Today's Bible Verse: John 3:3 "Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
The new birth or regeneration, is the act by which God imparts spiritual life to one who trusts Christ. Without this spiritual birth, a person cannot perceive spiritual things, nor can he or she enter into the Kingdom of God.
In the King James Version in verse 3 the words, "Verily, verily" are used, and they only occur in John's Gospel, and then only for emphasis. "Born again" may be translated either "again" or "from above." Perhaps both ideas should be combined here, to indicate the repetition of an act from another source.
John might have said "again" had he wished to indicate repetition of an act from the same source. Only John uses this expression in the Gospels. This concept of the new Birth includes these implications: (1) It undercuts Jewish dependence on being sons of Abraham (2) It reveals that there must be a work of God "from above," since the Jews considered children (new births) to be God's blessing and (3) It teaches the necessity of a new beginning.

Pray for Youcef Nardarkhani the Iranian pastor who has been sentenced to death for his refusal to denounce Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and also for his lawyer who has been sentence to 9 years in prison for defending him. Pray for God's Peace on the city of Jerusalem and His Blessings on the Nation of Israel. Always remember that when you have a spiritual dilemma in your life and you yell out, "I CAN'T," GOD Whispers to you, "BUT I CAN."
"Come to Me, all you labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28
