"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 29 November 2011'
Today's Bible Verse: Psalm 15:1 "Lord who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill?
Psalm 15 is titled, "The Character of Those Who May Dwell with the Lord." It is a wisdom psalm but its principle focus is on the proper approach to the worship of God. Although all of the psalms were used in the worship of God, this poem is a worship poem because of it's special focus on this subject.
The Psalm asks the question, Who is righteousness enough to approach God? Certainly no one is except Jesus, the Messiah. But there have always been those who stand before God as forgiven sinners, whose righteousness comes as a gift from God. We who are in Christ, learn to come boldly into the Presence of the Father, because we come on the authority of His Son (Hebrews 4:16).
Jesus makes us feel at home in the Presence of the Father. David who wrote this psalm, has it written in a question-and-answer format. (1) The question of who may approach the Holy God (verse 1); (2) the response (verses 2-4); and (3) The Blessing (verse 5). The promise of God for the righteous is for this life and the life to come. The Lord is righteous persons sure foundation.
Instead of a Hymn Today I am including a poem that I have written. Hope that it blesses you.
"God Loves You"
God Loves You and he will Never Ever Forsake nor Leave You
He is always by your side, with His Loving Arms opened wide
Wanting to Hold you next to Him with His Strong and Caring Arms
He is there with you when you Smile, and He Feels your every Tear
He is, and always Will be your Best and Faithful Friend
If you but Call on Him, He Will Come, like He Promises in His Word
Open your Arms and Run to His Nailed Scared Hands and Opened Arms
As He Speaks to your Heart and Mind, Shout Out, "Here I am Lord,
I am Thine," and then Bask in His Love, Mercy and Marvelous Grace
Jesus is Calling you to Come Find that Inner Peace Through Him
Seek Him and you Will Find Him, Knock and the Door Will be Opened
Ask, and your Abba Father will shower you with His Love and Grace
For Jesus Is the Same Yesterday, Today, and Forever
He Never Changes His Mind nor His Promises, for He Always Will Be
Your Caring, Loving, and Gracious Heavenly Father, and Almighty God
Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, help us in our daily lives to seek You, and to always listen for your soft and tender voice as the Holy Spirit guides us through each day of our lives on this our temporary home here on this, Your Earth. May we always, and forever more, give you all the Praise and Glory for which You so Richly Deserve.
Amen

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 28 November 2011"
Today's Bible Verse: Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Wow, what a verse for us in the world that we live in today. This writing is for all who are going through physical and mental pain, financial woes, or feeling alone as if God has abandoned you. Our enemy who, "walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8) wants you to feel that way. Always remember the words of Hebrews 13:5, "Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave nor forsake you." (What a promise from our God)
This verse emphasizes God's commitment to strengthen and help us, His children. We as Christians need to learn to appreciate difficult ways. We need to be stimulated by the challenges we encounter alone life's pathway. As we journey through rough terrain with God, we will gain confidence from our knowledge of God, and that together with Him we can handle anything that the world may throw our way.
This knowledge is comprised of three part: (1) Our relationship with God (2) His promises made in His word and (3) Our past experiences in coping successfully during hard times. We need to always remember that God is always there for us through all difficult days, and that He will give us the strength to withstand and trials and tribulations we face. We need but just ask, and He is Faithful and Just to provide for us what we need.
We need to have Faith like that of Peter had to step out on the water and start walking to Jesus, but we need to keep that faith to walk on the water by keeping our eyes on Jesus, so that we will not be afraid of the storms of our life's, because once we take our eyes of off Jesus we will start to sink in the waters of life because of our lack of faith. But isn't it great to know that even we we start to sink like Peter, we can call out to Jesus to save us, and he will take us by our hand, and pull us to safety, and direct us but on the path that leads us to Him. (Wow)
If you are tempted to think, "Yes, but that then, and this is now," remember that God is, THE GREAT I AM." Although our circumstances may change dramatically, God will always remain the same throughout time and eternity. This is the basis of our confidence. In God's Presence we live, move, and have our being.
What a wonder to realize that the awesome power that God has displayed all throughout history is available to us even still today. We know that it is, for God our Creator has said, "I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you. God has a plan and purpose to carry out, and history unfolds according to His grand, eternal design. How great is our God. May we daily Praise God from Whom all Blessings Flow.
Today's Hymn: "God Of Wonders"
Lord of creation, of water, earth and sky, The heavens are Your tabernacle
Glory to the Lord on high
God of wonders beyond our galaxy, You are Holy, Holy, The universe declares Your Majesty
And You Holy, Holy, Holy
Lord of heaven and earth, Lord of heaven and earth
early in the morning, I will celebrate the light, When I stumble in darkness
I will call Your name by night
Hallelujah to the Lord of Heaven and Earth
Your wonderful Lord, so wonderful Lord, So wonderful Lord
The universe declares Your majesty, And You are Holy, Holy, Holy
Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, thank you for the strength that You give us each day to walk in accordance to Your ways. May we raise our hands to you in praise and thanksgiving and humbly bow before you in awe, as we come into Your loving and Gracious Presence. What a relief to know that You, Abba Father, will never leave nor forsake us, and that You are All Powerful and that nothing is Impossible with You. Thank you Jesus, for being the Resurrection and the Life, and filling us with the Living Water of the Holy Spirit. May the things that we say and do, always bring great Glory and Honor to Your Name, as we reach out to others for You.
Amen

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 25 November 2011"
Today's Bible Verse: Luke 13:3 "I tell you, no; but unless you repeat you will all likewise perish."
Repentance was the common theme in the preaching of the prophets in the Old Testament. In the New Testament John the Baptist (Matthew 3:8), Jesus (Mark 1:15) and the apostles (Acts 2:38), all spoke of the need to repent.
Repentance is necessary for salvation, but repentance alone does not save. It means to change one's mind about sin in such a way as to result in a change of action. In this sense, it is similar to conversion, which involves both repentance and faith.
Repentance begins with a change of thought concerning sin, often resulting in a sense of godly sorrow. In coming to Christ for salvation there is also a change in will. Repentance is produced in the our life's by means of the Word of God, the chastisement of the Lord, belief of the truth, and a new vision of God. Jesus taught that repentance could not be produced by miracles (Matthew 11:20-21), not even by someone rising from the dead (Luke 16:30-31).
In the Old Testament, Manasseh was carried into captivity before he acknowledged his sin and repented. On His trip through Jericho, Jesus encountered a man named Zaccheus. This man repented, although he had lived an evil live for many years. Both of these men found salvation, yet others whose lives have been less evil, remain unsaved because they will not repent.
Whenever God speaks to a Christian about a certain sin in there life, we should immediately fall down on our knees and repent and depend on God to give us the victory. Like Job's friends, people assume that since God is just, suffering proved that a person is guilty of a sin. Jesus rejects this view. Jesus points out in today's verse, that everyone stands at the edge of death until repentance occurs. We all are sinners. Unless we repent, we are in peril of eternal judgment, not just physical death.
Today's Hymn: "Grace Greater Than Our Sin"
Marvelous grace of our loving Lord, Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt
Yonder on Calvary's mount out poured, There where the blood of the lamb was spilled
Sin and despair, like the sea waves cold, Threaten the soul with infinite loss
Grace that is greater, yes, grace untold, Points to the refuge, the mighty Cross
Dark is the stain that we cannot hide, what can avail to wash it away?
Look! There is flowing a crimson tide, Brighter than snow you may be today
Marvelous, infinite, matchless grace, Freely bestowed on all who believe!
You that are longing to see His face, Will you this moment His grace receive?
Grace, Grace, God's Grace, Grace that will pardon and cleanse within
Grace, Grace, God's Grace, Grace that is greater than all our sin
Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, help us in our daily lives to seek You, and to listen for your soft, tender, sweet loving voice as you guide us through each day of our temporary home here on Your earth. How thankful we are, that when we came to you Jesus, with true repentance asking you to forgive us of our sins, that You were faithful and just to forgive us of our sins, and cleanse us of all our unrighteousness ,and then instill within us the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit. May we today. and forevermore, give You all the Praise and Glory, for which You so richly deserve.
Amen
Today's Biblical Truth: "The manner in which a person dies, is not a measure of righteousness; what is important is not to die outside of God's Grace and Care."

Your Sister in Christ,

Today's Bible Verse: Psalm 63:3-4 "Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You."
David in Psalm 63 cries out his deep longing to experience God's presence. He realizes that his soul finds just that, satisfaction through praise. With the fresh touch of praise to God, David as well as us today can have a renewed confidence in the Lord and experience a unique joy.
David in our verses today, expresses his joy in knowing God and it reveals his determination to continue praising God throughout his life. Lovingkindness may also be translated "Royal Love". Praise is a vocal, public act in the Psalms. As we lift our hands to the Lord we as Christians express our dependence on Him, coupled with an acknowledgment of His power, wonder and majesty. In coming to the Lord in praise, we find the refreshment of our souls that we seek.
We as Christians every day need to ask God for spiritual renewal, express our thankfulness, and place all our faith and trust in Jesus knowing that He never breaks His promises and that He has told us that He would never leave nor forsake us and that He would be with us to the end of the world. What a promise to lean on.
Today's Hymn: "The Wonderful Cross"
When I survey the wondrous Cross, on which the Prince of Glory died
My richest gain I count but loss, and pour contempt on all my pride
See from His head, his hands, his feet, sorrow and love mingled down
Did ever love and sorrow meet, or thrones compose so rich a crown
Were the whole realm of nature mine, that were an offering far to small
Love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life my all
O the wonderful Cross, O the wonderful Cross
Bids me come and die ,and find that I might truly live
O the Wonderful Cross, O the wonderful Cross
All who gather here by grace draw near, and bless Your Name
Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, what a blessing it is to have You within our hearts and to be showered with Your love and grace. May we as Christians, Abba Father, mediate daily on Your Words written in Scriptures that we might know what You want us to do with our lives and to fill our minds with the knowledge of God. May we hide Your Words in our hearts that we as your children might not sin against Thee.

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 21 November 2011"
Today's Bible Verse: Jeremiah 36:27-28 "Now after the king had burned the scroll with the words which Baruch had written at the instruction of Jeremiah, the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying, :"take yet another scroll, and write on it all the former words that were in the first scroll which Jehoiakim the king of Judah had burned."
Here we see that king Jehoiakim as he listens to the words of the first scroll shows his utter contempt for God's Word by burning up the scroll. Rather than repent, the king orders the arrest of Jeremiah and Baruch. The Lord tells Jeremiah and write yet another scroll.
In verses 29-31 indictment and judgement against Jehoiakim is pronounced. The indictment was declared because he destroyed the scroll of the word of God. First the Davidic lineage would not continue through him. His son would rule only three months before King Nebuchadnezzar deported Jehoiachin to Babylon, where he died. Second the king's body would be treated disgracefully after his death. As the king has cast the scroll into the fire, so his body would be cast from the royal palace. Third the royal household would experience the destructive judgement that had been pronounced in the words of the original scroll.
These verses show us that God, who inspired the Scripture, has throughout the years protected His Word from the attacks of evil men so as to preserve its content and existence. While the original manuscripts have long since disappeared, ancient copies and quotations from early church leaders demonstrate the preservation of Scripture. If there were no manuscripts, a complete copy of the Scriptures could be reproduced simply from the many quotations found in the writings of the early church fathers.
God's preservation of Scriptures was demonstrated in the ministry of Jeremiah. As we read earlier the king destroyed the first scroll of his prophecy, but God had it reproduced to ensure its preservation. As we read the Scriptures, the fact that God has preserved then for us over the years should emphasize their importance. Matthew 24:35 says, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words will by no means pass away. We as Christians need to do what is right and let God judge those who do wrong.
Today's Hymn: "I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever"
Over the mountains and the sea, Your river runs with love for me
And I will open up my heart and let the healer set me free
I'm happy to be in the truth, and I will daily lift my hands
For I will always sing when Your love comes down
I could sing of Your love forever, I could sing of Your love forever
I could sing of Your love forever, I could sing of Your love forever
Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how we are thankful Father for the preservation of Your Holy Word, that been preserved and written in so many languages, so that all people may come to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. How thankful we are Father, that your love for us far outweighs Your anger. How we thank you that You are a Loving and gracious God, and that You love us, Your children. Thank you Abba Father, for wrapping us in Your strong and loving arms. May You be the Potter, and may we be the clay, and mold us after Your way. May we each day, come humbly come before you, thanking you for all the blessings that You provide for us Your children.
Amen

"Greeting Everyone in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"
Today's Bible Verse: 1 Corinthians 12:4-7: "There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it the same God who works all in all."
These verses contain key teachings on spiritual gifts.
(1) There are different kinds
(2) Each comes from the Holy Spirit
(3) No gift indicates a person has "more of" the Spirit than another, for "the same God works all
of them in men
(4) Each person has a spiritual gift
(5) These are distributed sovereignty by the Spirit
(6) They function within the church for the "common good" of the body.
Though people are gifted differently by God, God and His works are unified.
Today's Hymn: "Stand By Me"
When the storms of the life are raging, Stand by me (stand by me)
Stand by me, (stand by me)
When the storms of life are raging, Stand by me (stand by me)
When the world is tossing me, like a ship upon the sea
Thou Who rulest wind and water.
Stand by me (stand by me)
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the Spiritual Gifts that You so graciously give to us. May we use these gifts to always bring glory upon You and Your name.
Amen

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 18 November 2011"
Today's Bible Verse: Exodus 3:5 "Then He said, "Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground."
We see here in this verse that God appears to Moses in a burning bush, to announce to the new reluctant hero, that he is to go to Pharaoh "To bring My people out of Egypt." The flame of fire was an extraordinary sight, particularly since the bush was not consumed. God tells Moses to take of His shoes for the ground where Moses was standing was Holy ground and set apart by His divine presence. Moses then hide his face, because he was afraid to look upon God.
We as Christians need to listen to God even while we are listening to other people. We need the help of the Holy Spirit to respond appropriately. Ask the Holy Spirit to think through you, live through you, and love through you.
God's own Presence is alive within us in the Person of the Holy Spirit. If we respond to others needs through our own unaided thought processes, we offer them dry crumbs. When the Holy Spirit empowers our listening and speaking, the river of living water flows through us to other people around us.
Today's Hymn: "Pass Me Not O Gentle Savior"
Pass me not O gentle Savior, Hear my Humble cry
While on others thou are calling, Do not pass me by
Let me at Thy throne of mercy, Find a sweet relief
Kneeling there in deep contrition, Help my unbelief
Trusting only in Thy merit, Would I seek Thy face
Heal my wounded broken spirit, Save my by Thy grace
Thou the spring of all my comfort, More than life to me
Whom have I on earth beside Thee? Whom in Heaven but Thee?
Savior, Savior, Hear my humble cry
While on others Thou art calling, Do not pass me by
Heavenly Father, Lord Christ, Holy Spirit how thankful we are that we serve a Living, Loving, Faithful, Merciful and Gracious God. Thank you Holy Spirit for Your indwelling power that leads us and guides us in our walk with Jesus. Help us everyday, in everything that we say and do, to be more like Jesus as we walk in His footprints in our walk with Him.
