God's Words of Wisdom from the Bible for Saturday 28 May 2011

"Greetings Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"

Today's Bible Verse: Exodus 20:17  "You shall not covet your neighbors house; you shall not covet your neighbors wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, or his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbors."

Today is number Ten of God's Ten Commandments.  Covet means "to have a strong desire for."  Coveting is not merely an application of something from a distance, but a uncontrolled, inordinate, selfish desire.

The Tenth Commandment governed an internal matter:  the sin of coveting occured in the mind.  To want anything which God has chosen to give another reveals a failure to give God priority in our lives.

Today's Hymn: "Christ Receiveth Sinful Men"

Come, and He will give you rest, trust Him, for His word is plain
He will take the sinfulest, Christ receiveth sinful men
Sing it o'er and over again, Christ receiveth sinful men
Make the message cleat and plain, Christ receiveth sinful men

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit  Help us as we live our life's for you, not to want what our neighbors, or friends have but to focus on you and that others will see what we have within us and they will want, what we have in Jesus.
                                                                                                                 Amen

Today's Biblical Truth: "Grace is God's unearned favor"

Have a God Filled and a Spirit Led Day.  Go in Peace and Serve the Lord with Gladness.  Love God More Today and always remember that when you have a spiritual dilemma in your life and you yell out, "I CAN'T",   God Whispers to you, "BUT I CAN".

 Yours Sister in Christ,
Cindi
