"Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on 22 July 2011"
Today's Bible Verse: "Mark 13:26 "Then they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory."
Jesus speaking to us in this verse says: I am your Risen, Living Savior!! Through My resurrection you have been born again to an ever lasting hope. It is vital for you to remain hopeful, no matter what is going on in your life.
People put their hope in a variety of things, wealth, power, health, medical treatments, but all these are insufficient. When storms break upon your life, you can only fine one adequate source of help---ME. The hope I provide is an anchor for your soul, firm and secure in the most troublesome of waters. A good way to remain anchored in ME is to whisper as often as needed: "Jesus, You are my hope." This affirmation strengthens you and keeps you connected to ME.
I am constantly working to transform your life. You need My help continually to keep your hope alive. I stand ready to help you at all times--during stormy times as well as times of smooth sailing. I am not only ever-living, but also more abundantly alive than you can possibly imagine.
There are NO limits to what My Great Power and Glory can accomplish! I can change the most "hopeless" situation into outright victory. Moreover, as you affirm your trust in me-no matter how difficult your circumstances-I am able to transform you: Gradually and lovingly. Those who hope in Me will never ever be disappointed.
Today's Hymn: "Let Others See Jesus In You" (verse 1)
When passing through this world of sin, and others your life shall view
Be clean and pure without, within; Let others see Jesus in you
Let others see Jesus in you, Let other see Jesus in you
Keep telling the story, be faithful and true
Let others see Jesus in you
Abba Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, today Lord and forevermore I will put my trust wholly in You. On You Lord my solid Rock I will I build my life on, and I will look for Your Great Power and Glory.
Amen

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on 21 July 2011"
Today's Bible Verse: 2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is given by inspiration of god, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."
"Inspiration" refers to the supernatural guidance of the writers of Scripture by the Spirit of God, so that what they wrote was the divine Word of God, transcribed accurately, reliably, and without error. The word inspiration itself pictures God breathing out His word to men. Paul teaches that God was actively involved in the revelation of this truth to the apostles and prophets, who wrote it down. The author of the Bible is God Himself. With this we then see that the Scripture is true and it affirms that it is completely authoritative.
Since the Scriptures are given to help Christan's grow in maturity, the Study of the Bible is profitable in four ways:
(1) Doctrine (Teaching)
(2) Reproof (Conviction)
(3) Correction (Setting something straight)
(4) Instruction (the process of training a child)
The Study of Scripture will make a believer complete, capable, and proficient. We are to be fully prepared. Christians who master the Word of God will never lose his or her way. Knowing God's Word and applying it in our daily life's will produce right practices.
Today's Hymn: "Room At The Cross For You"
The cross upon which Jesus died, is a shelter in which we can hide
And its grace so free is sufficient for me, and deep id it's fountain as wide as the sea
There's room at the cross for you, there's room at the cross for you,
Though millions have come, there still room for one,
Yes, there's room at the cross for you.
Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how we thankful for the Bible, Your Holy Word. As we as Christians study your word, may our eyes and heart be opened to what is written there, that we might apply the teachings there within our hearts, that we might not sin against Thee.
Amen

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on 19 July 2011"
Today's Bible Verse: Acts: 16:29-31 "Then he called for a light, ran in and fall down trembling before Paul and Silas. And He brought them out and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" So they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household."
Paul and Silas were in prison and a great earthquake shook the foundations of the prison so that is opened the doors to their cells. The jail keeper was terrified because according to Roman Law a guard who allowed a prisoner to escape was put to death.
Paul being a Roman citizen and realizing this Roman custom assured the jailer that they were still there. The compassion that Paul and Silas showed to the jailer brought him to his knees and he asked them, "What must I do to be saved?" This question by the jailer would indicate that he had some knowledge of Paul's Sermons.
Paul's response to this question, remains to this day one of the simplest and clearest answers to this vital question that can be found, "BELIEVE in the NAME of the LORD JESUS CHRIST and YOU will be SAVED." "Wow" No other work is ever needed to be saved. How easy it is to receive the free gift of Salvation, but how hard it is for our sinful nature to let go, in order to have that NEW LIVE in CHRIST".
Today's Hymn: "Trust and Obey"
Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies, but His smile quickly drives away
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear, can abide while we trust and obey
Trust and obey, for there's no other way, to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey
Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how simple you have made it for us to receive Eternal Life. It is not of our works Abba Father, but it is because of our believing, and trusting in the name of Jesus Christ, Your only begotten Son, that saves us from our sins, and cleanses us from all unrighteousness. Thank you for that promise that stands even today.
Amen

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 18 July 2011"
Hello everyone!! Today I am sharing with all of you a poem that I have written. God has blessed me with this wonderful gift and each day is a new adventure with our Almighty, Loving, Caring and Gracious God. With the light of the world within me I am a beacon that draws others to me, to see why I am so happy which in turn allows me to tell them about Jesus and His free gift of salvation and eternal life.
This started out as words of encouragement in an email card to a friend, for her daughter who had felt that the Lord had abandoned her. As I was writing it, the Holy Spirit spoke to me the words listed below. I hope that you like it, and that it uplifts you in song and praise before our Almighty God.
"God Loves You"
God Loves You, and He Will Never Ever Leave You, Nor Forsake You
He is always there by your side, with His Loving Arms Opened Wide
Wanting to hold you next to Him, With His Strong and Loving Arms
He will never forsake You, nor abandon you
He is and always will be, Your best and faithful friend
If you would but call Him, He will come, like He promises in His Word
Open your arms, and run to His nail scared hands, and opened arms
As He speaks to your heart and mind, say, "Here I am Lord, I am Thine"
As you bask in His Love, Mercy and Grace
Jesus is tenderly calling you to come to Him, for His Mercy, Grace and Peace
Seek Him and you will find Him, Knock and the door will be opened
Ask, and your Abba Father will shower you with His Love and Grace
For Jesus is the Same YESTERDAY, TODAY, and FOREVER
He never changes His mind nor His promises, for He always will be
Your Caring, Loving, Gracious Almighty God
Heavenly Father help us in our Daily Lives to seek You and to always listen for Your soft, tender, sweet voice as You guide us through each day. May we always and forever more, give You all the Praise and Glory for which You so richly deserve.
Amen

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for 17 July 2011"
Today's Bible Verse: Mark 10:14-16 ""But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whosoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it. And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them.
"Wow" Since I am a child of God, I am looking forward to Jesus taking me up in His arms, laying His strong and loving arms around me, gazing into His eyes, hearing His voice and laughter and saying to me, "Welcome thou good and faithful servant to the kingdom that I have prepared for you."
When the disciples of Jesus rebuked the parents who tried to bring there children to Jesus, He was "deeply displeased. We are foolish to ignore the little ones, who are very important to the Lord.
Children show sincerity, eagerness, a trusting attitude and total dependence on their parents. With that child likeness, we as Christians need to have the same attitude in serving and being dependent upon our Abba Father.
Today' Hymn: "Child of the King"
My Father is rich in houses and lands, He holdeth the wealth of the world in His hands
Of rubies and diamonds, of silver and gold, His coffers are full His riches untold
I'm a child of the King, a child of the King, with Jesus my Savior, I'm a child of the King
Abba Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, may we come before You as children with sincerity, eagerness, a trusting attitude and total dependence on You for everything that we do as Christians in serving You our Abba Father.
Amen

"Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on 15 July 2011"
Today's Bible Verse: 1 Peter 3:14-16 "And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness sake, you are blessed. "And to do not be afraid of their threats nor be troubled." But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having good conscience that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. For it is better, if it is the Will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil."
Since everything in this sinful world does not function as it should because of sin, even we as Christians may undergo suffering. Peter gave the following guidelines to the Christians response to unjust suffering:
(1) Do not fear (2) Remember that Christ is Lord (3) Remain hope filled and willing to explain why you are still positive about life (what a testimony that is) (4) Keep on doing good so you will have a clear conscience, and your enemies will be ashamed (5) Remember it is better to suffer for the Lord, than to suffer for a wrong that we have done.
We as Christians should make certain that when or if we suffer, it is only because we have served God faithfully, and not because we have done anything wrong. In the Will of God, we are sometimes called on to suffer for well-doing as a testimony to others. God specially honors those who suffer for doing what is right.
Today's Hymn: "God Is Good All The Time"
If you are walking through the valley, and there are shadows all around
Do not fear, He will guise you, He will keep you safe and sound
"Cause He's promised to never leave you, nor forsake you and His Word is true
God is good, God is good, all the time
Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, how good it is to know that when we suffer unjustly for our faith and trust in You, that You have promised us that You would not forsake nor leave us and that You would be with us every step of the way. May others see the light of Jesus within us so that when they ask us why we are so happy, we can boldly tell them, "Because of Jesus whom lives within me, and is me".
Amen

"Greeting in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on 14 July 2011"
Today's Bible Verse: Psalm 16:11 "You will show me the path of life (past); In Your presence is fullness of joy (present); At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore (futures)."
In this verse it turns out, that sometimes you CAN have your cake and eat it too! God himself promises! We would never have found that path of true faith ourselves as we wandered through life's wilderness. Jesus searched for us and brought us home to life in His family, His church, here on earth.
Throughout our earthly lives, He will continue to fill us with joy in His presence. Regardless of how we fill at any given moment, regardless of whether we happily eat birthday cake or coke down the dry bread of grief, our Lord's presence buoys our hopes and calms our fears and anxieties.
Our eyelids will one day close in death, but that will not end our pleasure in God's presence. Instead, we will experience even fuller joys, joys we can't even imagine now. We'll inherit the 'eternal pleasures' of God's presence, all because of the life, death and resurrection of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to whom we owe our eternal gratitude.
Today's Hymn: "Jesus Paid It All" (verse 4)
Lord, now indeed I find, Thy power and Thine alone,
Can change the leper's spots, and melt the heart of stone
Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow.
Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, as we look back on our lives, we see the sustaining power of Your presence. As we think about Your presence in our life today, our hearts overflow with thanksgiving and praise. As for your promise of future joy, we are at a loss for words for all your love and saving grace, but the words that do come to our minds are "Thank You" for loving us before we loved YOU.
Amen
