"Greeting in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 8 November 2011"
Today's Bible Verse: Psalm 139:14 "I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well."
David in verses 13-16 affirms that the work of God in his life extended back to His development in his mothers womb. the words, "You covered me" may also be translated as "You wove me together," is a description of the work of God creating the person in the mothers womb. The words, "I am fearfully and wonderfully made," can be said, "I am an awesome wonder."
The God that spoke to Moses and said, "I AM that I AM" is our living God, who is far more abundantly alive than the most vivacious person you may know.
The human body is wonderfully crafted but gravity and the inevitable effects of aging weigh it down. Even the most superb athletic cannot maintain his or her fitness over many decades. Lasting abundant life can be found in God alone. We need not be anxious about the weakness of our bodies. Instead view it as the prelude to His infusing energy into our being.
As you identify more and more fully with God, the Holy Spirit becomes increasingly intertwined with us. Though the process of aging continues, inwardly we will grow stronger with passing years. We as Christians who live close to God will develop an inner alive-ness that makes us seem youthful in spite of our years. Let the Holy Spirit shine through you, as you walk in the light of JESUS.
Today's Hymn: "Great is Thy Faithfulness"
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my father, There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not, Thy compassion's, they fail not, As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be
Great is Thy Faithfulness! Great is Thy Faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see, All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy Faithfulness, Lord unto me
Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, as we look out and see the wonders of nature and how our bodies are wonderfully crafted we see how awesome and wonderful You are. How thankful Abba Father we are that even before we were born You knew us and loved us. Our structure and the meaning of our lives are all established from the beginning by You. may we bring glory and honor to Your name in everything that we say and do.
Amen

"
Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 7 November 2011"
Today's Bible Verses: 1 John 1:5-7 "This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin."
We need to come to God with our defenses down, ready to be blessed and filled with His Presence. We as Christians need to relax and feel the relief of being totally open and authentic with God. We have nothing to hide and nothing to disclose, because God knows everything about us already.
We will never have no other relationship like this close relationship with God. We need to take time to savor its richness, basking in His golden light, His Mercy, His Love and His Grace.
One of the worst consequences of the fall is the elaborate barriers that we erect ourselves and others. Facades abound in the world, and even in His body the Church. Sometimes, church is the last place where people feel free to be themselves. They cover themselves up with Sunday clothes and Sunday smiles. They feel relief when they leave because of the strain of a false fellowship.
We as Christians need to let our primary focus be in communing with God, worshipping God, and glorifying God. When we learn to do that then we will be able to smile at others with His Joy and will be able to love them with God's love.
Today's Hymn: "Praise My Soul The King Of Heaven"
Praise my soul, the King of heaven, To the throne Thy tribute bring
Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven, Evermore God's praises sing
Alleluia! Alleluia! Praise the everlasting King
Praise the Lord for grace and favor, To all people in distress
Praise God, still the same as ever, Slow to chide, and swift to bless
Alleluia! Alleluia! Glorious now God's faithfulness
Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit may we as Christians take the time in our busy life's to savor the rich and amazing relationship that You have given to us who believe and trust in Your name. May we as Christians realize that You Abba Father have so much to give and shower down to us if we but seek, ask and knock. Thank you Jesus for Your blood that was shed for us to cleanse us from all our sins.
Amen
Today's Biblical Truth: "Only the blood of Jesus Christ can cleanse us from all sin, making it possible for imperfect believers to have fellowship with a holy God."

"Greeting in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 4 November 2011"
Today's Bible Verse: Titus 3:4-7 " But when the kindness and love of God our Savior toward men appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Verses 5-7 of today's reading describes what happens when an individual accepts Christ. At that time salvation is applied, and he or she is reborn and renewed spiritually by the Holy Spirit. In addition we are justified, declared innocent of past sins, and adopted into God's family as heirs, certain to inherit eternal life.
Salvation also has present and future tenses. Salvation's present expression is seen in the godly life the Spirit enables us to live. Salvation's future looks ahead to the resurrection and complete release from every remaining taint of sin.
Salvation is to find practical, visible expression in the believer's new devotion to good works. By a devotion to what is morally right as well as beneficial to others, the Christian's good works makes a distint contribution to society and also bring glory to God.
Regeneration refers to the work of the Holy Spirit in the salvation experience that produces new life in the believer. Jesus used the expression "born again" in his conversation with Nicodemus in John 3:3-7. Regeneration is the work of God, through the Holy Spirit, of placing in one who has faith a new nature, capable of doing God's will. The Holy Spirit is the agent or divine workman of this regeneration.
His instrument is the Bible, which is likened to a hammer that judges sin Jeremiah (23:29), a mirror that reveals sin (James 1:23), a sword that defeats Satan (Hebrews 4:12), and a lamp that guides the believers (Psalm 109:105).
People are instantaneously "born again", the second they trust Jesus as their Lord and Savior (1 Peter 1:23). (Praise God) Christians should be careful to cooperate with God as they grow as his sons and daughters, after they are regenerated and given a new life.
This new nature is ground for living the Christian life and performing good deeds. The renewing of the Holy Spirit is the continual process of Christian living that is enabled by the Holy Spirit, resulting in growth in character and good works.
We as believers are justified by God so that we can become coheirs with Jesus in His coming reign (Romans 8:17; 2 Timothy 2:12). To be son and daughters of the King of kings and Lord of lords what an honor that our Lord has bestowed on us His children.
Today's Hymn: "Take My Life and Let It Be"
Take my life, and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee
Take my moments and my days; let them flow in ceaseless praise
Take my hands, and let them move, at the impulse of Thy love
Take my fee, and let them be swift, and beautiful for Thee
Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit how thankful we are Abba Father for Your mercy and grace that delivers us from the penalty of our sins. Jesus thank you for the Holy Spirit who changes us, and guides us and protects us. Help us to be all that You want us to be and may the love and light of Jesus shine through and around us. May we have a glow about us that when others see that fire within us they will want to know what we have and they don't and we can tell them about the Love, Peace, Mercy and Grace of Jesus Christ.
Amen

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 3 November 2011"
Today's Bible Verse: "1 Thessalonians 4:17 "Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord."
Although the word Rapture does not occur in the English Bible the Latin word for "carry off" is "raptus" from which we get the word 'Rapture". A close examination of the prophetic Scriptures reveals a distinction between the Rapture (which relates to the church) and the revelation of Christ in power and glory (which relates more to Israel).
Verses 16-18 for Christians will be an exciting time. For that is when we will be taken up in the air to meet our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As I read these verses I have a picture that accompanying the descent of Christ from heaven will be the voice of an archangel, perhaps Michael, who is portrayed as the leader of the Army of God (Daniel 10:13,21; Jude 9; Revelation 12:7-9). The only other angel mentioned in Scripture is Gabriel. who is given a prominent role as a messenger of God (Daniel 8:16; 9:21; Luke 1:19,26).
The archangels voice will be of triumph because of the great victory at the coming of Christ, culminating thousands of years of spiritual conflict with Satan. (Praise God) The final signal will be the trumpet of God. The three elements consisting of the shout of the Lord Himself, the voice of an archangel and the trumpet of God will be perhaps be separate events occurring in quick order.
The doctrine of the resurrection is a central doctrine of our faith, including as it does the resurrection of Christ and, ultimately, the resurrection of all people. The answer to the question as to how the dead can be raised when the remains of their bodies are in some cases totally scattered is not a problem for our God where "nothing is impossible with Him."
Clearly the resurrected body will be a physical resurrection in which bodily existence will be restored as confirmed in 1 Corinthians 15:51-53. The resurrected bodies of Christians will be like that of Christ (1 John 3:2), incorruptible, and immortal, and yet they will be bodies of flesh and bone Luke 24:39,40; John 20:20,25,27). They will be recognizable, as was the resurrected body of Christ.
Christians who are living will then be caught up in the air with other believers in clouds to meet the Lord in the air. (Wow!!! How exciting is this going to be). In the Bible, the Lord is often accompanied by clouds, signifying His glory (Psalm 68:4; 97:2). The bottom line and most important result is that we will always be with the Lord. (Thank You Jesus).
Today's Hymn: "When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder"
When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more
And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair;
When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore
And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there
On the bright and cloudless morning when the dead in Christ shall rise
And the glory of His resurrection share
With His chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the skies
and the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there
Let us labor for the Master, from dawn till setting sun
Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care;
Then when all of life is over, and our work on earth is done,
And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there
When the roll is called up yonder, When the roll is called up yonder
When the roll is called up yonder, When the roll is called up yonder I'll be there
Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit as Christians how we look forward to the day that when we be will air bound to the clouds to be with you for all eternity. As we wait for that day may we go about your business in spreading the Good News of the Free Gift of Salvation that come with faith and trust in You. May Your light that is within us be as a beacon on the hill drawing others to us, so that we can tell them about Your Love, Mercy and Grace that was so great for us, that You shed your blood for our sins. May we in our daily lives, give You all the praise and all the glory, which You so richly deserve.
Amen

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus for 2 November 2011"
Today's Bible Verse: Luke 4:18,19 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me, To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken hearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty whose who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."
This quote from Isaiah 61:1,2 focuses on the nature of Jesus' ministry. He brings Good News to the brokenhearted, He proclaims liberty to the captives, He gave sight to the blind and He set at liberty the oppressed. Jesus proclaimed the acceptable year of the Lord for He offers a total cancellation of spiritual debt, and a new beginning to those who respond to His message.
Jesus purposely omitted the final phrase of 61:2 "the day of vengeance of our God." Jesus introduces a day of grace, with forgiveness extended to all. Judgment is delayed till His second coming.
Although Jesus was God during His earthly ministry, He still recognized His dependence upon the ministry of the Holy Spirit. This was particularly necessary in view of His humiliation in the Incarnation. So intimate was the relationship between Christ and the Holy Spirit that in the New Testament, He is viewed as endued with the power of the Holy Spirit.
Specifically, the New Testament recognizes the ministry of the Holy Spirit in Christ's incarnation (Hebrew 10:5), birth (Matthew 1:18), growth (Luke 2:40, 52), baptism (Luke 3:21,22), temptation (Luke 4:14), ministry (Luke 4:18,19), miracles (Matthew 12:28), death (Hebrews 9:14), resurrection (Romans 8:11), and glorification (John 16:14).
The Lord recognized His need to have such an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit, which in turn emphasizes the Christian's need to be filled with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18).
Today's Hymn: "Have Thine Own Way Lord"
Have Thy own way Lord, Have Thine own way! Thou art the Potter, I am the clay
Mold me and make me after Thy Will, While I am waiting, yielded and still
Have Thine own way Lord, Have Thine own way! Search me and try me, Master today
Whiter than snow Lord, wash me just now, As in Thy presence, humbly I bow
Have Thine own way Lord, Have Thine own way! Wounded and weary, help me I pray
Power, all power, surely is Thine, Touch me and heal me, Savior divine
Have Thine own way Lord, Have Thine own way! Hold over my being absolute sway
Fill with Thy Spirit, till all shall see, Christ only, always, living in me
Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, as we humbly come before you how thankful that we can come into the throne room of Grace because of the shed blood of Your Son Jesus Christ. Thank you Jesus for giving us our sight that we might see You. Thank you for setting us free from the bondage of sin when we were washed by Your precious blood. Thank you for conquering death, sin and the grave when You arose from the grave and gave us the hope of eternal life with You. May we praise and glorify You in all that we say and do.
Amen

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 1 November 2011"
Today's Bible Verse: Luke 12:22-31 "Then He said to his disciples, "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will pit on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feed them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith? And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. But seek the kingdom of God, and ALL these things shall be ADDED unto you."
Wow!!! Here is our Lord telling us NOT TO WORRY that He will provide and take care of His children. Jesus in these verses extends His teachings from abundant possessions (wealth) to necessities.
We are physical beings in a material universe and must have food, water and shelter to survive. Jesus challenges us not to be anxious even about necessities and gives us two vital insights. (1) We need not be anxious because we have a Heavenly Father who cares for us and (2) we must not be anxious because that would shift the focus of our attention from God to the things of the world.
Anxiety is a result of envisioning the future without God. The best defense against worry is staying in communication with our Heavenly Father. When we turn our thoughts toward Him
we can think more positively. Remember to listen, as well as speak, making your thoughts a dialogue with God.
If you must consider upcoming events follow these rules: (1) Do not linger in the future, because anxieties sprout up like mushrooms when you wander there (2) Remember the promise of God's continual Presence and include God in any imagery that comes to your mind.
Mental discipline does not come easy for us, because we are accustomed of being in control and trying to work it out for ourselves and not giving it to God. However the reality of God's Presence with us now and forever outshines and out weighs anything that we can ever do on our own .
Today's Hymn: "Love Lifted Me"
I was sinking deep in sin, far from the peaceful shore
Very deeply stained within, sinking to raise no more
But the Master of the sea, hear my despairing cry
From the water lifted me now safe am I
Love Lifted Me! (even me) Love Lifted Me! (even me)
When nothing else could help, Love Lifted Me!
Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit how comforting is to know that we need not worry about tomorrow because of the fact that Jesus Lives, we as Christians can face tomorrow. Help us Lord to realize that worry is utterly useless and it shows a lack of faith of You, in our life's. Father, You know our problems and You will provide for us if we but ask. You laugh at us Father when we start to plan our lives, knowing that our plans are doomed to fail. You all so what us to depend solely on you, and you have promised us that you would never leave, nor forsake us. Help us Holy Spirit, to keep our focus on You, and to bring all our burdens, cares and needs to You.
Amen

"Blessed is every one who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways." Psalm 128:1
Your Sister in Christ,

"Greeting in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 31 October 2011"
Today's Bible Verse: "Ephesians 3:3-5 "How that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, by which when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets."
The word mystery in the New Testament identifies truth that was previously hidden from common knowledge, but is now revealed, discernible only by the aid of the Holy Spirit (Romans 16:25,26; 1 Corinthians 2:7-10).
There are seven aspects of "the mystery" concerning that period known as "the times of the Gentiles." They are: (1) mystery of the incarnation (1 Corinthians 2:7; Colossians 2:2,9); (2) the mystery of the gospel (Ephesians 6:19); (3) the mystery of Christ and His church (Ephesians 5:32); (4) the mystery of the indwelling of Christ (Colossians 1:27); (5) the mystery of Jews and Gentiles in one body (Ephesians 3:1-12); (6) the mystery of the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 13); and (7) the mystery of the Rapture (1 Corinthians 15:51).
Because the mystery of the gospel was not revealed clearly until the church was established, Satan and his demonic servants were the unwitting servants of God. Had they understood what they were doing, they would have not crucified Christ (1 Corinthians 2:8). We as Christians, however, who do understand the plan of God for this world, should be eager to do his or her part in spreading the Good News of the FREE GIFT of SALVATION that comes through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
The word holy in verse five is used in the sense of being set apart, not as an implication of moral superiority. The apostles and prophets were set apart by God to convey the Spirit's new revelation.
Today's Hymn: "He's A Wonderful Savior To Me"
I was lost in sin, but Jesus rescued me; He's a wonderful Savior to me
I was bound by fear, but Jesus set me free, He's a wonderful savior to me
He's a friend so true, so patient and so kind, He's a wonderful Savior to me;
Everything that I need in Him I always find, He's a wonderful Savior to me
He's always near to comfort and cheer, He's a wonderful Savior to me
He forgets my sin, He dries my every tear, He's a wonderful savior to me
Dearer grows the love of Jesus day by day, He's a wonderful Savior to me
Sweeter is His grace while pressing on my way, He's a wonderful Savior to me
For He's a wonderful savior to me, He's a wonderful Savior to me
I was lost in sin, but Jesus took me in, He's a wonderful Savior to me
Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit as we search Your word and learn more about You and what You have done for us, and as we learn how to live our daily life's in serving You, may we take what we read, and apply the teachings in our lives so that others will see You in us, and may we hide Thy words in our hearts, that we might not sin against You. May we as Christians spread the Good News of Salvation so that we might bear much fruit for Thee.
Amen
