God's Words of Wisdom

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 1 May 2012"

Today's Bible Verses: Colossians 1:21-22 "And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight."

Being alienated from God indicates a desperate state of utter separation and isolation, which in lost humanity's relationship with God is also marked by hostility.  It is our own evil which makes us hostile to, and which alienates us from God.

Body and flesh in verse 22 clearly states that Christ became man, and experienced a physical death.  "To present you...holy in His sight," expresses the ultimate purpose of reconciliation: It is to eventually usher the believer, made perfect and holy, into the heavenly presence of God.

The believer who was once an enemy of God, and alienated by our own wicked works, will one day be presented as above reproach because of the Death of Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Today's Biblical Truth: "The work of Christ will overthrow the damage effected by the Fall and change  all of Creation from a position of enmity to a re-relationship of peace and friendship."

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Thank You for the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.  Thank You Jesus, for the Sacrifice that You made for us, dying in our place, so that we made be reconciled to Your Father, when we accepted You into our lives.  Thank You, for Your never ending joy, and never failing Love and Care for us.  All Blessings, Honor, Glory, and Power are Yours.  May we, as Your sons and daughters, give You all the Praise that is due You, our Almighty God.      Amen
