Daily Bible Verse for Thursday 31 March 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, yes I will help yo, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

"Wow"  What words of comfort that our Living, Almighty, Loving, Caring and Gracious God is committed to strengthen us, help us, and protect us with His righteous right hand.

What a blessing it is to realize, that the awesome power of God that has been displayed throughout history, is still available to us even today.  We as believers know this to be true because God, our Creator in verse 10 says, "I WILL strengthen YOU and HELP you; I WILL uphold YOU."

My friends lean on God's power and strength in your daily walk with Him.  Remember, HE NEVER grows WEARY or Tired and HE is ALWAYS there for YOU.

Today's Hymn:  "Leaning On the Arms of Jesus"

Leaning on the arms of Jesus, Oh, it is so sweet and precious!
He will surely bless and keep us, Calmly resting free from care.
Leaning, leaning Safely on the arms of Jesus
I'm leaning, yes leaning, leaning on the arms of Jesus

Heavenly Father, What a faithful and loving God we serve.  Thank you for the strength and guidance that You provide those that have put there faith and trust in you and that we can lean on the arms of Jesus for the rest and peace that we need.
                                                                                                           Amen

Daily Bible Verse for Wednesday 30 March 2011

"Greeting Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Ruth 1:16,17 "But Ruth said: "Entreat me to not leave you, or to turn back from following you; for wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God my God.  Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried.  The Lord do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me."

"Wow"  What a beautiful and emotionally charged response.  Ruth in these two verse, describes her determination to remain with Naomi.  Her response not only shows loyalty to a friend, but clear insight in God.

Her statement of faith in the Lord God of Israel, is an oath of her commitment to the Living God.  She was choosing to cling not only to Naomi, her land and her people, but also to her God.

Ruth became a godly woman who was willing to forsake all that she had ever known, to follow the one true God.  Thus by identifying herself with the covenant people, Ruth qualified herself to claim Israel's God as her own.  What a statement of faith, and what a Wonderful and Loving God that we still serve even today.

Today's Hymn: "Come to my Rescue"

Falling on my knees in worship, giving all I am to seek Your face
Lord all I am is Yours, My whole life I place in Your hands
God of mercy, humbled I bow down, in Your presence at Your throne
I called, You answered, and You came to my Rescue
I want to be where You are, in my life, be lifted high
In our world be lifted high, in Your love be lifted high

Heavenly Father, Thank you for this story of Ruth that you have given us in this Your Holy Word.  What a beautiful story of love, loyalty and redemption.  Help us in our service to you, to be as loyal, and faithful to You as Ruth was.
                                                                                           Amen

Daily Bible Verse for Tuesday 29 March 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Isaiah 59:2

"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear you."

Throughout the Bible, Scripture tells us what sin is.  It teaches us the fact that sin separates us from God.  While God is ready to forgive, even the believer who habitually practices sin is cut of from fellowship with the Lord.

The Scriptures emphasizes the devastating effect of sin on human nature.  Sin curses us with spiritual death, a condition that will carry over into eternity, unless we receive new life through faith in Jesus Christ.

Sins corrupts human nature; it turns our thoughts to evil acts, arouses wrong desires, and so weakens our wills, that we choose the wrong, even though we know what is good. Sin is so hated by a Holy God, that it will bring the unbeliever under His Divine wrath.  How wonderful it is, that we as Christians have a Redeemer, who shed His blood, and washed us of our sins, and has taken away the wrath of Almighty God.

Today's Hymn: "Trust and Obey"

When we walk in the Lord in the light of His word
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still
And with all who will trust and obey
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

Heavenly Father, we are so thankful that because of our belief and trust in Your Son Jesus Christ, we will not endure Your wrath which we deserve, but will enjoy Your Love, Care and Grace.  Thank you for the indwelling Holy Spirit who teaches us, guides us and corrects us.  May we always remember, that there is no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
                                                                                                                              Amen

Daily Bible Verse for Monday 28 March 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Isaiah 40:28-31

"Have you not known?  Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary.  His understanding is unsearchable.  He gives power to the weak, and those who have no might He increases strength.  Even the youth shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord, shall renew there strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles.  They shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."

"WOW"  What a passage about the strength that God gives to us.  God is not only everlasting, He is also the Creator to all ends of the earth.  Since God neither faints, or never grows weary, He can and will meet all our needs.  He will NEVER EVER let us down.

Our human strength can never compare to the power of our Almighty God.  We are to wait with complete confidence, expectations, and hope in the Lord.  The transforming power of the Holy Spirit brings power to the believer.

The eagle gives us the picture of the strength that comes from the Lord.  The eagle is God who gives strength to that put there faith and trust in Him.  Comfort?  Comfort Indeed!!!! "Praise God"

Today's Hymn: "Everlasting God"

Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord, Wait upon the Lord, We will wait upon the Lord
Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord, Wait upon the Lord, We will wait upon the Lord
Our God You reign forever, Our hope and strong deliverer
You are the everlasting God, the everlasting God, You do not faint, You won't grow weary
You're the defender of the weak , You comfort those in need, You lift us up on wings like eagles
You are the everlasting God, The everlasting God, The everlasting God, the everlasting

Heavenly Father, How we praise you as our everlasting god.  Thank you for the strength and hope that You give to those that have been there faith and trust in you..  Help us Lord as we serve you, to run and not be weary, to walk and not faint.

Daily Bible Verse for Sunday 27 March 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Hebrew 4:15,16

"For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.  Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of GRACE that we may obtain MERCY and find GRACE to help us in time of need."

Our High Priest, Jesus Christ sympathizes with our weakness.  The word "sympathize" means "to suffer with" and would express the feelings of one who has entered into suffering.  Jesus experienced every degree of temptation as we do, yet He was without sin.  We as humans who give into temptation so easily, cannot even begin to know how strong temptation can be.  Jesus who never gave in, "KNOWS".

We as Christians should boldly and courageously approach God in Prayer, because His is a throne of GRACE, and our High Priest Jesus Christ, sits at His right hand and interceding for us.

MERCY in verse 16 is compassion for a sufferer so great that it moves one to help.  In this verse, MERCY implies failure:  we come to God because our sins have led us away from him and from rest.  The greatness and wonder of this passage is that, Jesus understands our every weakness, and we can come before God and find Him not accusing us, but finding His MERCY and GRACE.

Today's Hymn:  "Your Grace Is Enough"

Great is Your FAITHFULNESS O God, You wrestle with the sinners restless heart
You lead us by the still waters into MERCY, and NOTHING can keep us apart
So remember Your people, remember Your children, Remember Your promise  O God
Your GRACE is enough, Your GRACE is enough, Your GRACE is enough for me
Great is Your LOVE and JUSTICE God of Jacob, You use the weak to lead the strong
You lead us in the song of Your Salvation
And all Your people sing alone, Yeah Your GRACE is enough
Heaven reaches out to us, Your GRACE is enough for me
I'm covered in Your LOVE, Your GRACE is enough for me, it's enough for me

Heaven Father, How thankful we are for Your Son Jesus Christ, who stands before You interceding for us.  Thank You for Your continuing MERCY and GRACE that You shower upon those who believe and trust in You.
                                                                                                           Amen

Daily Bible Verse for Saturday 26 March 2011

'Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: 1 Corinthians 15:53-37

"For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass that saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory."  "O Death, where is your sting?  O Hades, where is your victory?"  The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is law.  But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

We as Christians, the moment that we accepted the free gift of Jesus Christ into our life's, will receive a body that is not subject to death.  Satan's apparent victory in the Garden of Eden, and at the Cross, were defeated by the death of Jesus and His Resurrection.. The grave no longer has power over Christians, because Jesus, has already conquered both. We are now free to participate in this victory.  "Praise God"

Today's Hymn: "God You Reign"

You paint the night, You count the stars and You call them by name
The skies proclaim, God You Reign
Your Glory shines, You teach the sun when to bring a new day
Creation sings, God You Reign
God You Reign, God You Reign
Forever and Ever, God You Reign
You part the sea, You move the mountains with the words that You say
My song remains, God You Reign
You hold my life, You know my heart, and you call me by name
I live today, God you Reign,
 Hallelujah, Allelu  Hallelujah, Allelu

Heavenly Father, You are the Creator of all that is.  Your Creation does sing of Your marvelous works.  You indeed Lord have made the stars and given them names and have taught the sun how to start a new day.  May our hearts always proclaim, "God You Reign".

"No matter what our circumstances, we should always Praise God"

Daily Bible Verse and Hymn for Friday 25 March 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Todays' Bible Verse: Lamentations 3:22-24

"Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassion fail not.  They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.  The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I hope in Him."

Everyday presents us with a new opportunity to discover and experience more of God's love for us.  God can be depended on, even in the midst of sorrow, pain and suffering.  Great is our Almighty God's faithfulness.  The compassionate, loving, caring character of God, dominate the wreckage of our life's.  God will always remain full of grace and truth in every situation.

The Lord is our hope and inheritance.  Hope in the Lord is not a wishful thought, but a confident expectation in the Lord.  "Wow"  What a Loving, Caring and all Powerful God that we serve.

Today's Hymn: "Count Your Blessings"

When upon life's billows you are tempest and tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking that all is lost
Count your many blessings, name them one by one
And it will surprise you what the Lord has done
Count your blessings, name them one by one
Count your blessings see what God hath done
Count your blessings, name them one by one
And it will surprise you what God hath done

Heavenly father, we are so grateful for the many blessings that You have bestowed upon us.  Help us Lord, not to be discouraged when we feel the pressure of the world piling upon us.  But help us to realize that we have You to turn to, and in You, we can do anything with the power and strength that you provide for us in our daily life's.
                                                                                    Amen

Daily Bible Verse for Thursday 24 March 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse:  Hebrews 13:5,6

"Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have.  For He himself has said, "I will never leave nor forsake you."  So we can boldly say: "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear: What can man do to me."

Wow!!!! What a message that is to our hearts.  "I will never leave you nor forsake you", is on of the most profound statements in the New Testament.

The bottom line of these two verses is, it isn't how much money we have in the bank or what material things we may have.  The message that is presented in these verses is that God is committed to us and will never leave nor forsake us.  That my friends is REAL SECURITY.

Today's Hymn: "All That I Need"

There is one thing that I know I will do, I will be holding on to You
I will be holding on to You, and when the dark clouds come
And bring down the rain, I know that You will sustain me, Lord
Your love is all that I need, All that I need, All that I need
Your love is all that I need, All I need is You

Heavenly Father, What a marvelous promise that You made to us, that you would never, ever forsake us nor leave us.  We are thankful Lord that unlike us humans, you are faithful in keeping the promise that You make to us.
                                                                                                 Amen

Daily Bible Verse for Wednesday 23 March 2011

Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Galatians 3:13,14

"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree), that the blessings of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."

When Jesus died for us, He took the curse of God himself.  By being crucified, Christ became cursed for us, and our sins were placed upon him.  Because our faith unites us to our Savior, His death is considered ours, and in Him our sins, have been punished, so that we are set free.

For us as Christians, it is comforting to know that Jesus Christ became the curse for us on the Cross of Calvary, when He shed His blood for our sins.

Today's Hymn: "From The Inside Out"

A thousand times I've failed, still your mercy remains
And should I stumble again, still I'm caught in Your grace
Everlasting Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise
From the inside out Lord, my soul cries out

Heavenly Father, How incredibly comforting as Christians it is to know, that Jesus became our curse on the cross of Calvary.  Thank you for the Grace that You have given us, through Your Son Jesus Christ.
                                                                                    Amen

Daily Bible Verse and Hymn for Tuesday 22 March 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: 1 John 4:9-11

"In this, the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent his only begotten son into the world, that we might live through Him.  In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought to love one another."

The love of God for us was demonstrated with the death of Jesus, upon the cross on our behalf.  Jesus is the only begotten Son which expresses not a literal birth, but a sense of uniqueness.  IN other words Jesus is the unique Son of God and NO other person is God's Son in the way that He is.

Divine love by its nature is unselfish.  It is self-sacrificing.  Jesus with His death, self sacrificed Himself for you, to avert the punishment our sins deserved, and now enables God to shower His blessings on us.

In verse 11 we as Christians are instructed that, "we also ought to love one another."  It is only fitting that we as Christians are to be loving, just as God loves us.

Today's Hymn: "Love Lifted Me"

I was sinking deep in sin, far from the peaceful shore
Very deeply stained within, sinking to raise no more;
But the Master of the sea, heard my despairing cry,
From the waters lifted me, now safe am I
Love lifted me, Love lifted me
When nothing else could help, Love lifted me!

Heavenly Father,  How thankful we are that you are a most Gracious and Loving God and that You Loved us so much that You sent Your Son Jesus Christ to be die for our sins that would rescue us from the death penalty which we deserve.  Thank You for Your continuing Love, Mercy and Grace.
                                                                             Amen

Daily Bible Verse and Hymn for Monday 21 March 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Todays' Bible Verse: Proverbs: 3:6

"In all ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path."

God is calling you to a life of constant communion with him.  God's basic training includes, learning to live above your circumstances, even when interacting on that cluttered plan of life.

You yearn for a simplified lifestyle, so that your communication with God can be uninterrupted, but He challenges you to relinquish the fantasy of an uncluttered world.

Accept each day just as soon as it comes, and find God in the midst of it all.  Talk with God about every aspect of your life, including your feelings and desires.

Remember, that your ultimate goal is not to control or fix everything around you; it is to keep communicating with God.  A successful day is one in which you have stayed in touch with Him.  The Holy Spirit will guide you moment by moment, and He will keep you close to Him.

Today's Hymn: "Friend of God"

Who am I that you are mindful of me, that You hear me when I call
Is it true that You are thinking of me, how You love me, It's amazing
I am a friend of God, I am a friend of God, I am a friend of God
He calls me friend
God almighty, Lord of Glory, You have called me friend

Daily Bible Verse and Hymn for Saturday 19 March 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Ephesians 2:8-10 "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."

What are "good works?"  Any activity that is beneficial to God or other people that reflects honor and glory to God.

Christians have been saved by grace.  The grace of God is the source of salvation; faith is the channel, not the cause.  God alone saves.  Salvation never starts in our efforts.  It is always though the loving kindness of God.

Our salvation has already occurred in the past, at the cross.  We cannot do anything to earn God's free gift of salvation.  Everything that we receive as believers is from our merciful and gracious Heavenly Father.

Today's Hymn: "Trust and Obey"(Verse 1)

When we walk  with the Lord, in the light of His word
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still
And with all who will trust and obey
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

Heavenly Father, Thank you for Your grace, that saves us from the death penalty that we deserve.  Because of the death and resurrection of your Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, we as sinners have been pardoned,  and we now receive this free gift that you so graciously bestow on those who have received Jesus into there life's.  .
                                                                                                                 Amen
