God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 29 December 2013, from Cindi, a daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Verse: Various Scripture Reading

"SEVEN REASONS WHY PRAYERS ARE NOT ANSWERED" Part 2

(5) FAILURE TO FORGIVE OTHERS
Mark 11:25 "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive them, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses."
FAITH, PRAYER, and FORGIVENESS are ALL linked, for only a FIRM conviction that God can remove ALL obstacles, that moves us to pray, while a spirit of FORGIVENESS, ACCEPTED, and EXTENDED to others, assures us of our welcome before God's Throne Room of Grace.  FAITH works miracles, not because it gives us confidence in ourselves, but because it moves us as Christians to TRUST ALL to God.

(6) IT IS NOT GOD'S WILL
Mark 22:42 ".....saying, Father, if is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours be done."
Jesus agonized over His approaching death and the effect of God's wrath.  In verse 43, God's answer to His Son's prayer did not allow Him to avoid suffering.  However, God did provide angelic help for Jesus to face what was coming.  Sometime God answers Prayers by eliminating trials; sometimes He answers by strengthening us in the midst of them.

(7) SELF-EXALTATION
Luke 18:9-14 "And He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that were righteous, and despised others: 'Two men went up to the temple to pray, one was a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.  The Pharisee stood and prayed thus to himself, 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even tax collectors.  I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I posses.'  And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not as much lift his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God be merciful to me a sinner!'  I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."
The tone of the prayer reveals the Pharisee's problem.  He used the pronoun, "I" fives times in two verses.  The Pharisee's attitude seems to be that God would be grateful to him for his commitment.  He obviously looked down on other people and was proud of his fasting and tithing.  In verse 13, is a humble spirit that Jesus wants us to have.  The tax collector knew that he could not say or bring anything to enhance his standing with God.  He know that only God's MERCY and GRACE, and NOT his own works could deliver him.  Jesus in this parable showed us the contrast between  the Pharisee and the tax collector as one between PRIDE and HUMILITY, between those who EXALT and those who HUMBLE themselves.   God will bring down the PROUD, and will exalt the HUMBLE.

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 28 December 2013, from Cindi, a daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Verses: Various Scripture Readings

Today is Part 1 of "Seven Biblical Reasons Why Prayer May Not Be Answered."

(1) UNBELIEF OR DOUBTING GOD
James 1:6 "But let him ask in faith, with no doubting. for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind."
"Doubting" means "to be divided in ones mind" or "to debate."  The term does not
describe momentary doubt, but a divided allegiance or willingness.  Doubt here in this verse is "diakrino," which when used in the sense of "doubt" is uncertainty about something set forward as an object of faith.  In James 1, we ask God what to do, and He shows us.  But when we hold back, we then are uncertain whether or not we want to obey.  James tells us that if we are going to hold back, "don't bother asking." (Wow)  When God show you His WAY, He EXPECTS you to take it.
Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God, must believe that He is, a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."
The word "come" is used repeatedly in the Book of Hebrews and refers to the privilege of drawing near to God.  In this verse, we are told that Faith is mandatory for those who approach Him, and that God rewards those who not only seek Him, but those who do good works through the power of the Holy Spirit.  Stripped down to it's basics, FAITH is confidence that God exists, and the CONVICTION that He "rewards those who diligently seek Him."  Only those who KNOW God, not only as a POWER, but also as a PERSON who LOVES, will DARE TRULY to SEEK Him.

(2) ASKING FOR THE WRONG REASONS
James 4:3 "You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you might spend it on your pleasure."
James in this verse says, "because you ask amiss" is telling us that our prayers are not answered because we are praying for the wrong things and for the wrong reasons.  We as Christians should ALWAYS be "praying in accordance to God's Will."  Often the reason that god does not supply our desires is simply that He know they will not benefit us.  God is NEVER obliged to answer our prayers with a "yes."  He will NOT act in ways that are CONTRARY to His Will, even if we should besiege Him by fervent prayers.  Anytime we seek to further our personal pleasures through prayer we are asking "amiss."  Remember in prayer, God does not bow to our will, instead we submit to His good Will for our lives.

(3) SIN IN YOUR LIFE
Isaiah 59:2 "But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you."
The Scriptures tell us what sin is.  Sin SEPARATES us fro God.  Sin corrupts human nature; it turns our thoughts to evil acts, arouses wrong desires, and so weakens our wills, that we choose the wrong, even when we know what is good. This reality underlines the grim picture of life in a sinful society.  Sin brings man under the divine wrath of God.  But how wonderful that we as Christians have a REDEEMER whose blood has washed away ALL our sins.  We as Christians need to tell this lost and sinful world of the FREE GIFT of SALVATION that comes through a BELIEF and TRUST in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  Those that are not saved are ALWAYS looking at you and in how you walk and talk, to see what the difference is between them and you. ALWAYS pray that you will walk in the Footprints of Jesus with the guidance of the Holy Spirit so that your life WILL NOT be a STUMBLING BLOCK to others.

(4) NEGLECTING THE NEEDS OF OTHERS
Proverbs 21:13: "Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, Will also cry and not be heard."
"Poor" would indicate the weak and needy individual.  A person who is indifferent to people in need, will find NO ONE helping them, when they call out for help.

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 15 December 2013, from Cindi, a daughter of the Kings of kings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Verse: Romans 8:22-25 "For we know that whole creation groans and labors with birth pang together until now.  Not only that, but we also who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly awaiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.  For we are saved in this hope, but hop that is seen is not hope; for why does one hope for what he see?  But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly await for it with perseverance."

The Spirit's work with us is presence tense salvation:  We are being SAVED from the POWER of sin and becoming RIGHTEOUS.  When Jesus returns, we will be saved completely, liberated from the last vestiges of sin, which clings so persistently to us.  One day creation itself will be RENEWED, even as we are being RENEWED.  When we are delivered from the bondage of corruption, there will be NO more DEATH.

Verse 22, refers to Adam's fall which has caused misery from then until present.  The present suffering of creation are the "birth pangs" of the new age to be born, the "Millennium."  From the fall until now, creation has been groaning over the pointlessness of have been made subject to the a new curse.  Creation looks forward to the time when the curse will be lifted.

The first fruits of the Spirit refers to the first working of the Holy Spirit, which is a pledge of more work to come, like the redemption of our bodies.  The Spirit and His work is God's assurance of the GREATER BLESSING to come.  The Spirit is a GUARANTEE of our inheritance.

Hope is constant exception of unseen reality.  We are SAVED by FAITH, but our HOPE is in the RETURN of Jesus Christ, in ALL His Glory, and our complete deliverance from our sinful natures.  If we are expecting something unseen, we as Christians need to wait with PERSEVERANCE; that is, we are willing to ENDURE the present.

We as Christians and our longing for heaven is good, because it is and EXTENSION of our YEARNING for God.  The HOPE of heaven is meant to STRENGTHEN  and ENCOURAGE us, filling us with WONDROUS JOY.  Many Christians have misunderstood this word "hope," believing that it denotes wishful thinking.  Nothing could be further from the truth.

As soon as Jesus comes into our lives, and He becomes our Savior, heaven then became our ULTIMATE DESTINATION. The phrase, "hope of heaven," highlights the benefits we as Christians can enjoy even while living here on this our temporary home. This HOPE keeps us spiritually alive during dark times of adversity,  brightens our path, and heightens our AWARENESS of the Presence of God.  God's DESIRE is that He "Fills our cups to overflowing," with the HOPE and POWER of the Holy Spirit.

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 14 December 2013, from Cindi, a daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Verse: Psalm 8:3-5 "When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which you have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?  For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor."

When we look at the splendor of God's Creation, and the WONDERS of NATURE, we as God's ultimate creation, need to ALWAYS PRAISE the Creator.  The universe with its infinite distances, was the doing of our Lord's finger.

What is man, in the vastness of Creation, and the surprising GLORY of God the Creator, and who are we, as men and women to presume upon Him?

The answer to that is stunning:  We as Men and Women stand at the summit of God's Creation.  God made man in His own Image, and just a little lower than the angels.  The words "crowned him with glory," in verse 6, means that God created us as humans, as MAJESTIC CREATURES, ho were to RULE over His Creation.  But because we are in a fallen state, we are DISFIGURED of the majesty God had intended.

However, because of Jesus, we recover MAJESTY, and in Him, we become as God had Created us to be and through Him we can BOLDLY come into the THRONE ROOM of GRACE and we are re-connected to God.

Whenever you feel WORTHLESS, may the words of this Psalm ENCOURAGE you, for we as humans as God's GREATEST Creation, are valuable, because God Created us in His own GLORIOUS IMAGE.

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 9 December 2013, from Cindi, a daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Verse: 1st Peter 5:6-11 "Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.  Be sober, be vigilant; your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking who He may devour.  Resist Him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.  But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Jesus Christ, after you have suffered awhile, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.  To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever.  Amen"

Wow!!! Peter in these verses hits the nail right n the head.  In verse 7, we are told that as Christians, we need to present all our WORRIES, ANXIETIES and ALL our PROBLEMS to God in order for Him to settle them.

In verse 8, we are to be self disciplined, to think wisely not foolishly.  We are to be aware of the spiritual pitfalls of life, and take the steps necessary o make sure that we do not stumble.  Satan is loose on this earth as a ROARING LION, and he is CUNNING and CRUEL.  He is our AVOWED enemy.  He NEVER ceases from ATTACKING us, and he is also CONSTANTLY ACCUSING us before God, but PRAISE GOD we have Jesus our High Priest who stands before the Father on our behalf and since Jesus is the BEST DEFENSE attorney in the entire UNIVERSE we are judged NOT GUILTY for we have been washed in the Blood of the Lamb.

In Verse 9, we a Christians are NOT to RUN, but to RESIST and to FIGHT, rather than FLEE.  We are to RESIST in the STRENGTH and POWER of Jesus and NOT our own. Our VICTORY comes when we remain committed to God, because He is GREATER than OUR ENEMY and Satan and his demons TREMBLED at the Name of Jesus Christ.

In verse 10, we as Christians are told that God WILL make our way STABLE, despite the instability we feel, living in a world that inflicts suffering upon us. God WILL give us the ABILITY to SUCCEED in ALL that we do for Him.  God helps us face the attacks of our enemy, by building in in a FIRM FOUNDATION that will make us STEADFAST and IMMOVABLE.

In verse 11, we are reminded by Peter that God is in CONTROL of ALL thing both in this world and throughout eternity.  "Amen" at the end of verse 11, echoes a Jewish practice of declaring that EVERYTHING that had been said is TRUE and that the hearers were committed to putting into practice that Truth.

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 7 December 2013, from Cindi, a daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Verse: Hebrews 12:28-29 "Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.  For our God is a consuming fire."

The earth shook at Mount Sinai and the earth will shake at the end of time, Matthew 24:29.  But the kingdom of God will not be shaken, for it will endure throughout ALL ETERNITY, Luke 18:29.  The writer of the Book of Hebrews says in verse 29, "Our God is a consuming fire" as he concludes his lengthy warning to those who are tempted to abandon the FAITH, Hebrews 2:1-12;29, with a vivid description of God''s Judgment, Deuteronomy 4:24.  The Lord WILL judge His people, Hebrews 10:27,30.

We as Christians need to let THANKFULNESS. temper ALL our thoughts.  When we have a THANKFUL mindset, it will then KEEP us in TOUCH with God.  God DISLIKES it when we as His children GRUMBLE, casually despising His sovereignty.  THANKFULNESS is a SAFEGUARD against GRUMBLING, and furthermore, a GRATEFUL ATTITUDE becomes a grid, through which we can PERCEIVE LIFE.

Our GRATITUDE as Christians, enables us to see the LIGHT of His PRESENCE shining on ALL our CIRCUMSTANCES, no matter how DARK or STORMY they may become.  We need to cultivate a THANKFUL HEART, for our GLORIES God who FILLS us with His JOY.  The kingdom alone WILL remain when the universe itself is shaken and the CREATION disappears.

May we today, CHOOSE to be THANKFUL.  May we CHOOSE NOT to GRUMBLE.  May we CHOOSE to come before God with a HUMBLE and GRATEFUL heart, in ALL that we SAY and DO.  How good it is to be a CITIZEN of the Kingdom of God.

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 11 August 2013, from Cindi, a daughter of the King of lings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Verse: Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control, against such theer is no law."

The word "fruit" is significant for three reasons:

(1) It means the result, product, outcome, or effect produced by the Spirit in believers
(2) Unlike the "gifts of the Spirit" only which some are given to a Christian, each believer
is to have all nine virtues of the "fruit of the Spirit."
(3) As fruit on a tree takes time to grow and mature, so the Spirit does not cultivate these
      virtues in the believer overnight.

The "Fruits of the Spirit" are:

(1) Love: which is the filling sacrificial giving of ones self for the benefit of another without
                 the thought of return
(2) Joy: is the gladness of heart
(3) Peace: is tranquility of mind, from us from worry and fear
(4) Longsuffering: is patience with others, the opposite of short temper, a disposition and
                                quietly bearing injury
(5) Gentleness: is kindness
(6) Goodness: is generosity
(7) Faith: is dependability
(8) Meekness: is gentleness, courtesy, and consideration in ones relationship with others
(9) Temperance: is self control and the ability to harness and control ones passions and
      lusts

The Spirit is like an engine.  He provides energy for the new nature, which drives the believer in the opposite direction from sin nature.  His works are obvious as well, for the Spirit produces the fruit of the Spirit in the believers personality.  In contrast to the works of the flesh, which any individual is capable of preforming, the fruit of the Spirit can be produced only by God.

The Christians character thus results from "Christ living within us." For this fruit to develop, all nine aspects of the fruits of the Spirit must mature.  the character of Christ is the fullest manifestation of this fruit in the New Testament.  Though Jesus did not recognize he traditions of men, His enemies were unable to prove any charges against Him.

We as Christians today, should allow the Holy Spirit to develop this character within us, so that we might be blameless before others, and not hinder the testimony of Jesus.  Praise God for the life changing experience that we have through the Holy Spirit, which we receive the second that we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.  Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow.

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 21 July 2013, from Cindi, a Daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Verse: Proverbs 9:1 "Wisdom has built her house.  She has hewn out her seven pillars."

In 9:1, we see the final contrast between wisdom and folly.  Each hold a banquet, one for life in verses 1-6 and one for death in verses 13-18.  Between the banquet descriptions, is a section in verses 7-12, that speaks of the consequences of the life of wisdom and the plight of folly.  Verse 1, as in 1:20, denotes wisdom is in the intensive plural rather than the singular.  It calls attention to itself.

Seven pillars represents completeness, as it often does in Semitic poetry.  That is, it is not that there were more precisely seven pillars so as much as that the house of a wisdom was solidly built and of substantial character.

The Wisdom of God, is used in three senses in the Scripture.  First, it refers to the higher prospectively by which God understands things that man in incapable of understanding, 1st Corinthians 1:25.  Second, it can refer to the understanding which a Christian should have in life, Proverbs 4:7.  Third, wisdom is seen as a type of Christ, who is our wisdom, 1st Corinthians 1:30.

When David said that Abner died as a fool in, 2nd Samuel 3:33, he meant that Abner died because he had followed his own intuition, rather than the wisdom of God, which would have saved him.  He was killed as he turned aside in the gate of Hebron.  Had he entered the "City of Refuge" as God had instructed, Joab would have been unable to kill him.

When we fail to follow where the Holy Spirit guides us, our Heavenly Father will discipline us, just as our earthly father does, and we will learn that wise Christians, will obey the Wisdom of God.

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 30 June 2013, from Cindi, a Daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Verse: Deuteronomy 6:4-5 "Hear O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is One!  You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength."

The fundamental concept of the Shema (the name of the passage which is the first word in Hebrew: Hear) is that God is One and NOT many god's.  By definition, there can be only One all-powerful, infinite, limitless God.  To speak of more than One Supreme, Absolute, Perfect, and Almighty God, to say something contradictory.  There CANNOT be two absolutes, for then there would be NO absolutes.  By revelation, we as Christians know that only YAHWEH is that One God.  There is nothing in your life that should come between you and Almighty God.

Moses repeatedly exhorted the Israelites to respond to God's love and devotion.  In this context, the word translated "love" may mean "to take ones choice in."  God commanded His people to choose Him with "All there being" and in the process, to deny all other supposed deities.  Complete love for our Abba Father, SHOULD NOT be a duty, but a daily desire to have His Arms wrapped around us, and showering us with His Love, His Care and His NEVER ENDING Grace.

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 26 June 2013, from Cindi, a Daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Verse: Psalm 34:4-7 "I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.  They looked at Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed.  This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of his troubles.  The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them."

We as Christians need to PRAISE God, for His continued goodness to us.  David in this Psalm calls on the hearer to "taste and see" that the Lord is GOOD.  He take the role of a teacher, and urges his people to do good, assuring them that God supervises the results of their choices and responds to the cry of the righteous.

"He heard me" is a classic statement of PRAISE in the Psalms.  God is praised for the DELIVERANCE He provides in response to the Prayers of His people.  Those who come to God in prayer as David did, found themselves transformed; it was as if they also experienced what Moses had on Mount Sinai (Exodus 34:39; 2nd Corinthians 3:18).  "Poor man" would refer to the needy as well as the humble, whom the Lord delights to deliver ( Psalm 47:6).

In verse 6, David says, "This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of his troubles."  The key in this verse is "when we call."  David realizes that he could have called on God while still in his homeland, not after he ventured into the land of Israel's enemies.

The phrase "angel of the LORD" and the name of God are often interchanged.  With the sense of God hovering over or surrounding the believer in this manner, there would be no need to fear, even in the most troubling of time.

In verses 4-7, God tell His children "I am with you and all around you, encircling us in golden rays of light."  God will ALWAYS behold us Face to face.  Not one of our thoughts escape God's notice, and because God in infinite, He is able to love us as if were the only ones in the entire universal (Thank You Jesus).

We as Christians need to walk with Him in intimate Love-steps, and not lose sight of God's Majesty.  Our Abba Fathers desire is to be our closest FRIEND, yet He is also our sovereign Lord.  He created our brain with the capacity to know Him as a Friend and as Lord simultaneously.  The human mind is the pinnacle of His Creation, but so few use it for it primary purpose, "Knowing God."

God communicates continually through the Holy Spirit, His Words, and His Creation.  We as humans are capable of receiving God and His Presence.  We my friends, are indeed fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of Almighty God.

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 1 May 2013, from Cindi, a Daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Verse: Romans 8:38-39 "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Wow!!! I am so loving these two verses from Paul, where he tells us that "NOTHING" will ever separate us from the Love of our Abba Father, through His Son, Jesus Christ.  Paul struggled for words to describe the absolute certainty of God's Love for believers.  Nothing hard or dangerous, neither death nor life can separate us.  If God, the "uncreated One" is for us, and no created thing can separate us, then our security and safety is absolute in Him.

We cannot be separated from God's Love, because it is set forth in a person who is God Himself, Jesus Christ, our Savior.  God's desire to redeem believers cannot be frustrated, because it is His "purpose."  It is our relationship with God that brings us victory, for He has chosen us not to dwell in the pit of sin, but to be transformed into the image of His Son.

God will "NEVER FORSAKE" us, nor even permit us to be charged with sin.  We as sons and daughters of the King of kings and Lord of lords, are God's Loved ones.  The emphasizes here is that "nothing" can, will, or separate us from the Love, Mercy, and Grace of our Abba Father through Jesus Christ our Lord.  With a LOVE that strong, and that REAL, shouldn't we willing  to go wherever, and do whatever  the Indwelling Power of the Holy Spirit directs us in our daily lives?  Our everyday prayer to the Lord should be that of Isaiah, in Isaiah 6:8, "Here I am Lord, send me."  Seek the guidance if the Holy Spirit and pick up you Cross and follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

Do not be discouraged by the difficulty of keeping your focus on God.  God knows that out hearts desire is to be aware of His Presence continually.  As Christians this should be our goal everyday.  We as human aim toward it but never fully achieve it in this life.  We need not let the feelings of failure weigh us down.  Instead, we need to try to see ourselves as God see us.  God is delighted by our deep desire to walk closely with Him through our daily life's.

God is pleased each time that we come to Him in Prayer and Communication with Him.  God is aware of our progress with Him as a growing and maturing Christian who is living in His Presence.  When we realized that our mind has wandered from God, we are not to be alarmed or surprised, because we live in a world that has been rigged to distract us.  We need each day to plow our way through the massive distractions to communicate with God, so that we can achieve the ultimate victory that comes through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  May we rejoice in the triumphs we achieve through Jesus, that He may increasingly light up our daily lives.

Have a God Filled and Spirit Led Day. Go in Peace and Serve the Lord our God with Gladness. ALWAYS remember, that when you have a spiritual, emotional, relational, physical, or financial dilemma in your life, and you yell out, "I CAN'T," GOD WHISPERS to you, "BUT I CAN."

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 18 April 2013, from Cindi, a daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Verse: Philippians 4:6-7 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be known to god; and the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ."

Wow!!  What great verses about God's protection for us His children.  In verse 6, "be anxious for nothing" means "don't worry about anything."  Verse 6, is one of the most memorized verses of Scripture.  It shows us that we can commit ALL of our concerns to the Lord.  We will care more deeply about those things we pray for, because we know that God hears and cares, then we can care without being anxious.

The Lord's nearness here, leads Paul to forbid his readers from worrying.  This statement by Paul, is no summons for irresponsibility, or an invitation to dismiss legitimate concerns.  The solution to undue anxiety is prayer "in everything in all matter of life."  The way to be free of "anxiety" is to be prayerful about EVERYTHING.  While God is eager to hear our requests, they should ALWAYS be accompanied with "Thanksgiving."  Thanksgiving, is to ALWAYS go along with our requests, and not be triggered only by ANSWERS to our prayers.  We Thank God because we know that He has not only heard our request, but will send what is good.  Because our prayers have been answered, even as we pray, THANKS is appropriate.

"The Peace of God" is that tranquility of mind freeing the believer from fear and worry.  "Peace which passes all understanding" means: (1) Peace divinely bestowed in times of anxiety, so wonderful that it exceeds ones ability to understand it and (2) God's Peace far surpasses ones own understanding of the problem, and our own ability to cope with and solve it.  "Shall keep" means "shall guard."  This is a military term for a sentinel standing guard duty.  Philippi, was guarded by a Roman garrison, and its citizens were accustomed to seeing soldiers protecting the city, and this word would be especially appreciated by his readers.

The "Peace of God" protects our minds from external corrupting influences and keeps it focused on God's Truth.  Also the "Peace of God" is the inner "peace" or "sustaining" confidence that God gives us when we pray with thanksgiving.  The last phrase, "with thanksgiving" is important.  Thanksgiving is an expression of assurance and reminder, that God has heard, and will answer our Prayers in accordance to his Will.

God's face is always shining upon us, beaming out "peace that transcends understanding."  We are surrounded by a sea of problems, but we are Face to face with God, who is our Peace and Comfort.  As long as we focus on God, we are safe in His Strong and Protective Arms.  If we stare too long at the problems around us, we will sink under the weight of our burdens, just as Peter sank into the waves of the storm as He was walking on water toward Jesus and he took his eyes and focus of Jesus.  When we start to sink, we like Peter need to call out to Jesus to help us, and He will lift us like Peter out of the trails and storms of our lives.

The closer we live our lives like Jesus, the safer we are in the protection of the Holy Spirit.  Life and its circumstances around us are undulating, and there are treacherous looking waves in the distance, but if we FIX our eyes on Jesus, the One who NEVER changes, we will realize that by the time that they treacherous waves reaches us, it will have shrunk to proportions of God's design.

Always remember, that Jesus is always by your side, and He promised that He would always be beside us to face today's waves.  He will stand by you today, tomorrow and all through eternity, helping us face each and every wave whether they be large or small.  The future is a phantom, seeking to spook us, but we as Christians can laugh and rejoice at the future, because Jesus holds our future, and is our future. (Thank You Jesus)

Gods Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 8 April 2013, from Cindi, a Daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lord."

Today's Bible Verse: John 14:1-4 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.  in my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you so.  I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto Myself, that where I am, there you may be also, and where I go you know, and the way you know."

Jesus, after announcing the betrayal of Judas in John 13:21, His own imminent departure in John 13:33, and Peter's denial in John 13:38, Jesus now tells His disciples not to "be troubled" but to trust in Him.  The larger reference is to all the apostles, through whom Jesus is going to lay the foundation of the church.  His comfort also includes instructions about His departure, the sending of the Holy Spirit, the promise of spiritual power, of answered prayers, and of peace, but especially the promise of "His Return."

Heaven is a place and the eternal hope of all Christians and believers.  Scripture describes it as a beautiful city, where the redeemed will live for eternity.  The activities in heaven include singing, Revelation 15:3, worship, Revelation 5:9, serving, Revelation 22:3, ruling, 2nd Timothy 2:12; Revelation 22:5, fellowship with others, Matthew 17:3 and eating, Revelation 2:17.

The quality of existence in heaven is a life of fellowship with God, Revelation 4:22, a life of rest, Revelation 13:14, a life of service, Revelation 22:3, a life of growth, Revelation 22:2, and a life of worship, Revelation 19:1.  The glories of heaven will belong only to those who have personally placed their FAITH and TRUST in Jesus Christ for their salvation.  Christians who work to win souls are gathering friends who will spend eternity with them in heaven.

Jesus in verse 3, tells us as Christians, that He will come again and receive us unto Himself.  Peter may have failed Jesus, just as we do, but Jesus will return for Peter, and all those who have placed their Faith and Trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  May we as Christians, like John, at the close of the Book of Revelation say, "Even so, come, Lord Jesus."

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 3 April 2013, from Cindi, a Daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Verse: Acts 1:9-11 "Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up and cloud received Him out of their sight.  And while they steadfastly looked toward heaven as He went up, behold two men stood by them in white apparel and said, "Men of Galilee, by do you stand gazing up into the heavens?  This same Jesus who was taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same manner as you saw Him go into heaven."

While they watched would suggest several things that are not apparent.  Unlike the appearances and disappearances of the past 40 days since the resurrection of Jesus from the grave, this departure however, was gradual and visible.  This was different and final, for He would no longer appear to them in bodily form.  His next appearance on earth will be at His Second Coming, when He will visibly and bodily sets His feet on the Mount of Olive. (Come, Lord Jesus, Come)

A "witness" is a person who "gives evidence" basing his or her testimony concerning actual events on a direct personal knowledge.  The disciples gave this kind of evidence concerning the life of Christ and His resurrection.  You and I give this kind of evidence concerning God's work in our lives.

Jesus promised that He would NEVER LEAVE nor FORSAKE us, but that He would be with us always, even to the end of the earth.  He fulfilled this promise in the form of the "Holy Spirit" who dwells with each believer.  "Taken up," "cloud received Him," "He went up," are three statements that portrayed the gradual majestic departure of Jesus from the earth.  The Second Coming of Jesus and the establishment of His kingdom, will occur the same way that Jesus ascended, Physically and Visibly in the clouds, and the whole WORLD will see Him.

Jesus Christ has ascended to heaven to resume His Glory and Enthronement.  He also began His High Priest Ministry in heaven for us as Christians, which continues still today, and will continue until we are all in heaven with Him.  It is doubtful that the disciples who watched Him physically ascend, completely understood all that  it signified at first.  When we as Christians understand the ascension of Christ, then we will look forward to His imminent return, and appropriates His present ministry as well.

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 25 March 2013, from Cindi, a daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Verse: "Luke 12:22-26 "Then He said to His disciples, "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on.  Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.  Consider the raven, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them, of how much more value than the birds?  And which one of you  by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?  If you are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?"

I love these verses.  As I continue to read and dig deeper into God's Words, I continue to be blown away by what God does for us, and how much He Loves me.  At one point in my life, I did worry about everything, but now I have learned with the Holy Spirit's guidance, not to worry about tomorrow, for I don't know what tomorrow holds, but God does.  So now my focus as well as all Christians should be on what we can do for Jesus "today" to bring the Good News of Salvation to others, knowing that He is ALWAYS with us, and that He will NEVER FORSAKE LEAVE nor LEAVE us.  Jesus tell us to bring "ALL" our burdens and cares to Him, and that He would "take them" onto His Strong and able Shoulders.  (WOW!!!) Thank You Jesus for Your Promises that "NEVER FAIL or FALL SHORT."

In verse 24, Jesus describes God's care of ravens, unclean creatures according to Jewish law and among the least respected of birds, yet God even cares for them.  "How much more valuable you, that they?"  Here, Jesus points out that God will take care of us.  We are told that worry is utterly useless, and shows a lack of FAITH in God's plan for our lives.

We are physical beings in a material universe, and must have food, drink, and shelter to survive.  Jesus her challenges us not to be anxious even about necessities and gives us two vital insights: (1) we need not be anxious, because we have an Abba Father who cares about us and (2) we must not be anxious, because that would shift the focus of our attention from God to the things of this world.

Anxiety is a result of envisioning the future without God.  So our best defense against worry, is staying in communication with our Heavenly Father.  When you turn your thoughts toward God, you can think much more positively.  Remember to  listen, as well as speak, making your thoughts a dialog with Him.

If you consider upcoming events, follow these rules: (1) Do not linger in the future, because anxieties sprout up like mushrooms when you wander there (2) Remember the promise of God's continued Presence and (3) Include God in any imagery that comes to mind.  This mental discipline does not come easily for us, because we are accustomed to being the "god" of our fantasies.  However, the reality of God's Presence with us, now and forevermore outshines and out weighs any fantasy that we could "EVER" imagine.

Have a God Filled and Spirit Led Day.  Go in Peace and Serve the Lord our God with Gladness.  Love God More Today.  ALWAYS remember that when you have a spiritual, emotional, relational, physical, or financial dilemma in your life, and you tell out, "I CAN'T," GOD WHISPERS to you, "BUT I CAN."

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 21 March 2013, from Cindi, a Daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Verse: Romans 12:2 "And do not be conformed to this world, but be conformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

"Be not conformed" means that we as Christians are to stop conforming ourselves to "this world."  We are to resist being poured into the mold of thinking, value systems, and conduct of this world.  We as believers are not "jell-o" and we don't have to conform to this world.  We are to be transformed from with, by God.

We as Christians are to no longer look at life's issues as mere human beings, but we are to let our perceptions be reshaped by God's own revelation of reality in the Scriptures. We as believers should be "transformed" that is, changed "by the renewing of the mind." Spiritual transformation starts in the mind and heart.  A mind dedicated to the world and its concerns will produce a life tossed back and forth by the currents of culture.  But a mind dedicated to God's truth will produce a life that can stand the test of time. As Christians we can resist the temptations of this world by meditating on God's truth and letting the Holy Spirit guide and shape our thoughts and behaviors.

We as Christians, need to be still in the Presence of God, even though countless tasks demand our attention. Nothing in our life is as important as spending time with God. While we wait in His Presence, He does His best work within us, by transforming us with the renewing of our minds.

We need to stop letting the worries of the world interfere with our Quite Time with God. If we do, it will plunge us headlong into wrong activities, where we will miss out on the richness of what God has planned for us.  Do not seek God primarily for what He can give you, BUT remember That He is the Giver, and He is more infinitely greater that any gift that He might impact upon us as Christians. God delights in blessing us His children, but He become deeply grieved when His blessings become idols in our hearts.  Anything can be an idol, if it distracts us from God our "First Love."

When we place God as the ultimate desire of our hearts, we will be safe from the danger of idolatry. As we wait in God's Presence, we can enjoy the greatest gift of them all: "Christ in you, the HOPE of GLORY."

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 19 March 2013, from Cindi, a Daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Verse: Romans 3:23-26 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, who God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus."

A personal sin may be one of commission (doing something that is prohibited) or a sin of omission (failing to do what is required of us).  It may also express it self in either an act or an attitude.  In verse 23, sin is portrayed as falling short of God's glory, going astray like a wandering sheep, Isaiah 53:6, transgressing or overstepping the law, Psalm 51:1; Luke 15:29, and trespassing, which means exercising our own wills in the realm of divine authority, Ephesians 2:1.

Sin brings hideous results, affecting not only our relationship with God, but also our relationship with others.  If not checked, sin will destroy the natural process of every person.  We as Christians should not sin, but if we do, we need to remember, that we have an Advocate before our Abba Father, Jesus Christ, and if we confess our sins, we then will be restored to our relationship and fellowship with God, 1 John 1:9-22.

Propitiation in verse 25, is the act of God, motivated by His Immense Love, whereby He accepts the blood of Christ, as the complete and satisfying sacrifice for all our sins, thus establishing a means of reconciliation between God and man.  While the offering of the blood of Christ was a sufficient propitiation for the sins of the whole world, 1 John 2:2, the complete benefits of His sacrifice are available only to those who by faith, accept this provision for sin.

"Atonement," implies the sacrificial death of a substitute who takes the punishment as offender deserves.  Jesus surrendered Himself up to death, represented here in the shedding of His blood.  As a substitute, He took the awesome penalty our sins deserved and thus saved us from the punishment that we deserved.

The death of Jesus on the Cross of Calvary, satisfied the Fathers righteous demands.  the emphasis is not on the blood as it coursed through the veins of Jesus, but that it was shed for our sins.  God can remain just (true to His nature) and still declare us as sinners to be righteous only because Jesus has paid for sin and satisfied God's Holy Law.  The sinner is not rendered guiltless, but pardoned.  Because His Son, Jesus Christ, has taken our sins upon Himself, God does compromise His Holiness when He forgives us as sinners and He imputes His righteousness to us as sinners.

Have a God Filled and Spirit Led Day.  Go in Peace an Serve the Lord our God with Gladness.  Love God More Today.  ALWAYS remember that when you have a spiritual, emotional, relational, physical, or financial dilemma in you life, and you yell out, "I CAN'T." GOD  WHISPERS to you, "BUT I CAN."

Gods Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 10 March 2013, from Cindi, a Daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords."

I am sorry that I haven't been able to get these out lately, but I have been really sick, but with the Lords Healing Hands upon me, I am feeling alot better.  If you would like to receive the Monday through Friday that I write via email called, "God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible" then email me you email address to cindilynn53@yahoo.com and I will send them to you.

Today's Bible Verse: John 14:1-4 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in me.  In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go to prepare a place for you. I will come again and receive you unto Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.  And where I go you know, and the way you know."

Jesus, after announcing the betrayal of Judas (John 13:21), His own imminent departure (John 13:33), and Peter's denial (John 13:38), Jesus then tells His  disciples not to "be troubled" but to trust Him.  The larger reference is to all the apostles, through whom Jesus is going to lay the foundation of the church.  His comfort also includes instructions about His departure, the sending of the Holy Spirit, the promise of spiritual power of Answered  Prayer, and of peace, but especially the promise of "His Return."

Heaven is a place and the eternal hope of all Christians and believers.  Scripture describes it as a beautiful city, where the redeemed will live for all eternity.  The activities in heaven include singing (Revelation 15:3), worship (Revelation 5:9), serving (Revelation 22:3),  ruling (2nd Timothy 2:12; Revelation 22:5), fellowship with others (Matthew 17:3), and eating Revelation 2:17).  The quality of existence in heaven is a life of fellowship with God (Revelation 22:4), a life of rest (Revelation 14:13), a life of service (Revelation 22:3), a life of growth (Revelation 22:2), and a life of worship (Revelation 19:1).  The glories of heaven belong only to those who have personally trusted in Jesus for their salvation.  Christians who work to win souls, are gathering friends who will spend all eternity with them in heaven.

Jesus in verse 3, tells us a Christians, that He will come again and receive us unto Himself.  Peter may have failed Jesus, just as we do, but Jesus will return for Peter, and all those who have placed their Faith and Trust in Jesus Christ, as their Lord and Savior.  May we has John, at the close of the Book of Revelation say, "Even so, come, Lord Jesus."

Please uplift Youcef Nardankari and American Pastor Saeed Abedini in your Prayers as they have been falsely accused by the Iranian Government and been sentenced to an Iranian prison.  Pray that God will uplift them with His Strength, His Peace and His Comfort as well as their families.  Also Pray for all those who are being persecuted for their Faith and Trust in Jesus Christ, as their Lord and Savior.

God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 2 February 2012, from Cindi, a daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords."

Today's Bible Verse: Exodus 33:14 "And He said, My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.'

"My Presence" means literally in Hebrew, "My Face."  This extraordinary promise of God's Presence with His people, was ultimately fulfilled in Jesus, God made man.  "Rest" refers to the land of Canaan, when the conquest would be over and the land could be enjoyed by the Israelites.  Moses even dared to say in verse 15, that the "Presence" of the Lord in the midst of His people, was the only acceptable condition for further advance.  Only the Lord's Presence would demonstrate to the surrounding nations, that Israel's deliverance was really the work of the True, and Merciful God.

We as Christians, need to let God prepare us for the day that will stretch out before us, for He knows exactly what the day will contain, whereas we have a vague idea about it.  We would love to see a road map showing us all the twists and turns of our journey, then we would feel more prepared if we could somehow visualize what is on the road ahead.

However, there is a better way to be prepared for whatever life will throw at us that day: Spend quality time with God in Prayer.  God will not always show us what is on the road ahead, but He will thoroughly equip us for the journey in this life.  The Ever Lasting Presence of the Holy Spirit is our companion each step of the way.

Stay in continual communication with God, whispering His Name whenever you need to redirect your thoughts, then, we as Christians, will walk each proceeding day with total and complete focus on God.  The abiding Presence of the Holy Spirit is the best road map of life available, as we walk here on this earth, our temporary home.

Please uplift Youcef Nardankari and American Pastor Saeed Abedini who have been falsely accused and have been imprisoned in a Iranian prison because of there Faith and Trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Pray that God will Uplift, and provide them His Strength, His Peace, and His Comfort to them as well as their families.  Also Pray for those who are being persecuted for there Faith and Trust in Jesus.
