live for many years.  Both of these men found salvation, yet others whose lives have been less evil, remain unsaved because they will not repent.

Whenever God speaks to a Christian about a certain sin in there life, we should immediately fall down on our knees and repent and depend on God to give us the victory.  Like Job's friends, people assume that since God is just, suffering proved that a person is guilty of a sin.  Jesus rejects this view. Jesus points out in today's verse, that everyone stands at the edge of death until repentance occurs.  We all are sinners.  Unless we repent, we are in peril of eternal judgment, not just physical death.

Today's Hymn: "Grace Greater Than Our Sin"

Marvelous grace of our loving Lord, Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt
Yonder on Calvary's mount  out poured, There where the blood of the lamb was spilled
Sin and despair, like the sea waves cold, Threaten the soul with infinite loss
Grace that is greater, yes, grace untold, Points to the refuge, the mighty Cross
Dark is the stain that we cannot hide, what can avail to wash it away?
Look! There is flowing a crimson tide, Brighter than snow you may be today
Marvelous, infinite, matchless grace, Freely bestowed on all who believe!
You that are longing to see His face, Will you this moment His grace receive?
Grace, Grace, God's Grace, Grace that will pardon and cleanse within
Grace, Grace, God's Grace, Grace that is greater than all our sin

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, help us in our daily lives to seek You, and to listen for your soft, tender, sweet loving voice as you guide us through each day of our temporary home here on Your earth.  How thankful we are, that when we came to you Jesus, with true repentance asking you to forgive us of our sins, that You were faithful and just to forgive us of our sins, and cleanse us of all our unrighteousness ,and then instill within us the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.  May we today. and forevermore, give You all the Praise and Glory, for which You so richly deserve.
                                                                                                                                    Amen

God's words of Wisdom from the Bible for Wednesday 23 November 2011

Today's Bible Verse: Psalm 63:3-4 "Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You."

David in Psalm 63 cries out his deep longing to experience God's presence.  He realizes that his soul finds just that, satisfaction through praise.  With the fresh touch of praise to God, David as well as us today can have a renewed confidence in the Lord and experience a unique joy.

David in our verses today, expresses his joy in knowing God and it reveals his determination to continue praising God throughout his life.  Lovingkindness may also be translated "Royal Love".  Praise is a vocal, public act in the Psalms.  As we lift our hands to the Lord we as Christians express our dependence on Him, coupled with an acknowledgment of His power, wonder and majesty.  In coming to the Lord in praise, we find the refreshment of our souls that we seek.

We as Christians every day need to ask God for spiritual renewal, express our thankfulness, and place all our faith and trust in Jesus knowing that He never breaks His promises and that He has told us that He would never leave nor forsake us and that He would be with  us to the end of the world.   What a promise to lean on.

Today's Hymn: "The Wonderful Cross"

When I survey the wondrous Cross, on which the Prince of Glory died
My richest gain I count but loss, and pour contempt on all my pride
See from His head, his hands, his feet, sorrow and love mingled down
Did ever love and sorrow meet, or thrones compose so rich a crown
Were the whole realm of nature mine, that were an offering far to small
Love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life my all
O the wonderful Cross, O the wonderful Cross
Bids me come and die ,and find that I might truly live
O the Wonderful Cross, O the wonderful Cross
All who gather here by grace draw near, and bless Your Name

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, what a blessing it is to have You within our hearts and to be showered with Your love and grace.  May we as Christians, Abba Father, mediate daily on Your Words written in Scriptures that we might know what You want us to do with our lives and to fill our minds with the knowledge of God.  May we hide Your Words in our hearts that we as your children might not sin against Thee.

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Monday 21 November 2011"

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 21 November 2011"

Today's Bible Verse: Jeremiah 36:27-28 "Now after the king had burned the scroll with the words which Baruch had written at the instruction of Jeremiah, the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying, :"take yet another scroll, and write on it all the former words that were in the first scroll which Jehoiakim the king of Judah had burned."

Here we see that king Jehoiakim as he listens to the words of the first scroll shows his utter contempt for God's Word by burning up the scroll.  Rather than repent, the king orders the arrest of Jeremiah and Baruch.  The Lord tells Jeremiah and write yet another scroll.

In verses 29-31 indictment and judgement against Jehoiakim is pronounced.  The indictment was declared because he destroyed the scroll of the word of God.  First the Davidic lineage would not continue through him.  His son would rule only three months before King Nebuchadnezzar deported Jehoiachin to Babylon, where he died.  Second the king's body would be treated disgracefully after his death.  As the king has cast the scroll into the fire, so his body would be cast from the royal palace.  Third the royal household would experience the destructive judgement that had been pronounced in the words of the original scroll.

These verses show us that God, who inspired the Scripture, has throughout the years protected His Word from the attacks of evil men so as to preserve its content and existence.  While the original manuscripts have long since disappeared, ancient copies and quotations from early church leaders demonstrate  the preservation of Scripture.  If there were no manuscripts, a complete copy of the Scriptures could be reproduced simply from the many quotations found in the writings of the early church fathers.

God's preservation of Scriptures was demonstrated in the ministry of Jeremiah.  As we read earlier the king destroyed the first scroll of his prophecy, but God had it reproduced to ensure its preservation.  As we read the Scriptures, the fact that God has preserved then for us over the years should emphasize their importance.  Matthew 24:35 says, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words will by no means pass away.  We as Christians need to do what is right and let God judge those who do wrong.

Today's Hymn: "I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever"

Over the mountains and the sea, Your river runs with love for me
And I will open up my heart and let the healer set me free
I'm happy to be in the truth, and I will daily lift my hands
For I will always sing when Your love comes down
I could sing of Your love forever, I could sing of Your love forever
I could sing of Your love forever, I could sing of Your love forever

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how we are thankful Father for the preservation of Your Holy Word, that been preserved and written in so many languages, so that all people may come to the saving grace of Jesus Christ.  How thankful we are Father, that your love for us far outweighs Your anger.  How we thank you that You are a Loving and gracious God, and that You love us, Your children.  Thank you Abba Father, for wrapping us in Your strong and loving arms.  May You be the Potter, and may we be the clay, and mold us after Your way.  May we each day, come humbly come before you, thanking you for all the blessings that You provide for us Your children.
                                                                                                                 Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Saturday 9 April 2011

"Greeting Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: 1 Corinthians 12:4-7: "There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.  There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.  And there are diversities of activities, but it the same God who works all in all."

These verses contain key teachings on spiritual gifts.

(1) There are different kinds
(2) Each comes from the Holy Spirit
(3) No gift indicates a person has "more of" the Spirit than another, for "the same God works all
     of them in men
(4) Each person has a spiritual gift
(5) These are distributed sovereignty by the Spirit
(6) They function within the church for the "common good" of the body.

Though people are gifted differently by God, God and His works are unified.

Today's Hymn: "Stand By Me"

When the storms of the life are raging, Stand by me (stand by me)
Stand by me, (stand by me)
When the storms of life are raging, Stand by me (stand by me)
When the world is tossing me, like a ship upon the sea
Thou Who rulest wind and water.
Stand by me (stand by me)

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Friday 18 November 2011"

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 18 November 2011"

Today's Bible Verse: Exodus 3:5 "Then He said, "Do not draw near this place.  Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground."

We see here in this verse that God appears to Moses in a burning bush, to announce to the new reluctant hero, that he is to go to Pharaoh "To bring My people out of Egypt."  The flame of fire was an extraordinary sight, particularly since the bush was not consumed. God tells Moses to take of His shoes for the ground where Moses was standing was Holy ground and set apart by His divine presence.  Moses then hide his face, because he was afraid to look upon God.

We as Christians need to listen to God even while we are listening to other people.  We need the help of the Holy Spirit to respond appropriately.  Ask the Holy Spirit to think through you, live through you, and love through you.

God's own Presence is alive within us in the Person of the Holy Spirit.  If we respond to others needs through our own unaided thought processes, we offer them dry crumbs.  When the Holy Spirit empowers our listening and speaking, the river of living water flows through us to other people around us.

Today's Hymn: "Pass Me Not O Gentle Savior"

Pass me not O gentle Savior, Hear my Humble cry
While on others thou are calling, Do not pass me by
Let me at Thy throne of mercy, Find a sweet relief
Kneeling there in deep contrition, Help my unbelief
Trusting only in Thy merit, Would I seek Thy face
Heal my wounded broken spirit, Save my by Thy grace
Thou the spring of all my comfort, More than life to me
Whom have I on earth beside Thee? Whom in Heaven but Thee?
Savior, Savior, Hear my humble cry
While on others Thou art calling, Do not pass me by

Heavenly Father, Lord Christ, Holy Spirit how thankful we are that we serve a Living, Loving, Faithful, Merciful and Gracious God.  Thank you Holy Spirit for Your indwelling power that leads us and guides us in our walk with Jesus.  Help us everyday, in everything that we say and do, to be more like Jesus as we walk in His footprints in our walk with Him.
                                                                                                                                              Amen
Today's Bible Truth: "As the humble, submissive Son, Jesus submitted Himself to the authority of His Father."
