God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Thursday 27 October 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 27 October 2100"

Today's Bible Verse: Psalm 23

The 23rd Psalm has been a favorite of God's people through the ages and with due reason: it expresses as simply and clearly as any of the role of God as our protector and provider in life.

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD: The opening verse pictures David's uses for God come from his own life experiences as a shepherd in his youth.

I SHALL NOT WANT: God provides us his children with what we need in accordance to His will

HE MAKES ME TO LIE DOWN IN GREEN PASTURES:  David in using these words expresses his view of the abundant care God gives to His people.

HE LEADS ME BESIDE THE STILL WATERS: God's provision of stillness and peace within our lives has a soothing effect on us and and calms us.

HE RESTORES MY SOUL: this tell us that God refreshes us with His quite voice and gentle touch and for this reason our Shepherd knows us and we know Him (John 10:14).

HE LEADS ME IN THE PATHS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR HIS NAME'S SAKE: These words show us the Loving actions of our Great Shepherd Jesus Christ.

YEA THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH: this can refer to any distressing times in our lives as Christians.  The awareness of our own mortality often comes with sickness, trails, and hardship.  We as Christians need to realize that the Lord  who is our Protector, can lead us through these dark and difficult valleys to eternal life with Him.

I WILL FEAR NO EVIL FOR YOU ARE WITH ME:  There is no need to fear death's power because Jesus is the Resurrection and Life and through His death and resurrection He conquered death, sin and the grave.
YOUR ROD AND YOUR STAFF THEY COMFORT ME: Shepherds in guarding their sheep used the rod and staff to rescue, protect, and guide the sheep.  Jesus is our Good Shepherd and we are not alone because the Lord stands over us and protects us

YOU PREPARE A TABLE FOR ME IN THE PRESENCE OF MY ENEMIES: God's provision for us is so luxurious, it is as though He has prepared us a banquet.  One day we as Christians will be sitting with the Great Shepherd at His Banquet Table.

YOU ANOINT MY HEAD WITH OIL: As Christians God anoints us with the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.

MY CUP RUNS OVER: God's provision is as abundant as the wine offered to a guest by a generous host.  In the same way God's lavish treatment of  us His children, shows His loving care.

SURELY GOODNESS AND MERCY SHALL FOLLOW ME ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE: The use of both GOODNESS and MERCY to describe God's loyal love brings a strong meaning to these two words.

SHALL FOLLOW ME ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE: follow here means that the Lord as our shepherd instead of being stalked by wild beasts, we are pursued by the loving care of the Lord.

AND I WILL DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD FOREVER: God's promise for the believer was not just for enjoyment of this life, it is also for the full enjoyment of the life to come in His glorious presence.

Christ lived his life on this earth as a sheep to be the sacrifice for us as sinners.  He arose to become the Good Shepherd to guide us on the straight path that leads to His Protection.  As prophecy, Psalm 23 reminds us that though Christ walked in the "valley of the shadow of death" and experienced  turmoil, He was upheld by God's protective love, just as Christ upholds us today.

Today's Hymn: "He Leadeth Me"

He leadeth me, O blessed thought! O words with heavenly comfort fraught!
Whatever I do, wherever I be, Still it is God's hand that leadest me
Sometimes mid scenes of deepest gloom, Sometimes where Eden's bowers bloom,
By waters still, over troubled sea, Still it is His hand that leadest me
Lord, I would place my hand in Thine, Nor ever murmur nor repine;
Content, whatever lot is see, Since it is my God that leadest me
And when my task on earth is done, When by Thy grace the victory won,
Even death's cold wave I will not flee, Since God through Jordon leadest me
He leadest me, He leadest me, By His own hand He leadest me
His faithful follower I would be, For by His hand He leadest me

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit how thankful we are as your children that You are our protector and provider.  How thankful we are as Christians that we are You honored guest and that you have prepared a Banquet table for us. How thankful we are to You Jesus that You are our Great Shepherd and that you lead us, protect us and because You are always with us we will fear no evil because of the security afforded by Your protection.
                                                                                                                                 Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Wednesday 26 October 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 26 October 2011"

Today's Bible Verses: John 10:27-30: My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.  And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of my hand.  My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able them out of My Father's hands.  I and My Father are one."

Wow what a statement by our Lord confirming His deity that indeed He and the Father are one.  In these verses Jesus described three characteristics of his sheep (1) They hear His voice.  He knows them (2) They follow Him.  The following of the sheep is a metaphor for FAITH.  Other metaphors for Faith in John's Gospel include "drinking water" (4:14), eating bread (6:50,51), eating flesh and drinking blood (6:54) (3) They shall never perish.  Our eternal life's as Christians can never be taken away.  The Father's hand is more powerful than that of any enemy.

Verse 28 teaches us as Christians that through God we have a eternal security in which God is able to complete the good work of eternal life that He has began in every believer.  The eternal security of the believer is guaranteed by the person and work of God.  He is true and just, and cannot deny Himself.  Therefore anyone who has eternal life, has it forever (Amen)  God promises that no one can ever be separated from His love (Romans 8:38,39).

The Christian is saved and secured by FAITH, but in love and gratitude to Christ will seek to faithfully serve Him.  In verse 30 Jesus said that, "I and the Father are one."  Jesus is God.  This was a clear claim by Jesus of His deity.  The Jewish religious leaders understood exactly what He meant and were ready to stone Him for blasphemy.

Are you like me longing for His second coming and saying as John in the last words of the Book of Revelation "Even so, come, Lord Jesus."  If you are reading this writing and you are not a Christian you can be saved today.   The gift of Eternal Life and Salvation is free. All that is asked of you is to confess your sins to God and ask Him to come into your life and save you from your sins and unrighteousness.  If you do, you will receive the Holy Spirit sent to you from Jesus to guide and teach you, and most importantly you will become a son or daughter of the Kings of kings ,and Lord of lords, and spend all eternity basking in God's Love and Mercy and Grace.

Today's Hymn: "Psalm 121"

I lift up my eyes to the hills, Where does my help come from
I lift up my eyes to the hills, Where does my help come from
My help comes from the Lord, Maker of heaven and earth
I lift up my eyes to you, Whose throne is in the heaven

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit how wonderful it is to know that as Christians we have the Good Shepherd Jesus Christ whom we follow as we listen to His sweet and tender voice.  May we not be deceived by wolves in sheep's clothing who try to lead us away from our Shepherd.  But continue to listen to His voice that leads to us to green grass and Who gives the Living Water to drink.  May we as believers worship God in spirit and truth.
                                                                                                                                          Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible fo Tuesday 25 October 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 25 October 2011"

Today's Bible Verses: 1 Corinthians 11:24,25 "And when He had given thanks, he broke it, and said, "take eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: do this in remembrance of me."  In the same manner, He took the cup  after supper saying, "This cup is the New Covenant in my blood .  This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me."

The Lord's Supper is the distinctive symbol of Christian worship instituted by the Lord on the eve of His death, being a spiritual partaking of bread and of the fruits of the vine.  These elements are presented as a thankful expression of Christ's sacrifice, taken in fellowship with Him and with one another.  It is a memorial conducted in remembrance of Christ's atoning death, anticipating His return to earth.

The two symbols of this ordinance are the bread, representing the broken body of Christ, and the cup, representing His shed blood.  Christians are divided as to whether the table should be "opened" or "closed."  The chief argument supporting open communion is that it is the Lord's Supper, not a ceremony of a particular religious denomination.  Those who believe that the table should be restricted argue that the church should not allow a person to eat unworthily or bring judgment on his own head.

The pastor before the start of the Lord's Supper reminds everyone of the need for self-evaluation  After this instruction, the pastor leaves the decision to participate up to the individual.  The Lord's Supper is a unique, holy occasion for the gathrered church to sense the participation of every member with Jesus in His death.  In the Lord's Supper we are present at the Cross and testify to it. As Christians should approach the Lords Supper with awe and proper self examination with his or her own spiritual  progress and attitudes before partaking of the Lord's Supper.

Today's Hymn: "Thy Word Is a Lamp Unto My Feet"

When I feel afraid, Think I've lost my way, Still You're there right beside me
Nothing will I fear, as long as you are near, Please, be near me to the end
I will not forget, Your love for me and yet, my heart is forever wandering
Jesus be my guide, and hold me to your side, and I'll love You to the end
Nothing will I fear, As long as You are near me to the end
Please, be near me to the end
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, And a light unto my path
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, And a light unto my path
And a light unto my path, You're the light unto my path

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit may we as Christians as we come unto Thy table to observance the Lords Supper do in in awe and in remembrance of you and what You did upon the Cross of Calvary where You shed Your precious blood to cleanse us from all our sins and all our unrighteousness.  May we hide Thy Word in our hearts and minds that we might sin against Thee.
                                                                                                                    Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Thursday 20 October 2011"

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 20 October 2011"

Today's Bible Verse: James 1:2-5 "Mt brethren, count it all joy when you fall in various trails, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.  But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.  If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."

Trials are of outward circumstances--conflicts, suffering, and troubles, encountered by all believers.  Trials are not pleasant and may be extremely grievous, but believers are to consider them as opportunities for rejoicing.  Troubles and difficulties are a tool which refines and purifies our faith, producing patience and endurance.

The term "testing of your faith" means "tested" or "approved".  The aim of testing is not to destroy of afflict, but to purge and refine.  Patience transcends the idea of bearing affliction; it includes the idea of standing fast under pressure, with a staying power that turns trials and tribulations into opportunities of praise.  If a believer endures a trial, he or she will be perfect, meaning "having reached the end" and there are complete meaning that they are whole.

The wisdom God gives is not necessarily information on how to get out of trouble, but rather insight on how to learn from one 's difficulties.  The wisdom of God begins with a genuine reverence for the Almighty, and a steadfast confidence that God controls all circumstances, guiding them to His good purposes.

The summary of these verses is this: Jesus tells us to suffer for Him in His Name.  All suffering has meaning in His Kingdom.  Pain and problems are continued opportunities to demonstrate your trust in God. Bearing your circumstances bravely, and even thanking Him for them is one of the highest forms of praise.

The sacrifice of thanksgiving rings golden bells of JOY throughout the heavenly realm.  On earth also, our patient suffering sends out ripples of Good Tiding in ever widening circles.  When suffering strikes, remember that God is sovereign and that He can bring good out of everything.

Do not try to run from pain or hide your problems, instead, accept adversity in the Name of Jesus, offering it up to God for is purposes.  Your suffering gains meaning and draws you closer to God.  Joy emerges from the ashes of adversity through your trust and thankfulness in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Today's Hymn: "Amazing Grace"  (verses 3 and 4)

Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come;
"Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home
The Lord has promised good to me, His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and Portion be, As long as life endures

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit,  may we as Christians, as we go through trails and tribulations demonstrate our love for Jesus that we might receive the crown of life.  May we Father in the midst of trials be swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath.  May the trails and tribulations that we face, allow us to draw closer to you, so that we might feel Your love, Your Mercy and Your Grace.
                                                                                                                             Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for 18 October 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 18 October 2011"

Today's Bible Verse: Ephesians 1:13,14 "In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession to the praise of His glory."

The sealing of the Holy Spirit guarantees the benefits of our salvation, as a person might seal an envelope to guarantee its enclosures.  The Holy Spirit is the seal.  The Holy Spirit as the seal of the believer is also a "down payment" of His commitment to someday give Him all other things God has promised.  Christians should be careful to "grieve" not the Holy Spirit of God, by whom we are sealed unto the day of redemption.

The guarantee of our inheritance is the Holy Spirit is the Holy Spirit Himself.  As Christ is the bridegroom and the church is the bride, so the Holy Spirit is the down payment, the earnest money, in the long awaited marriage of the two.

The Old Testament describes the nation of Israel as God's special treasure, one He had purchased by His mighty acts of deliverance during the Exodus.  Here in verse 14 Paul describes Christians as the Lord's own possession, bought with the blood of His own Son.  The Holy Spirit is our guarantee of resurrection.

Today's Hymn: "Amazing Grace" (verses 1 and 2)

Amazing Grace! How sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now I am found; Was blind but now I see
"Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear, The hour I first believed!

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit amazing grace how sweet the sound it is to the ear of sinners.  How we thank you for your love and grace that was so great for us that You send Your son Jesus Christ to die upon the Cross of Calvary that when we confess our sins and accept Him into our lives, our sins are washed away and in the Book of Life under our names are the words, "Sins Forgiven, Washed In the Blood of the Lamb".   We as Christians may hope many things, but there is one hope that we as believers have in common, the Lord Jesus Christ, and in You we find true hope and true riches.
                                                                                                                            Amen

Today's Biblical Truth: "Christians have been saved by grace. The grace of God is the source of salvation; faith is the channel, not the cause.  God alone saves."

Gods Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Thursday 13 October 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 13 October 2011"

Today's Bible Verse: Psalms 62:5-8 " My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.  He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.  In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God.  Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us."

Thoughts of confidence and trust predominate in Psalm 62, making this psalm a "psalm of confidence."  The expressions of trust found in verses 1,2 and 5-7 are rich with with figures that picture the absolute stability of being found in God.  At lease five nouns describe God's protection: rock, salvation, defense (verse 2), glory and refuge (verse 7).  The lament (verses 3,4) concerns his enemies.  However, from hos confident position he is able to exhort others to trust in the Lord (verses 8-12).

Jesus is the culmination of our hopes and desires.  He is the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last: who is and was and is to come.  Before we knew God, we expressed our longings for Him in hurtful ways.  We were vulnerable to the evil around us in the world.  But God's presence safely shields us, enfolding us in His loving arms.

God has lifted us out of darkness and has  and into His marvelous light.  Thought Jesus has brought many pleasures into our lives not one of the is essential.  Receive God's blessings with open hands.  Enjoy His good gifts, but to do cling to them.  Always turn you attention to the Giver of all good things, and rest in the knowledge that we are complete in Him.

The one thing that we as Christians need is the one thing we can never lose: His presence that is always with us.  He has promised that He will never ever leave nor forsake us  and that we are sons and daughters of the Kings of kings and Lord and lords.  Have you been to Jesus for the Free Gift of salvation?  If not why not do it TODAY, and be assured that when we you leave this world and you face our Heavenly Father He will say to you, "Well done thou good and faithful servant into the kingdom that I have prepared for you."

Today's Hymn: "When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder"

On that bright and cloudless morning, when the dead in Christ shall rise,
And the glory of His resurrection share;
When His chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the skies,
And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there.
When the roll, is called up yonder, When the roll is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder, When the roll is called up yonder I'll be there

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, today Lord we choose to acknowledge Your Presence in this day and forever more.  May we enjoy every second and every minute of every hour wit Thee.  May we as Christians and Your children come to you and trust you with every aspect of our daily lives.  May we experience Your unfathomable peace and the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.  Help us Father to focus on You and love today in complete FULLNESS of you and Your neverending Mercy, Grace and Love.
                                                                                                                          Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for 10 October 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 10 October"

Today's Bible Verse: 1 John 2:22 "Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ?  He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son."

The term "antichrist" refers to anyone usurping the place of Christ or opposing Christ.  But the title of "the Antichrist" identifies a person who emerges during the Great Tribulation to lead Satan's strategy here on earth.

The term is used 5 times in the New Testament and only by John, although the Antichrist of the Great Tribulation is identified by many other names and titles in Scripture: "that wicked" (2 Thessalonians 2:8); "the son of perdition" (2 Thessalonians 2:3); the willful king (Daniel 11:36).

He is chiefly depicted in the Scripture as an immensely powerful policial leader.  He apparently heads the revived Roman Empire, but will not be revealed until after the Rapture (2 Thessalonians 2:3).  In the past overzealous teachers of prophecy have identified several principle world leaders with the Antichrist.

Christians should not only be aware of this tendency and avoid it, they should also recognize that the spirit of the antichrist is already at work in this world.  Literally Satan is the great deceiver and liar.  He is the epitome of a lying deceiver who claims to represent Christianity but who accords Jesus Christ less than His full due as Savior and coequal partner with the Father.  These should be sobering words for modern understandings of religion and Christianity which deny Christ His scriptural status by making Him less than fully divine.

Denying the deity of Jesus is the same as denying the Father and the Son.  In John's epistles, denying that Jesus is the Christ includes denying that He came in the flesh.  A person CANNOT worship God while denying Jesus' full deity and full humanity.

Today's Hymn: "My Hope Is Built On Nothing Less"

My hope is built on nothing less, Than Jesus blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly trust in Jesus Name
On Christ the solid Rock I stand, All other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, as we come into the last days before Your second coming may be as Christians be aware of the sheep in wolves clothing that try to lure us away from the teaching in the Bible.  May the Holy Spirit open our eyes to what is truly going on around us and may be place our complete trust in you as You guide and protect us each and every day.  May we not listen to those who say Christ is coming today or tomorrow or in the weeks to come because we have been told in your word that only The Father knows when You are coming back to receive us unto your self. For we as Christians know that when you come back the WHOLE WORLD will see you and know that You are the Christ the Son of the Living God.
                                                                                                                         Amen

Today's Biblical Truth: "Because God is righteous, the divine sonship of Christians is revealed through righteous living, which includes love of fellow Christians and belief in the deity of Jesus."

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for 7 October 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our and Savior Jesus Christ for 7 October 2011"

Today's Bible Verse: 1 Corinthians 12:13,14 "For by one Spirit we were baptisted into one body, whether Jew or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and all have been made to drink into one Spirit.  For in fact the body is not one member but many."

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is an act whereby the individual believer becomes united with Christ. The baptism of the Spirit is the effect of of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ and that believer is united with Christ by this baptism.

Initially, the baptism of the Holy Spirit occured on the Day of Pentecost when the new church was baptized in the Spirit (Acts 2:2).  Personally a Christian is baptized in the Spirit at the moment of his or her conversion (verse 13).  As the believer submits to water baptism, he or she testifies of the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Romans 6:4-6).

Believers are part of the whole body infused by the one God.  All believers are baptized into the body of Christ, whether they are Jew or Greeks, slaves or free.  This expression of Paul echoes his teachings in the book of Galatains concerning equal access by faith into the promise of Abraham (Galatains 3:26-29).  The Spirit not only surrounds us, He also dwells within us (Praise God).

Today's Hymn: "Redeemed How I Love To Proclaim It"

Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it! Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb
Redeemed through His infinite mercy, His child and forever I am
Redeemed, Redeemed, Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb
Redeemed, Redeemed, His child and forever I am

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how wonderful is as Christians that the moment we accept Jesus Christ into our lives we are baptised with the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.  Thank you Father for loving us so much that You send Your Son to live among us and and then to die for our many sins.  Thank You Jesus for the Holy Spirit that you send to us when when took your into our hearts and lives.  Thank you Holy Spirit for the indwelling power that we have through You and thank you for you constant leading, teaching and protection.
                                                                                                                                                  Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Thursday 6 October 2011"

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 6 October 2011"

Today's Bible Verse: Matthew 6:33,34 "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things.  Sufficient for the day is its own troubles."

For the true believer in Jesus Christ the Holy Spirit dwells within us and is taking care of us.  That is the most important fact of our existence.  God is not limited by time of space; His daily Presence with you is a forever promise.  As Christians we need not fear the future, for He is the future.  Our future is in His hands: He releases His strength and power in us day by day, moment by moment.  Therefore we need not worry about tomorrow.

As His sons and daughters He wants us to live each day abundantly, seeing all there is to see and doing all that there is to do.  We need not be concerned or distracted by future concerns.  Leave them in the Hands of God!

Each day of life is a glorious gift, We as believers need to know how to live within the confines of today.  Much of our energy for abundant living spills over the time line into tomorrows worries or past regrets.  Our remaining energy is sufficient only through limping through the day, not for living it to the full.

The Holy Spirit is training us to keep our focus on His Presence in the present.  This is how to receive abundant Life, which flows freely from His throne of grace.

Today's Hymn: "Because He Lives"

God sent His Son, they called Him Jesus; He came to Love, Heal and Forgive
He Lived and died to buy my pardon, an empty grave is there to prove my Savior Lives
Because He Lives I can face tomorrow, Because He Lives all fear is gone
Because I know He hold the future, and life is worth the living, Just Because He Lives

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how thankful we are as Christians that life is indeed worth the living because our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ does live.  How thankful we are that we serve a risen Savior who is with us each and every day and we not not worry about the future because He is the Future.  May we take one day at a time and focus each day on serving you knowing that You will be with us FOREVER.
                                                                                                                     Amen

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Wednesday 5 October 2011

"Greeting in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 5 October 2011"

Today's Bible Verse: Psalm 13:5,6 "But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.  I will sing to the Lord, Because He has dealt bountifully with me."

Psalm 13 is a psalm of lament, an impassioned cry to the Lord for help.  in verses 5 and 6 the tone of the psalm abruptly changes from DESPAIR to HOPE.  In these verses, David recalls his commitment to trust God completely.  The term mercy describes God's royal love, His faithfulness to His commitment to take care of His people.  Based on the assurance that God will deliver him, David resolves to tell people about it.  This then is the essence of PRAISE.
When many things seems to be going wrong in your life, trust in God.  When your life feels increasingly out of control go to God.  These are supernatural responses, and they can life you above your circumstances.  If you do what comes naturally in the face of difficulties, you may fall prey to negativism.  Even a few complaints can set you on a path that is a downward spiral, by darkening your perspective and mind-set.

With this attitude controlling you, complaints flow more and more readily from your mouth.  Each on moves you steadily down the slippery road spiral.  The lower you go, the faster you slide; but it is still possible to apply the brakes.

Cry out to Almighty God! Affirm your faith and trust in Him regardless of how you feel.  Thank God for everything and gradually you will begin to ascend, recovering your lost ground.  When you are back on level ground, you can face your circumstances from a humble perspective.

Today's Hymn: "Fill My Cup Lord"

Like the woman at the well, I was seeking for things that could not satisfy
And then I heard my Savior speaking, "Draw from my well that never shall run dry."
Fill my cup, Lord; I lift it up Lord! Come and quench this thirsting of my soul
Bread of heaven, feed me till I want no more, Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole!

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how wonderful it is to have a loving Heavenly Father who listens to us and who is ready to help us and to deliver us from the trials and storms of our lives.  May we as your representatives and ambassadors go out and spread the Good News to those around us to be reconciled to You and to listen to the loving and forgiving voice of their Creator.  Strengthen our faith on the assurance that You will deliver us and protect us.
                                                                                                                                                     Amen

Today's Biblical Truth: "Base your faith on the fact that God hears when you call out to Him and He will deliver you."

God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Tuesday 4 October 2011

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 4 October 2011"

Today's Bible Verse: John 8:31,32 " Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in Me, you are my disciples indeed.  And if you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

In John "truth" is that which is in full correspondence with reality.  We can't know this kind of truth in theory, but must experience the reality Jesus' words portray by putting them into practice.  If you and I want to "know the truth" about anything, we must be disciples, holding firmly to the teachings of Jesus and putting His words into practice.

Freedom is the experience of life of a relationship with God, with one's self, with others, and with the material world, as God intends it for human beings.  Freedom is not unrestrained indulgence in anything we may want to do when we want it.  Freedom is being whom we really are, creatures shaped by God for fellowship with Him, creatures who find joy and fulfillment only in loving and serving Him.

Freedom is freedom to be who we were intended to be.  The way to freedom is marked out by the words of Jesus Christ.  Yahweh, God's personal name in the Old Testament., can be translated, "I Am."  Jesus in saying He saw Abraham and in affirming the eternity of His being, laid clear claim to being the God of the Old Testament, and was so understood by the Jew.

Today's Hymn: "Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing"

Come Thou Fount of every blessing, Tune by heart to sing Thy grace
Streams of mercy never ceasing, Call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet, Sung by flaming tongues above
Praise the mount I'm fixed upon it, Mount of Thy redeeming love

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, may we in humble and thankful praise come before You being set free from the bondage of sin.  May we follow you in obedience and have that daily fellowship with You.  May the Holy Spirit protect us from sin and may we each second of each minute and every hour that we are here on this planet our temporary home experience the Almighty Love that You Abba Father have for each of Your children."
                                                                                                                                      Amen

Today's Biblical Truth: "As the sun is the physical light of the world, so Jesus is the spiritual light of the world, and as light of the world, Jesus exposes sin and gives us sight."
